The paper is devoted to the analysis of π– meson production in , , , and reactions at different projectile energies. The description of these processes is important in understanding of the structure of nuclear matter. A method based on a relativistically invariant variable introduced by us is applied. This method allows one to observe a regularity in π– meson production for a wide set of reactions at different energies in terms of the relativistically invariant target mass variable. This gives grounds to assume that this representation has a predictive power and can be used in analysis of existing experimental data and planning experiments at the NICA accelerator complex. BM@N (Baryonic Matter at Nuclotron) is the first fixed target experiment collecting data at the NICA accelerator. The goal of BM@N physics program is a study of highly compressed nuclear matter in heavy ion beams. The Nuclotron provides heavy ion beams with energies from 2.3 to 4.5 AGeV, which is suitable for studies of strange mesons and multi–strange hyperons produced in nucleus-nucleus collisions close to the kinematic threshold [1]. BM@N expеriment collected first data in 2017 (Run-6) with a carbon beam of 4.0 and 4.5 AGeV kinetic energy with' a set of solid targets: Al, C, Cu, Pb. Leptonic CP violation is one of the most important topics in neutrino physics. CP violation in the neutrino sector is strongly related to the nature of neutrinos: whether they are Dirac or Majorana particles. In [1] we have shown that for Majorana neutrinos appearance of nonzero Majorana CP-violating phases combined with strong magnetic field during supernova core-collapse can induce new resonances in neutrino oscillations, for example in channel. In this paper we further study new resonances in Majorana neutrino oscillations, in particular energy dependence of amplitudes of resonant oscillations. Our findings suggest a potential astrophysical setup for studying the nature of neutrino masses and leptonic CP violation and may be important for future neutrino experiments, such as JUNO, Hyper-Kamiokande and DUNE. In Novosibirsk, the Synchrotron Radiation Facility Siberian Circular Photon Source (SRF SKIF) 4+ generation synchrotron radiation source is currently under construction. Its specific feature is a low emittance at a high beam current. Collective effects in the dynamics of an intense beam may lead to various instabilities and, correspondingly, to worsen the quality of a beam or its complete loss. To suppress the undesirable effects, it is necessary to analyze the interaction of a beam with different vacuum chamber elements to minimize their impedances. This paper presents the calculation of longitudinal and transversal impedances for the main elements of the vacuum chamber of the SKIF storage ring, such as the fundamental harmonic resonator, flange connection, compensator, beam position monitor, and pumping port. The total coherent losses, kick-factor, and total effective impedance are calculated, and the contributions from each type of elements to the total characteristics are estimated. In future electron-positron colliders, such as FC-ee and CEPC, it is planned to accurately measure the beam energy by resonance depolarization. In this paper, we propose an alternative approach based on the rapid resonant rotation of the spins into the horizontal plane of the ring and their subsequent free rotation around the equilibrium vertical direction. The frequency of free coherent spin precession is proposed to be measured by the beats of the number of scattering events of electrons interacting with circularly polarized laser light. Fourier analysis of the number of electrons dropped out of the ring aperture to determine the frequency of free precession. In this paper, spin dynamics is simulated at all stages of the process, taking into account synchrotron oscillations and energy diffusion, and statistical estimates of the accuracy of determining the frequency of spin precession for beam parameters in FCC-ee are made. This paper presents a design of a calibration system for the Light Readout System of the prototype modular Liquid Argon Time-Projection Chamber (LArTPC) of the Near Detector of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). The calibration system and its components have been tested at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) and during the prototype LArTPC trials conducted at the University of Bern, Switzerland. The results demonstrate that the system fulfills its intended functionality, allowing for the calibration of the photodetectors in the light-readout system of the LArTPC and the study of its temporal characteristics. This paper presents a systematic discussion of the design of all key subsystems of the ACCULINNA-2 facility: components of the primary beam line and beam diagnostics equipment, production target, and primary beam absorbers; equipment for the transport, purification, and diagnostics of the secondary beam; a RF-filter for additional beam purification; the cryogenic physical target; the forward spectrometer; and the automated control system. The characteristics of secondary beams are presented, such as angular and spatial distribution in the final focus; the quality of identification of ions by the E-ToF method; and the yields of the certain isotopes obtained during experiments in 2018-2020 with primary beams B (33.5 AMeV), N (49.3 AMeV), and 32S (52.7 AMeV) while tuning to secondary He, Li, Li, Be, S, and P beams with different energies. A comparison of secondary beam transport with the calculated one has been performed. The possibility is substantiated to carry out experiments with light exotic ions at high accuracy of detection and measuring parameters of the incident ion on condensed targets of hydrogen and helium isotopes. A huge amount of experimental data should be collected, stored and processed in large modern high-energy physics experiments, including the experiments of the NICA (Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility) project at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. In this regard, corresponding performance requirements are put forward for existing online systems. The online data processing system developed for the BM@N experiment within the NICA project is based on a distributed architecture, enabling it to meet high performance requirements through scalability and parallel computing. The purpose of the online system is selective data processing (conversion to event digits in the CERN ROOT format and fast event reconstruction) and data monitoring of the ongoing experiment. To achieve this goal, the FairMQ package implemented by the FAIR collaboration (GSI Institute, Germany) has been chosen to communicate distributed processes executed on the nodes of the computing infrastructure with each other through the exchange of their messages. One of the issues in developing and using such systems is the problem of the distributed run and control of the processes. The task has been solved by using the FAIR DDS (Dynamic Deployment System) toolkit. The BM@N online system starts the predefined software tasks in a required sequence and allows managing them during sessions, including the transmission of messages between the tasks and the update of some properties. The Spin Physics Detector is a collider experiment at NICA designed to study the spin structure of the proton and deuteron and other spin-related phenomena using polarized beams. The collision energy is up to 27 GeV and the luminosity is up to 1032 cm–2 s–1 in pp mode. Two scintillator-based detectors, Beam-Beam Counters (BBC), will be installed upstream and downstream the interaction point and will serve as a tool for beam diagnostics including local polarimetry. The BBCs will be designed as high granularity scintillation detectors. In this paper we present the tests of a BBC prototype based on the tiles with the green wavelength shifter and silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) readout. The prototype was tested with 1 × 1 mm2 and 3 × 3 mm2 SensL SiPM using CAEN FERS-5200 front-end readout system. A PXI-compatible amplifier and preamplifier module for the 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy is presented in this paper. This PXI-compatible amplifier and preamplifier was developed for the purpose of utilization with proportional gas counters sensitive to the 14.4 keV low energy gamma rays as a part of PXI-based spectrometers developed at Palacký University Olomouc. The module is based on the Amptek A225 and A206 integrated circuits. This solution allows miniaturization of the spectrometric system, as the amplifier and the preamplifier are in a form of one PXI module, which is built in the compact PXI-chassis. There is also no need for an additional power supply, as the developed module is powered by the PXI connector included in the PXI chassis. This study deals with a comparison of the developed PXI-compatible amplifier and preamplifier board with the Amptek PC25 board in the stand-alone box (powered by a laboratory power supply), and with the ORTEC commercially available amplifier (572A) and preamplifier (142PC). The focus of this study is a comparison of those setups considering the false detections, lost detections, the multichannel analysis spectra, the Mössbauer spectrum quality, and the resonance effect of Mössbauer spectra. In this paper we study the signal-to-background ratios for the -meson associated and direct photon main production processes at the energies of SPD NICA experiment using the Monte Carlo generator PYTHIA8. We extract the set of kinematic constraints allowing to improve signal-to-background ratios. We compare the results of our simulation for the direct photon spectra in different intervals of and with the experimental data and present the predictions for signal-to-background ratios in direct photon production at the NICA energy of GeV. The NOvA experiment, aimed at studying the neutrino oscillations in the muon neutrino and antineutrinos beam, uses two segmented liquid scintillator detectors, with masses of 300 tons and 14 kilotons, respectively. The large size and high segmentation of the NOvA detectors, as well as a flexible system of software triggers and data acquisition, make it possible to solve additional physical problems, in particular, to detect and study the atmospheric neutrino flux. Cold neutrons (with energy 10–7–10–4 eV) have found broad application in many areas of modern physics. A new and prospective field of application of low-energy neutrons is the boron neutron capture therapy of oncological illness. This method is based on neutron capture by boron-10, previously accumulated in a tumor, and reaction 10B(n,α)7Li with following escape of energetic α particle and lithium atomic nucleus. The delivery of cold neutrons directly to the area of a malignant tumor can make it possible to increase the localization of the therapeutic dose in the tumor, exclude any impact on healthy cells, and increase the effectiveness of boron neutron capture therapy (BNСT), both in the case of deep-lying malignant tumors and those on the surface. The research described in the article is devoted to the generation of cold neutrons on the VITA accelerator-based epithermal neutron source. We report in this paper high lying precise resonance energies of the 4s4p2 (3P1)np and 4s4p2 (1D2)np autoionizing Rydberg series from the single photoionization of the 4s24p2 (3P1) and 4s24p2 (1D2) metastable states of Br3+. Calculations are performed in the framework of the screening constant per unit nuclear charge (SCUNC) method. Excellent agreement was obtained with recent experimental measurements by Macaluso et al. [J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Opt. Phys. 52, 145 002 (2019)] for n = 5–17. The analysis of the present results has been carried out within the framework of standard quantum defect theory and the SCUNC procedure by calculating the effective nuclear charge. The present SCUNC data predicted up to n = 40 could be of great importance to the atomic physics community in understanding the chemical evolution of Br in the Universe and in determining its abundance in astrophysical nebulae. The development of compact linear accelerator for medical radiation therapy facility has come to the final stage of production at NRNU MEPhI for "Rusatom Healthcare". The developed linac will be used to generate a photon flux for the external beam therapy for the cancer treatment. Generation of the photon flux in the linac's target is the topic of this article. This paper describes an approach enabling the continuous monitoring of all devices on the Synchrotron Radiation Facility Siberian Circular Photon Source (SRF SKIF) accelerator complex units synchronically with the measurements of beam parameters. The operation of devices is monitored in distributed controllers with a frequency of 10 kHz. After detecting any deviations from specified parameters above the tolerance value in the operation of a device, the controller of this device sets a corresponding signal. When a beam exhibits an abnormal behavior, the comparative analysis of synchronous data from the distributed controllers and the beam diagnosing electronics is performed to reveal the device resulting in such a behavior. This paper is devoted to researching the resonant structure of the accelerating sections of the LINAC-200 accelerator in the CST Studio software. A simulation has been carried out for different operating conditions of the structure, i.e., at room temperature (T = 20°C) and using a thermal stabilization system (T = 45°C). The Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences (BINP SB RAS), plans to create the Super Charm-Tau Factory (SCTF) accelerator complex, it will operate in a wide energy range of 2E = 2–5 GeV in c.m. and have design luminosity of L = 1 × 1035 cm–2 s–1. As part of the physical program, it is proposed to carry out the experiment by measuring the Weinberg running weak mixing angle for the J/ψ meson energy. Due to the smallness of the predicted effect, it is necessary to exclude the influence of systematic errors from unpredictable changes in the magnet lattice and the beam background. To do this, we have to organize frequent changes in sign of the longitudinal polarization of the electron beam at the interaction point. In this paper we have investigated the possibility of the spin-flip using the spin RF-rotator in a colliding electron ring with three Siberian snakes. The VITA accelerator neutron source based on a vacuum-insulated tandem accelerator operates at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics. At the accelerator source, when transporting a powerful (up to 10 kW/cm2) beam of protons or deuterons to the target, neutrons with a wide range of energies—cold, thermal, epithermal, and fast—are generated. The transported beam or neutron flux is used for conducting research in the field of boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT); measuring the cross section of nuclear reactions (7Li(p, p'γ)7Li, 7Li(p, α)4He, 6Li(d, α)α, 7Li(d, α)5He, 6Li(d, p)7Li, and 7Li(d, α)αn); conducting materials science research together with INP, CERN, and ITER; and for other applications. The creation of a separate compact installation for the generation of fast neutrons is an urgent task; it will allow the treatment of malignant tumors by fast neutrons and the radiation testing of promising materials. The generation of fast neutrons at the existing accelerator neutron source is complicated, because the source of negative hydrogen ions and the bending magnet were designed and produced for the generation and transportation of a proton beam. The installation being created will be designed to generate and conduct a deuteron beam, while the high-voltage and intermediate electrodes of the accelerator will be connected directly to the corresponding sections of the high-voltage power source located inside the gas part of the feedthrough insulator. This paper presents the concept of a compact accelerator source of fast neutrons under development; the results of numerical calculations, modeling, and preliminary testing of the accelerator power supply in air are presented and summarized and further steps of manufacturing and testing of the proposed power supply are formulated. The purpose of this work is to search for the optimal design and arrangement of magnets to ensure the correct and uniform distribution of the magnetic field in the plasma chamber of the electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) source, using the DECRIS-5M source as an example. In this paper we investigate the influence of external magnetic fields created by solenoids in the area of a hexapole magnet from the point of view of demagnetization, as well as the selection of materials to minimize this effect. Also, we consider the influence of the material choice on the service life of magnets. Numerical simulations were carried out using the COMSOL Multiphysics software package. In addition, we have carried out magnetic field measurements of the DECRIS-5M source hexapole magnet. A laser pulse from one channel of the Russian eXawatt Center for Extreme Light Studies (XCELS) facility will make it possible to accelerate an electron bunch with a charge of 50 pC to an energy of GeV with an energy spread of 0.7%. This requires a plasma channel of length 70 m, radius , and plasma density on the axis of . This paper outlines three authorized development projects for the U-70 operating accelerator complex aimed at extending its capabilities of using accelerated proton and carbon-nuclei beams for applied purposes. In many cases, users of contemporary undulator-based x-ray sources exploit the relatively narrow spectral width of the undulator radiation in the forward direction. In this paper, we discuss the use of a distributed optical klystron, i.e., an optical klystron with several magnetic bunchers, to minimize the linewidth of the undulator radiation. This paper describes experiments with the main parameters of the RF accelerating systems of the Booster and the Nuclotron of the Nuclotron based Ion Collider fAcility (NICA) complex, which affect the capture and acceleration, as well as the additional hardware solutions used in this case. The operating modes of accelerating stations of the Booster and the Nuclotron are considered. In this paper, inflation is considered in the scalar tensor theory with a nonlinear kinetic term. It was shown that in the case of a power law potential () and the theory cannot describe the current observational data. In the case of , the description of the theory becomes more complicated, since the slow roll approximation does not work in this case. A new time-of-flight (ToF) system of the NA61/SHINE hadron spectrometer at the extracted beam of the Super Hadron Synchrotron in CERN has been developed in 2019–2022 by the staff of the Laboratory of High-Energy Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The new ToF system is based on Multigap Resistive Plate Chambers (MRPCs) technology. The previous system consisting of scintillation counters was substituted with the new ToF system. This paper presents a study aimed at studying and evaluating the possibility of using machine learning in methods of predictive analysis of the operation of the cooling system of the IRT-T reactor. Machine learning is a subspecies of artificial intelligence used in large-volume data analytics. The currently existing methods of processing data on technological parameters are imperfect and do not allow predicting the development of operational events. The proposed approach will allow not only to centrally collect data on technological parameters, but also to output an analysis of possible outcomes and recommendations for changing operating modes. The DSpace software platform was specifically designed to create modern open repositories in academic and educational environments. It is an open-source platform with rich functionality, making it an attractive tool for academic, non-profit and commercial organizations creating open digital repositories. DSpace is supported by a large community of developers and users from around the world, allowing researchers and scientists to publish their papers and data. In our work we consider the use of DSpace software for the JINR repository, which contains articles, preprints and other materials reflecting and facilitating to JINR research activities. A test prototype of the repository, the usage of entities and collections, support for English and Russian languages, schemes for obtaining metadata from external resources such as INSPIREHEP, eLIBRARY are presented. The Electron String Ion Source (ESIS) is type of electron beam ion source working in a reflex mode under specific conditions [1]. The operation is based on step-by-step ionization of the ions by hitting with electrons of an electron string. ESIS is a complex facility and ion trap control system is its important part. It affects ion beam formation process and transfer to NICA HILAC. The version, which is under operation now is based on resistance divider. The new system is based on independent modules and could make operation process more flexible. The efficient operation of large physics experiments is ensured by many factors, one of which is software used for both online and offline systems. At present, a set of information systems is being developed for the NICA experiments, including the first fixed target experiment, BM@N. These information systems are used, among other things, for centralized storage, access and exchange of information being necessary for the experiment. Currently, the software complex of the BM@N experiment contains the following set of the information systems, such as the Online Electronic Logbook (e-Log platform), Configuration Information System, Unified Condition Database (UniConDa), Geometry Database and Event Metadata System (EMS). It is obvious that the systems will be in demand in other experiments of the NICA project, therefore special attention is paid to development of a new common deployment complex that provides convenient, configurable installation of the listed information systems for other particle collision experiments, but primarily for the experiments at NICA. This paper presents the results of an experimental implementation of the method of multiangle scanning of a carbon ion beam on a temporary radiobiological stand of the U-70 accelerator complex. Using multiangle scanning, the transverse distributions of the intensity of a 12C carbon ion beam with an energy of 300 MeV/nucleon are obtained and a comparison of the results with the data measured by film dosimeters is carried out. Kinetic roughening of a randomly growing surface can be modelled by the Kardar–Parisi–Zhang equation with a time-independent ("spatially quenched" or "columnar") random noise. In this paper, we use the field-theoretic renormalization group approach to investigate how randomly moving medium affects the kinetic roughening. The medium is described by the stochastic differential Navier–Stokes equation for incompressible viscous fluid with an external stirring force. We find that the action functional for the full stochastic problem should be extended to be renormalizable: a new nonlinearity must be introduced. Moreover, in order to correctly reconcile dynamics of the scalar and velocity fields, a new parameter must be introduced as a factor in the covariant derivative of the scalar field. The resulting action functional involves four coupling constants and a dimensionless ratio of kinematic coefficients. The one-loop calculation (the leading order of the expansion in with being the space dimension) shows that the renormalization group equations in the five-dimensional space of those parameters reveal a curve of fixed points that involves an infrared attractive segment for . The Event Metadata System (EMS) developed for BM@N, a fixed target experiment of the NICA (Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility) project has been designed to store and index event records for particle collisions obtained at the BM@N facility and subsequently reconstructed. The system enables to quickly search for a required set of physics events based on various given criteria for further physics analyses. The main implemented interfaces to the EMS include Web UI (user interface) and REST API (application programming interface), that are presented in the paper in detail. The both interfaces have its own main use patterns, namely, the Web UI is mostly employed for browsing the Event Catalogue and checking its overall state, while the REST API helps to integrate the EMS with other software systems of the experiment, such as the main BM@N framework, BmnRoot to conveniently select events for a particular physics analysis. The interfaces have been developed using Kotlin multiplatform technology, hence, both front-end and back-end components of the Web service are parts of one project using the same programming language and a common codebase. The paper presents results on multiplicity correlations in two rapidity intervals and mean transverse momentum vs event multiplicity correlation function calculated in the developed Monte-Carlo model of multi-particle production run for p + p interactions at and GeV. The model is based on interacting colour strings approach with longitudinal and transverse strings dynamics. Results are compared with the ALICE data and PYTHIA 8.3 simulations. This paper presents a model for determining the second critical field of superconductors, obtained on the basis of changes in the spin basis states of a system of two particles with spin 1/2 in a magnetic field. The obtained critical field estimate is consistent with experimental data for superconducting alloys, some metallic compounds, nitrides and Laves phases, fullerides and other superconducting compounds. This paper presents the results of studying the yield averaged over the bremsstrahlung flux of the promising medical radioisotope 177Lu in the (γ, p) reaction from hafnium targets enriched in 178Hf (92%) after irradiation with electron bremsstrahlung at a cutoff energy of 55 MeV. An assessment is made of the conditions under which the 177Lu can be produced in quantities necessary for nuclear medicine. The amount of 177mLu and other accompanying isotopes of lutetium that form simultaneously with 177Lu in the proposed production method is estimated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper we present the results of a study of a high-voltage 32-channel DAC AD5535 for powering silicon photomultipliers. Built-in high-voltage buffer amplifiers allow output voltage regulation in the range of up to 200 V which provides application for a broad SiPM types including their serial connection. The significant output current of 500 μA/ch allows biasing the SiPM arrays and assemblies. The documentation indicates a significant temperature dependence of ppm/C which limits the use of DAC for SiPM powering. This work demonstrates the excellent temperature stability of the chip. In this paper, we study lepton pair production with polarized electron-positron beams in the context of the non-commutative standard model, an extension of the standard model based on non-commutative geometry. By employing the Seiberg–Witten map, we compute the production cross-section up to first order in the non-commutative parameter . In our analysis we use the same value for both space-space and time-space non-commutative parameter, and we focus on collision energies in the range 300–1000 GeV, appropriate for the future ILC collider. Our main objectives are to examine the angular distribution and the total cross-section, aiming to explore the effects of space-time non-commutativity at an energy scale around and the possibility of observing these effect at the ILC. Our results indicate a significant deviation in the angular distribution due to non-commutativity when . Moreover, the total cross-section for lepton pair production is more sensitive to space-time deformations in the polarized case compared to the unpolarized case. Specifically, we find that at center-of-mass energy , the deviation in the polarized case is approximately eight times larger than that in the unpolarized case. The lattice of the NICA collider includes 80 twin-aperture superconducting dipole magnets. Measurements of the magnetic field parameters should be done for both apertures of each collider magnet. The paper addresses a new method proposed for detecting and identifying road infrastructure elements. The method can also be used for other image processing and analysis tasks. The method uses a YOLO-type single-stage visual detector to predict the coordinates of a certain number of bounding boxes with a MobileNet convolutional neural net used as a classifier. The tracking mechanism makes it possible to link the frames by assigning a unique number to every detected object. A large set of 160 000 traffic signs was used as the training data set for the model. A data flow architecture has been developed. The metrics generated and the rate of inference are sufficient to use as a model for collecting new data. The findings can be used for further analysis. The paper presents the performance studies of the scintillation detector prototype with SiPM readout using different types of the front-end electronics. The timing and position resolutions with LED have been obtained. These results can be applied for the proton and deuteron beams polarimetry at the Internal Target Station at Nuclotron.
