Abstract: New cross sections for the reaction e p-->e p eta are reported for total center of mass energy W = 1.5--1.86 GeV and invariant momentum transfer Q2 = 0.25--1.5 (GeV/c)(2). This large kinematic range allows extraction of important new information about response functions, photocouplings, and eta N coupling strengths of baryon resonances. Newly observed structure at W approximately 1.65 GeV is shown to come from interference between S and P waves and can be interpreted with known resonances. Improved values are derived for the photon coupling amplitude for the S11(1535) resonance.

Abstract: A newly obtained data sample of inclusive electron-nucleon scattering from both hydrogen and deuterium targets is analyzed. These JLab data span the nucleon resonance region up to four-momentum transfers of 5 (GeV/c){sup 2} . The data are found to follow an average scaling curve. The inclusion of low-momentum transfer data yields a scaling curve resembling deep inelastic neutrino-nucleus scattering data, suggesting a sensitivity to valencelike structure only. Abstract: Jefferson Lab experiment E94-014 measured the excitation of the Delta (1232) resonance via the reaction p(e,e{prime}p){pi}{sup 0} at Q{sup 2} near 2.8 and 4 Gev{sup 2}. This is the highest Q{sup 2} for which exclusive resonance electroproduction has ever been observed. Decay distributions of the Delta (1232) resonance into the ppi{sup 0} final state were measured over a wide range of barycentric decay angles and energies. The goal of this experiment is to assess the transition in Q{sup 2} from the constituent quark model (CQM) to the regime where hard processes become important. At Q{sup 2} {approx} few GeV{sup 2}/c{sup 2} the ratio E{sub 1+}/M{sub 1+} depends dramatically on the theoretical description, varying from a few 10{sup -2} in the CQM limit, to about 1 in the pQCD limit. Preliminary analysis of the data shows that the ratio E{sub 1+}/M{sub 1+} remains small at Q{sup 2} up to 4 Gev{sup 2}/c{sup 2}. After first pass analysis we obtain E{sub 1+}/M{sub 1+} = -4.1 {+-} 1.2 at Q{sup 2} = 2.8 Gev{sup 2}/c{sup 2} and E{sub 1+}/M{sub 1+} = -7.9 {+-} 0.8 at Q{sup 2} = 4 Gev{sup 2}/c{sup 2} (statistical errors only).

Abstract: The first measurements of the differential cross section for the d(gamma,p)n reaction up to 4.0 GeV were performed at Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) at Jefferson Lab. We report the cross sections at the proton center-of-mass angles of 36, 52, 69 and 89 degrees. These results are in reasonable agreement with previous measurements at lower energy. The 89 and 69 degree data show constituent-counting-rule behavior up to 4.0 GeV photon energy. The 36 and 52 degree data disagree with the counting rule behavior. The quantum chromodynamics (QCD) model of nuclear reactions involving reduced amplitudes disagrees with the present data., Comment: 5 pages (REVTeX), 1 figure (postscript)

Abstract: The (e,e'p) reaction was studies on targets of C, Fe, and Au at momentum transfers squared Q{sup 2} of 0.6, 1.3, 1.8 and 3.3 GeV{sup 2} in a region of kinematics dominated by quasifree electron-proton scattering. Missing energy and missing momentum distributions are reasonably well described by plane wave impulse approximation calculations with Q{sup 2} and A dependent corrections that measure the attenuation of the final state protons.

Abstract: Exclusive $$\pi^0$$ electroproduction at a beam energy of 5.75 GeV has been measured with the Jefferson Lab CLAS spectrometer. Differential cross sections were measured at more than 1800 kinematic values in $Q^2$, $x_B$, $t$, and $$\phi_\pi$$, in the $Q^2$ range from 1.0 to 4.6 GeV$^2$$,\ $$-t$ up to 2 GeV$^2$, and $x_B$ from 0.1 to 0.58. Structure functions $$\sigma_T +\epsilon \sigma_L, \sigma_{TT}$$ and $$\sigma_{LT}$$ were extracted as functions of $t$ for each of 17 combinations of $Q^2$ and $x_B$. The data were compared directly with two handbag-based calculations including both longitudinal and transversity GPDs. Inclusion of only longitudinal GPDs very strongly underestimates $$\sigma_T +\epsilon \sigma_L$$ and fails to account for $$\sigma_{TT}$$ and $$\sigma_{LT}$$, while inclusion of transversity GPDs brings the calculations into substantially better agreement with the data. There is very strong sensitivity to the relative contributions of nucleon helicity flip and helicity non-flip processes. The results confirm that exclusive $$\pi^0$$ electroproduction offers direct experimental access to the transversity GPDs.

Abstract: The first measurement of exclusive photodisintegration of He-3 with polarized photons is reported. Cross sections and asymmetries for He-3(gamma over arrow pointing right, pn)p and He-3(gamma over arrow pointing right, pp)n at 235 less-than-or-equal-to E(gamma) less-than-or-equal-to 305 MeV are compared to a theoretical calculation which includes one-, two-, and three-nucleon photon absorption. Two-nucleon absorption dominates the pn data, but is suppressed in the pp data. The pp data require the inclusion of three-nucleon absorption to describe the cross section and beam asymmetry over all momenta.

Abstract: The first measurement of the reaction [sup 3]He([rvec [gamma]],[ital p])[ital X] using linearly polarized photons is reported. Cross sections and beam-polarization asymmetries for [theta][sub [ital p]][sup lab]=60[degree]--100[degree] and [ital E][sub [gamma]]=195--304 MeV are compared with a microscopic calculation which includes one-, two-, and three-nucleon absorption mechanisms. One- and two-nucleon absorption alone fails to describe the data at low proton momenta. The inclusion of three-nucleon absorption significantly improves the comparison with the measured cross sections. However, some features of the asymmetry distributions are not explained.

Abstract: We have measured the $^{3}\mathrm{He}(e,{e}^{\ensuremath{'}}pp)n$ reaction at an incident energy of 4.7 GeV over a wide kinematic range. We identified spectator correlated $pp$ and $pn$ nucleon pairs by using kinematic cuts and measured their relative and total momentum distributions. This is the first measurement of the ratio of $pp$ to $pn$ pairs as a function of pair total momentum ${p}_{\mathrm{tot}}$. For pair relative momenta between 0.3 and $0.5\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/c$, the ratio is very small at low ${p}_{\mathrm{tot}}$ and rises to approximately 0.5 at large ${p}_{\mathrm{tot}}$. This shows the dominance of tensor over central correlations at this relative momentum.

Abstract: The neutron elastic magnetic form factor was extracted from quasielastic electron scattering on deuterium over the range Q;{2}=1.0-4.8 GeV2 with the CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab. High precision was achieved with a ratio technique and a simultaneous in situ calibration of the neutron detection efficiency. Neutrons were detected with electromagnetic calorimeters and time-of-flight scintillators at two beam energies. The dipole parametrization gives a good description of the data.

Abstract: A search for exotic mesons in the $$\pi^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$$ system photoproduced by the charge exchange reaction $$\gamma p\to \pi^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}(n)$$ was carried out by the CLAS collaboration at Jefferson Lab. A tagged-photon beam with energies in the 4.8 to 5.4 GeV range, produced through bremsstrahlung from a 5.744 GeV electron beam, was incident on a liquid-hydrogen target. A Partial Wave Analysis (PWA) was performed on a sample of 83,000 events, the highest such statistics to date in this reaction at these energies. The main objective of this study was to look for the photoproduction of an exotic $$J^{PC} = 1^{-+}$$ resonant state in the 1 to 2 GeV mass range. Our PWA analysis, based on the isobar model, shows production of the $$a_{2}(1320)$$ and the $$\pi_{2}(1670)$$ mesons, but no evidence for the $$a_{1}(1260)$$, nor the $$\pi_{1}(1600)$$ exotic state at the expected levels. An upper limit of 13.5 nb is determined for the exotic $$\pi_1(1600)$$ cross section, less than 2% of the $a_2(1320)

Abstract: We report on the results of the first measurement of exclusive f{sub 0}(980) meson photoproduction on protons for E{sub {gamma}}=3.0-3.8 GeV and -t=0.4-1.0 GeV{sup 2}. Data were collected with the CLAS detector at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. The resonance was detected via its decay in the {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -} channel by performing a partial wave analysis of the reaction {gamma}p{yields}p{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}. Clear evidence of the f{sub 0}(980) meson was found in the interference between P and S waves at M{sub {pi}{sup +}}{sub {pi}{sup -}}{approx}1 GeV. The S-wave differential cross section integrated in the mass range of the f{sub 0}(980) was found to be a factor of about 50 smaller than the cross section for the {rho} meson. This is the first time the f{sub 0}(980) meson has been measured in a photoproduction experiment.

Abstract: The photoproduction of vector mesons on various nuclei has been studied using the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) at Jefferson Laboratory. The vector mesons, $$\rho$$, $$\omega$$, and $$\phi$$, are observed via their decay to $e^+e^-$, in order to reduce the effects of final state interactions in the nucleus. Of particular interest are possible in-medium effects on the properties of the $$\rho$$ meson. The $$\rho$$ spectral function is extracted from the data on various nuclei, carbon, iron, and titanium, and compared to the spectrum from liquid deuterium, which is relatively free of nuclear effects. We observe no significant mass shift for the $$\rho$$ meson; however, there is some widening of the resonance in titanium and iron, which is consistent with expected collisional broadening.

Abstract: The reaction 2H(e,e'p)n has been studied with full kinematic coverage for photon virtuality 1.75Q25.5 GeV2. Comparisons of experimental data with theory indicate that for very low values of neutron recoil momentum (p(n)100 MeV/c) the neutron is primarily a spectator and the reaction can be described by the plane-wave impulse approximation. For 100p(n)750 MeV/c, proton-neutron rescattering dominates the cross section, while Delta production followed by the NDelta--NN transition is the primary contribution at higher momenta.

Abstract: We report a new measurement of the exclusive electroproduction reaction gamma*_p --> pi0_p to explore the evolution from soft nonperturbative physics to hard processes via the Q2 dependence of the magnetic (M1+), electric (E1+), and scalar (S1+) multipoles in the N --> Delta transition. 9000 differential cross section data points cover W from threshold to 1.4 GeV/c2, 4pi center-of-mass solid angle, and Q2 from 3 to 6 GeV2/c2, the highest yet achieved. It is found that the magnetic form factor G^*M decreases with Q2 more steeply than the proton magnetic form factor, the ratio E1+/M1+ is small and negative, indicating strong helicity nonconservation, and the ratio S1+/M1+ is negative, while its magnitude increases with Q2.

Abstract: The reaction {gamma}p{yields}pK{sup +}K{sup -} was studied at Jefferson Lab with photon energies from 1.8 to 3.8 GeV using a tagged photon beam. The goal was to search for a {theta}{sup ++} pentaquark, a narrow, doubly charged baryon state having strangeness S=+1 and isospin I=1, in the pK{sup +} invariant mass spectrum. No statistically significant evidence of a {theta}{sup ++} was found. Upper limits on the total and differential cross section for the reaction {gamma}p{yields}K{sup -}{theta}{sup ++} were obtained in the mass range from 1.5 to 2.0 GeV/c{sup 2}, with an upper limit for a narrow resonance with a mass M{sub {theta}{sup ++}}=1.54 GeV/c{sup 2} of about 0.15 nb, 95% C.L.. This result places a stringent upper limit on the {theta}{sup ++} width {gamma}{sub {theta}{sup ++}}

Abstract: For the first time, the reaction gamma d -> Lambda n K+ has been analyzed in order to search for the exotic pentaquark baryon Theta+(1540). The data were taken at Jefferson Lab, using the Hall-B tagged-photon beam of energy between 0.8 and 3.6 GeV and the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS). No statistically significant structures were observed in the nK+ invariant mass distribution. The upper limit on the gamma d -> Lambda Theta+ integrated cross section has been calculated and found to be between 5 and 25 nb, depending on the production model assumed. The upper limit on the differential cross section is also reported.

Abstract: A search for the Theta+ in the reaction gammad --> pK-K+n was completed using the CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab. A study of the same reaction, published earlier, reported the observation of a narrow Theta+ resonance. The present experiment, with more than 30 times the integrated luminosity of our earlier measurement, does not show any evidence for a narrow pentaquark resonance. The angle-integrated upper limit on Theta+ production in the mass range of 1.52-1.56 GeV/c2 for the gammad --> pK-Theta+ reaction is 0.3 nb (95% C.L.). This upper limit depends on assumptions made for the mass and angular distribution of Theta+ production. Using Lambda(1520) production as an empirical measure of rescattering in the deuteron, the cross section upper limit for the elementary gamman --> K-Theta+ reaction is estimated to be a factor of 10 higher, i.e., approximately 3 nb (95% C.L.).

Abstract: For the first time, the reaction gammad--DeltanK+ has been analyzed in order to search for the exotic pentaquark baryon Theta+(1540). The data were taken at Jefferson Laboratory, using the Hall-B tagged-photon beam of energy between 0.8 and 3.6 GeV and the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS). No statistically significant structures were observed in the nK+ invariant-mass distribution. The upper limit on the gammad--DeltaTheta+ integrated cross section has been calculated and found to be between 5 and 25 nb, depending on the production model assumed. The upper limit on the differential cross section is also reported.

Abstract: A search for the Theta+ in the reaction gammad --pK-K+n was completed using the CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab. A study of the same reaction, published earlier, reported the observation of a narrow Theta+ resonance. The present experiment, with more than 30 times the integrated luminosity of our earlier measurement, does not show any evidence for a narrow pentaquark resonance. The angle-integrated upper limit on Theta+ production in the mass range of 1.52-1.56 GeV/c2 for the gammad --pK-Theta+ reaction is 0.3 nb (95% C.L.). This upper limit depends on assumptions made for the mass and angular distribution of Theta+ production. Using Lambda(1520) production as an empirical measure of rescattering in the deuteron, the cross section upper limit for the elementary gamman --K-Theta+ reaction is estimated to be a factor of 10 higher, i.e., approximately 3 nb (95% C.L.).

Abstract: The ratios of inclusive electron scattering cross sections of {sup 4}He, {sup 12}C, and {sup 56}Fe to {sup 3}He have been measured at 1 1.4 GeV{sup 2}, the ratios exhibit two separate plateaus, at 1.5 2.25. This pattern is predicted by models that include 2- and 3-nucleon short-range correlations (SRC). Relative to A=3, the per-nucleon probabilities of 3-nucleon SRC are 2.3, 3.1, and 4.4 times larger for A=4, 12, and 56. This is the first measurement of 3-nucleon SRC probabilities in nuclei.

The decay to nK+requires the assignment of strangeness S=+1 to any observed resonance. Data were collected with the CLAS detector at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 70 pb-1. No evidence for the Theta+ pentaquark was found. Upper limits were set on the production cross section as function of center-of-mass angle and nK+ mass. The 95% C.L. upper limit on the total cross section for a narrow resonance at 1540 MeV was found to be 0.8 nb.

Abstract: The reaction {sup 3}He({ital e},{ital e}{prime}{ital d}){ital p} was measured at four-momentum transfer {ital q}=420 MeV, for proton recoil momentum {ital P}{sub {ital r}}=22, 54, and 62 MeV/{ital c}, in parallel deuteron kinematics. Longitudinal ({ital L}) and transverse ({ital T}) response functions were obtained by means of Rosenbluth separations. The separated response functions are, respectively, found to be dominated by the contributions of isoscalar and isovector two-body currents. The {ital L}/{ital T} ratios are about 3.5. This is an order of magnitude lower than that for elastic scattering on a free deuteron, or what would be expected for a purely isoscalar transition, but approximately agrees with what is theoretically expected for isoscalar plus isovector contributions. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}

Abstract: Two-proton correlations at small relative momentum q were studied in the e A ( 3 H e , 4 H e , C , F e ) → e ′ p p X reaction at E 0 = 4.46 G e V using the CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab. The enhancement of the correlation function at small q was found to be in accordance with theoretical expectations. Sizes of the emission region were extracted, and proved to be dependent on A and on the proton momentum. The size of the two-proton emission region for He was measured in e A reactions for the first time.

Abstract: We investigate the transition from the nucleon-meson to quark-gluon description of the strong interaction using the photon energy dependence of the $d(\gamma,p)n$ differential cross section for photon energies above 0.5 GeV and center-of-mass proton angles between $30^{\circ}$ and $150^{\circ}$. A possible signature for this transition is the onset of cross section $s^{-11}$ scaling with the total energy squared, $s$, at some proton transverse momentum, $P_T$. The results show that the scaling has been reached for proton transverse momentum above about 1.1 GeV/c. This may indicate that the quark-gluon regime is reached above this momentum., Comment: Accepted by PRL; 5 pages, 2 figures

Abstract: We have measured the 3He(e,e'pp)n reaction at 2.2 GeV over a wide kinematic range. The kinetic energy distribution for ''fast'' nucleons (p > 250 MeV/c) peaks where two nucleons each have 20% or less, and the third nucleon has most of the transferred energy. These fast pp and pn pairs are back-to-back with little momentum along the three-momentum transfer, indicating that they are spectators. Experimental and theoretical evidence indicates that we have measured distorted two-nucleon momentum distributions by striking the third nucleon and detecting the spectator correlated pair.

Abstract: Double-polarization asymmetries for inclusive $ep$ scattering were measured at Jefferson Lab using 2.6 and 4.3 GeV longitudinally polarized electrons incident on a longitudinally polarized NH$_3$ target in the CLAS detector. The polarized structure function $g_1(x,Q^2)$ was extracted throughout the nucleon resonance region and into the deep inelastic regime, for $Q^2 = 0.15 -1.64 $GeV$^2$. The contributions to the first moment $\Gamma_1(Q^2) = \int g_1(x,Q^2)dx$ were determined up to $Q^2=1.2$ GeV$^2$. Using a parametrization for $g_1$ in the unmeasured low $x$ regions, the complete first moment was estimated over this $Q^2$ region. A rapid change in $\Gamma_1$ is observed for $Q^2 < 1 $GeV$^2$, with a sign change near $Q^2 = 0.3 $GeV$^2$, indicating dominant contributions from the resonance region. At $Q^2=1.2$ GeV$^2$ our data are below the pQCD evolved scaling value.

Abstract: The cross section for the reaction ep→e'ppi(+)pi(-) was measured in the resonance region for 1.4 lt W lt 2.1 GeV and 0.5 lt Q(2) lt 1.5 GeV2/c(2) using the CLAS detector at Jefferson Laboratory. The data show resonant structures not visible in previous experiments. The comparison of our data to a phenomenological prediction using available information on N* and Delta states shows an evident discrepancy. A better description of the data is obtained either by a sizable change of the properties of the P-13(1720) resonance or by introducing a new baryon state, not reported in published analyses.

Abstract: The first measurements of the transferred polarization for the exclusive (e) over right arrow p --> e'K+(U) over right arrow reaction have been performed at Jefferson Laboratory using the CLAS spectrometer. A 2.567 GeV beam was used to measure the hyperon polarization over Q(2) from 0.3 to 1.5 (GeV/c)(2), W from 1.6 to 2.15 GeV, and over the full K+ center-of-mass angular range. Comparison with predictions of hadrodynamic models indicates strong sensitivity to the underlying resonance contributions. A nonrelativistic quark-model interpretation of our data suggests that the s (s) over bar quark pair is produced with spins predominantly antialigned. Implications for the validity of the most widely used quark-pair creation operator are discussed.

Abstract: The cross section for the reaction ep--e(')ppi(+)pi(-) was measured in the resonance region for 1.4W2.1 GeV and 0.5Q21.5 GeV(2)/c(2) using the CLAS detector at Jefferson Laboratory. The data show resonant structures not visible in previous experiments. The comparison of our data to a phenomenological prediction using available information on N(*) and Delta states shows an evident discrepancy. A better description of the data is obtained either by a sizable change of the properties of the P13(1720) resonance or by introducing a new baryon state, not reported in published analyses.

Abstract: Differential cross sections for gammap-->etap have been measured with tagged real photons for incident photon energies from 0.75 to 1.95 GeV. Mesons were identified by missing mass reconstruction using kinematical information for protons scattered in the production process. The data provide the first extensive angular distribution measurements for the process above W=1.75 GeV. Comparison with preliminary results from a constituent quark model support the suggestion that a third S11 resonance with mass approximately 1.8 GeV couples to the etaN channel.

Abstract: Models of baryon structure predict a small quadrupole deformation of the nucleon due to residual tensor forces between quarks or distortions from the pion cloud. Sensitivity to quark versus pion degrees of freedom occurs through the Q2 dependence of the magnetic (M1+), electric (E1+), and scalar (S1+) multipoles in the gamma*p-->Delta(+)-->p pi(0) transition. We report new experimental values for the ratios E(1+)/M(1+) and S(1+)/M(1+) over the range Q2 = 0.4-1.8 GeV2, extracted from precision p(e,e(')p)pi(0) data using a truncated multipole expansion. Results are best described by recent unitary models in which the pion cloud plays a dominant role.

Abstract: The double spin asymmetry in the (-->)e(-->)p --> e(prime)pi(+)n reaction has been measured for the first time in the resonance region for four-momentum transfer Q2 = 0.35-1.5 GeV(2). Data were taken at Jefferson Lab with the CLAS detector using a 2.6 GeV polarized electron beam incident on a polarized solid NH3 target. Comparison with predictions of phenomenological models shows strong sensitivity to resonance contributions. Helicity-1/2 transitions are found to be dominant in the second and third resonance regions. The measured asymmetry is consistent with a faster rise with Q(2) of the helicity asymmetry A1 for the F(15)(1680) resonance than expected from the analysis of the unpolarized data.

Abstract: The differential cross section, d sigma/dt, for rho(0) meson photoproduction on the proton above the resonance region was measured up to a momentum transfer -t = 5 GeV2 using the CLAS detector at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. The rho(0) channel was extracted from the measured two charged-pion cross sections by fitting the pi(+)pi(-) and p pi(+) invariant masses. The low momentum transfer region shows the typical diffractive pattern expected from Reggeon exchange. The flatter behavior at large -t cannot be explained solely in terms of QCD-inspired two-gluon exchange models. The data indicate that other processes, like quark interchange, are important to fully describe rho photoproduction.

Abstract: Differential cross sections for $^{14}\mathrm{N}(\ensuremath{\gamma}, {\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+})^{14}\mathrm{C}(\mathrm{g}.\mathrm{s}.)$ (${0}^{+}$1) have been measured for an incident photon energy ${E}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}=200$ MeV at laboratory angles of 45\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 60\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 75\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 90\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, 120\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}, and 140\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. Momentum-space distorted-wave-impulse-approximation calculations, using a complete treatment of a one-body pion-photoproduction operator, are found to be in excellent agreement with the experimental data. The effect of the momentum-dependent terms in the nuclear photoproduction operator is observed. The reaction is found to be sensitive to input nuclear structure elements not observable in the ($e, {e}^{\ensuremath{'}}$) form-factor data.

Abstract: Cross sections were determined in the {Delta}(1232) excitation region for the reactions {sup 3}H({gamma},{ital p}){ital pn} and {sup 2}H({gamma},{ital p}){ital n} at several photon energies and proton emission angles. Inclusive proton spectra were measured with a magnetic spectrometer, using quasimonochromatic {ital e}{sup +}-annihilation photons. The {sup 3}He data can be mainly accounted for by predictions assuming photon absorption by a pair of nucleons, except in the high-momentum part of the proton spectra. They clearly indicate the need for additional contributions, such as three-body absorption mechanisms.

Abstract: High precision measurements of the polarized electron beam-spin asymmetry in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) from the proton have been performed using a 10.6 GeV incident electron beam and the CLAS12 spectrometer at Jefferson Lab. We report here a high precision multidimensional study of single π^{+} SIDIS data over a large kinematic range in Bjorken x, fractional energy, and transverse momentum of the hadron as well as photon virtualities Q^{2} ranging from 1-7 GeV^{2}. In particular, the structure function ratio F_{LU}^{sinϕ}/F_{UU} has been determined, where F_{LU}^{sinϕ} is a twist-3 quantity that can reveal novel aspects of emergent hadron mass and quark-gluon correlations within the nucleon. The data's impact on the evolving understanding of the underlying reaction mechanisms and their kinematic variation is explored using theoretical models for the different contributing transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions.
