Abstract

Continuum cross sections and spin polarizations of ^B produced in the reaction ^Au(^F, ^B) induced by 186-MeV ^F were measured. The observed data were reproduced very well in terms of a distorted-wave Born-approximation theory, indicating that this reaction transferring as many as seven nucleons proceeds as a direct process.

2. Reaction ^<12>C（^<16>O,α）^<24>Mg Leading to Nuclear Molecular Resonances

Abstract

The reactions ^C(^O,α)^Mg and ^C(^O,α)^Mg were investigated at an incident energy of 145 MeV. In the reaction with the ^C target, broad peaks are observed at forward angles which correspond to the molecular resonance states of the ^C + ^C system, while the spectra with ^C target show only a smooth continuum.
