The article discusses on the topics concerning the family policy in Hungary. It has been noted that the country's family policy centers on providing options in taking care of children. It examines how the policy can shift towards reconciling work and family life. Furthermore, reasons for under provision in childcare are discussed and provides recommendations for central-government intervention for supply improvements. In addition, suggestions for changes are also made concerning family cash benefits and leave allowances.
