Abstract

The article presents a study that aimed to identify factors that influenced postpartum oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) rates. The study found that prepartum counselling and a diagnosis of polycystic ovarian syndrome were the strongest predictors of adherence to postpartum diabetes screening. It also revealed the importance of considering health care delivery when developing strategies to increase the screening rates of OGTT.
