- Abstract
Physical activity is associated with a reduced risk of developing specific types of cancer and cancer overall, depending upon the activity level and lifestyle of the individual. Physical activity has also served as an effective tool in rehabilitating patients with breast cancer. This article outlines the mechanisms that influence this reduction in risk and highlights the implications for nursing practice.
