The article reflects on the experiences of nurses during the terrorist bombings in London, England on July 7, 2005. According to A&E Royal London Hospital lead nurse Elaine Cole, the department works efficiently when there is a major incident. Nurses are trained in disaster planning. There was difficulty for the staff to call family and friends after the attacks. Strong relationships were also formed between the nurses and their patients.
