Abstract
The article reports that a tracking system used to assess customer care in Marks & Spencer Group LLC stores has been brought into hospitals to gather patient feedback. This electronic system has helped to improve the patient experience and led to one nursing team being nominated for a national award for e-health excellence. It was first used at Homerton University Hospital National Health Service Foundation Trust in London, England.
The article reports on the efforts of the members of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) public policy committee to lobby against the Member of the European Parliament's (MEP's) to clarify the healthcare funding by the European Union (EU) for Great Britain. According to RCN European officer Jenny-Lee Spencer, they wanted to clear up the conditions which a patient can travel to another EU country for immediate treatment and for the cost of the treatment to be paid by the National Health Service.
