- Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of quality control circle (QCC) activities in improving the accuracy of pain asseesment in patients wth rheumatoid aathritis. Methods A QCC group was established to make the plan of QCC activities. The potential issues influencing the pain aseesment of patients with rheumatoid arthritis were investigated, and improvement measures were formulated by brainstorming methods. Relevant indicators before and after the implementation of QCC activities were observed and compared. Results The correct rate of pain aseesment by clinical nurses increased from 67. 00% before the QCC activities to 92. 23% after the QCC activities, with a significant diference (P <0.05). The target achievement rate and progrees rate was 133. 49% and 37.66%, respectively. Conclusion Applying QCC activities can effectively improve the accuracy of nurses -pain aseesment and the quality of pan control. It is an useful management tool to improve the overall quality of the circle members and their ability to solve problems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
