An art experience within the classroom is an effective and engaging tool for understanding the creative processes and poetics of artists, especially contemporary ones. Although the specialization of knowledge prevents an artist today - as happened instead in the Renaissance - from being a significant man of science at the same time, the relationship between contemporary art and the domains of science and technology is more solid and profitable than it might appear at first gaze. Certainly, however, in the contemporary world this relationship has been defined in much more nuanced and ambivalent terms than in the past, with a continuous alternation of even idolatrous enthusiasms on the one hand, and absolute refusals on the other.
