Abstract

Helictotrichon uniyalii corresponds to the genus Tzveleviochloa based on the lemma apex, lodicules, and ovary morphological features. Therefore, here, a new combination, Tzveleviochloa uniyalii, is proposed. In addition, we have provided amended descriptions, taxonomic notes, habitat, and distributional range updates with a new record of the flora of Himachal Pradesh, illustration, and color photographs. Abstract

Bromus kashmirensis, a new species of Bromus (Poaceae) from western Himalaya in Baramulla district of Kashmir Himalaya, India, is described and illustrated here. The new species is similar to B. ramosus and B. benekenii but differs in morphological characters of leaf sheath, ligule, lemma and anthers.
