In the present world. neural networks have revolutionized technology and day-to-day life and helped us go to the next level of artificial intelligence. It is crucial to discretize the continuous dynamical neural network model while maintaining its qualitative characteristics in order to broaden the applications of this model further. The various continuous dynamical systems with one or two layers of neural networks are taken into account in this paper. and they are discretized using a novel non-finite difference approach. The investigation of continuous models and the subsequent derivation of discrete models lead to the establishment of findings on the stability of equilibrium at both local and global scales. The outcomes of the discrete models are frequently compared with those of their continuous equivalents. The non-standard finite difference technique that has been developed has been found to maintain the equilibrium and stability properties of the corresponding continuous systems. Ageing of civil engineering infrastructures such as dams, bridges, tunnels and buildings causes many problems with great consequences, both from practical and economical points of view. The main aim of this paper, together with 11], is to describe the state of the art of known methods and how to tackle this important problem. In particular we make a brief description and comparison between the methods. The major challenge for damage detection is the large amount of noise, and presence of harmonic components that leads to erroneous modal identification. New developments in signal processing techniques along with the use of artificial intelligence can play a crucial role in finding solutions for such problems. In designing the adaptive controllers, the Lyapunov theory can be used as a powerful tool that can prevent the system from facing unstable situations. By satisfying its condition, the desired controller can be obtained. Compare to other chaotic control methods, The controller based on the above mentioned method is particularly simple and practical, with no need for a precise system model. Having the system dimension is solely enough for this controller. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the capability of this control method by applying it in some chaotic systems and demonstrating its rapid success rate in stabilizing the fixed unstable point of these systems and also comparing it with the state feedback controller. Ageing of infrastructure causes many problems with great consequences, essentially economical. Operation modal analysis (OMA) is one of the most crucial techniques used for dynamic analysis of civil engineering structures (e.g. bridges, dams or tunnels). OMA uses various time and frequency domain methods to obtain the modal parameters. The analysis of OMA techniques can be used to detect, locate and quantify the damage in a structure. The major challenge for damage detection using OMA is the analysis of large amount of noisy data collected from sensors. New signal processing techniques and artificial intelligence can play an important role for future research in the area. In this article we present and discuss recent developments in OMA techniques and also give a concrete example on a steel truss bridge, where the most popular OMA techniques have been implemented and applied.
