She is survived by her son Kenneth, daughter-in-law Mary Clare, grandson Joseph, and grand daughter Eileen all of whom were dearly loved by her and devoted to her. She was the loving and beloved aunt of Robert Schoen and Ronni (Schoen) Fitzgerald, the son and daughter of her dear late sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Murray Schoen. A long time member of Fenway Country Club in White Plains, New York, and the Palm Beach Country Club in Palm Beach, Florida, Joan was an active and eager supporter of the arts, being with her husband a founder of the Kravitz Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. A committed philanthropist all her life she and her husband were founders of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Joan strongly supported the United Jewish Appeal, the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, the Holocaust Museum, and many other charities. She was a member of Temple Emanuel in Harrison, New York, and Temple Israel in West Palm Beach, Florida.
