Smart cities can effectively improve urban life quality. But, with the rise in population size, there is an increase in the use of vehicles for transportation. In smart city development, traffic control and route planning are the primary tasks to address the problem of travel time estimation. It has become complex due to concerns of wrapped spatio-temporal data on dynamic real-time traffic conditions. The existing methods failed to estimate travel time efficiently due to not considering the spatio-temporal features and lack of computing resources. There is a need for a system like intelligent transportation system to monitor and accurately predict traffic flow to avoid traffic congestion and reduce the impact on the ecological system. This paper developed a novel hybrid deep learning model to estimate optimized travel time and possible trajectories. In this work, U-Net used to reduce the number of feature points for each temporal data and GNN is used to build the graph with connectivity between vehicular nodes. This hybrid model helps us predict traffic flow and aims to estimate accurate travel time from one location (node) to another. The model's performance is evaluated on the standard benchmark datasets Q-Traffic, TaxiBJ, and Chengdu. The experimental results show that the proposed framework significantly improves performance in extracting travel patterns and provides an optimal route with an estimated travel time than existing methods with RMSE 4%, MAE 20.49%, and MAPE 18%. Traffic flow forecasting (TFF) is critical for constructing intelligent transportation systems and offering real-time traffic applications, and especially accurate flow forecasting based on traffic big data can drive reliable strategies for traffic management and control. To consider the weight of the influence of the spatial correlation among the road segments and capture the nonlinear characteristics of traffic flow, this paper presents a parallel Normal Distribution and Attention Mechanism Weighted Deep Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (NAW-DBLSTM) algorithm on Spark. Specifically, we employ the resilient distributed data set (RDD) to preprocess large-scale mobile trajectory data (e.g., taxi GPS trajectory data), and then Kalman Filter (KF) is utilized to smooth the taxi trajectory big data. Next, the parallel NAW-DBLSTM algorithm is put forward on a Spark distributed computing platform to enhance the accuracy and scalability of TFF, combined with the attention mechanism and the normal distribution, and then the time window is used for TFF. Finally, the traffic flow is forecasted successfully on Spark by our NAW-DBLSTM algorithm with the real-world GPS trajectories of taxicabs. The experimental results demonstrate that, compared with LSTM, BiLSTM, DBLSTM, DNN, SVR, KNN, SAEs, BP, CNN, GRU, and ANNs, NAW-DBLSTM can produce better performance with the MAPE value that is 85.1%, 80.1%, 85.8%, 73.1%, 78.2%, 77.9%, 78.8%, 84.6%, 96.4%, 86.2%, and 73.2% lower than that of comparable algorithms, respectively. Particularly, the MAPE value of NAW-DBLSTM is 28.3%, 20.1%, 71.1%, and 79.1% lower than that of LSTM weighted with the normal distribution and the attention mechanism (NAW-LSTM), BiLSTM weighted with the normal distribution and the attention mechanism (NAW-BiLSTM), DBLSTM weighted with the normal distribution (NW-DBLSTM), and NAW-DBLSTM weighted without the time window (NT-NAW-DBLSTM), respectively. The provision of long-distance travel time information has been a major factor facilitating the intelligent transportation system to become more successful. Previous studies have pointed out that non-recurrent congestion is the major cause of freeway delay. The long travel distance complicates the characteristics of traffic flow. Hence, how to improve the prediction capability of long-distance travel time in the case of non-recurrent congestion is an important issue that must be overcome in the field of travel time prediction. This study constructs the travel time prediction model for a segment of 36.1 kms (including eight interchanges) in the National Freeway No. 1, Taiwan, by using the multilayer perceptron. To improve the prediction capability of the model in the case of non-recurrent congestion, this study collects data of average spot speed and heavy vehicle volume gathered by dual-loop vehicle detectors, in addition to rainfall and temporal feature. Furthermore, the historical travel time inferred from the original data of electronic toll collection (ETC) system is also used as the input variable, and the actual travel time inferred from ETC is used as the training target to establish a robust prediction model. As suggested by the results of 168 experimental combinations, the most appropriate prediction model established in this study is a highly accurate forecasting model with MAPE of 6.47 %. Advanced traveller information system is an important intelligent transportation systems application area, which provides information to transport users and managers in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the transportation system, in the face of increasing congestion in urban cities around the world. So far very limited research attention has been focused on long-term travel time prediction (i.e. predicting greater than 60 min ahead). Long-term travel time forecasts can play a critical role in journey planning decisions for both private road users and logistics operators. In this paper, we have considered a fuzzy neural network incorporated with both imprecise and numerical information and developed a hybrid long-term travel time prediction model, which shows the better prediction capability than naive methods and highlights the importance of different data variables. The model combines the learning ability of neural networks and the knowledge extraction ability of fuzzy inference systems. The model was validated by using travel time data compiled from electronic toll tags on a 14 km length section of the CityLink tollway in Melbourne, Australia. The validation results highlight the ability of the fuzzy neural network model to accommodate imprecise and linguistic input information, while providing reliable predictions of travel times up to a few days ahead. In recent years, the development of emerging technologies has brought about a new era of industrial reform. The current industrial revolution will deeply integrate the new generation of information technology with modern manufacturing industry and production servicing businesses to promote transformation and upgrading. As it is the foundation of the manufacturing industry, intelligent equipment plays an important role in the reform. In this paper, we propose an innovative design method to help design intelligent equipment. Firstly, referring to the architecture of the Cognitive Internet of Things (CIoT) and industrial big data, we proposed the architecture of the method and defined the different layers to process the data. Then, for the acquired external data, we put forward an algorithm which was combined with the technology of CIoT and industrial big data, to help designers analyze and make decisions. Finally, we verified the validity and feasibility of this method through a case study. The results showed that this method could effectively mine the deep information of intelligent equipment and provide more valuable information about design-assisting designers in designing better intelligent equipment. Traffic identification is currently an important challenge for network management and security. In this paper, we propose a novel application identification method named as MPNN to improve the efficiency and flexibility of application identification. MPNN is based on a structure of multiple neural networks, and it uses an individual neural network module to handle a single application; therefore, it can effectively utilize the characteristics of every application; meanwhile, the minimum Bayes method is used in every neural network module. The MPNN method has the following advantages: it can handle more complex network behavior and extend the identified object from complete TCP flows to all TCP+UDP flows. It can improve the identification accuracy of every application, especially for those applications which containing much less traffic than others. The process of changing identified applications become much easier. Due to adopting parallel processing, it has much lower time and space complexity.
