In the article, the authors present five cases of anaemia in live-donor kidney transplant recipients to discuss aplastic anemia linked to parvovirus B19 (PV-B19) in living donor kidney transplantation. Other topics include the factors related to kidney transplantation like post-transplantation prophylaxis and immunosuppressive drugs, and the influence of immunosuppressive therapies on the immune response to PV-B19 infection.

The article describes the case of a 67-year-old man who experienced COVID-19 infection and Aspergillus pneumonia after kidney transplantation. The patient was presented with chronic kidney disease secondary to focal segmental glomerulonephritis. Chest X-ray revealed bilateral infiltrates. Treatment included dexamethasone, remdesivir, and intravenous isavuconazole. The patient's clinical course deteriorated with massive cerebral haemorrhage and died after 13 days of hospitalization.
