The article criticizes the cost to businesses of filling up government forms for various agencies in compliance with various regulations in the U.S. First, among these works is complying with tax filing which alone costs billions. Then, there is the voluminous papers needed to be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. As if not enough, businesses have to do the same thing in compliance with regulations of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and various agencies under the U.S. Department of Labor.
