Abstract

The article present a report related to Hospital Water Contamination Associated with a Pseudo-Outbreak of Mycobacterium porcinum in Wisconsin, U.S. during 2016–2018. Topics discussed include infections of the respiratory tract, bloodstream, surgical sites and soft tissue; the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) investigated possible infection control breaches and laboratory workflow processes; and finding of presence of nontuberculous mycobacteria in water.
