Background This study aims to assess current evidence of ultrasound in diagnosis of hydatidiform mole (HM) in early pregnancy (EP). Methods This study will incorporate case-control study on investigating the impact of ultrasound in diagnosis of HM in EP. Potential articles will be retrieved in electronic databases of Cochrane Library, MEDLINE/PUBMED, EMBASE, PsycINFO, WANGFANG, and CNKI from inception to the present. Conference proceeding, website of clinical trial registry, and reference list of key articles will be examined for additional studies. Two independent researchers will scan and select studies, collect and manage data, and appraise methodological quality of all eligible studies. We will carry out summary effect size, statistical heterogeneity, synthesize, and analyze outcome data. Results This study will summarize present evidence to assess the accuracy of ultrasound in diagnosis of HM in EP. Conclusion This study may provide evidence for ultrasound in diagnosis of HM in EP, which may benefit both patients and clinicians. Study registration INPLASY202080080.

Infection is a common cause of death in patients with advanced cirrhosis. We aimed to develop a predictive model in Child–Turcotte–Pugh (CTP) class C cirrhotics hospitalized with infection for optimizing treatment and improving outcomes. Clinical information was retrospectively abstracted from 244 patients at Tianjin Third Central Hospital, China (cohort 1). Factors associated with mortality were determined using logistic regression. The model for predicting 90-day mortality was then constructed by decision tree analysis. The model was further validated in 91 patients at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN (cohort 2) and 82 patients at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Korea (cohort 3). The predictive performance of the model was compared with that of the CTP, model for end-stage liver disease (MELD), MELD-Na, Chronic Liver Failure–Sequential Organ Failure Assessment, and the North American consortium for the Study of End-stage Liver Disease (NACSELD) models. The 3-month mortality was 58%, 58%, and 54% in cohort 1, 2, and 3, respectively. In China, suicide accounts for twenty-six percent of all suicides worldwide; however, researches on the suicidal ideation among older people living alone in the rural region are few. We performed a cross-sectional study to explore the prevalence and influence factors of suicidal ideation, and provide a theoretical basis for suicide prevention among older people living alone in rural region.695 older people living alone in rural region were selected by using stratified cluster sampling. Chi-square for categorical variables, T-test for continuous variables, and path analysis were conducted to statistical analysis.The prevalence of suicidal ideation among the elderly living alone in rural China was 23.6%. Path analyses showed that depression had the most substantial influence on suicidal ideation among the elderly living alone, it was also as a mediator between physical, economic status, social support, anxiety, and suicidal ideation; anxiety and social support had both direct and indirect influence on suicidal ideation; physical status and economic status had indirection impact.The incidence of suicidal ideation among the elderly living alone was high in Dangtu county. Psychological disorders (anxiety and depression) had the strongest impact on suicidal ideation. Strategies and measures targeting these relevant factors (economic status, physical status, and social support) should be taken to reduce the burdens of suicidal ideation among the elderly living alone in China.
