The use of battery storage systems (BSS) is an increasingly common topic in the context of the operation of various types of renewable energy sources (RES). One of the applications may be to solve the problem of energy-free operation of small hydropower plants, where quite specific requirements are placed on the design of the BSS. In the context of optimal BSS design for a given application, this paper discusses the computer analysis capabilities that are essential in the design and performance verification phase of a BSS. The paper presents the possibilities of simulation methods in the field of electrical analysis of cell current load during charging and discharging processes, thermal analysis related to the selection of a suitable cooling system with respect to the operating mode of the battery system.

Based on the simulation theory and method, this paper establishes a status analogue simulation model in peak hours, realizes an effective assessment on the road, finds out bottlenecks to improve the level of road services and puts forward the corresponding road improvement program. This paper simulates the improvement program by the use of VISSIM simulation model, and verifies the improvement effect of four programs and carries out promotion. The research obtains an effective method of solving the problem of jam on the sub-arterial road: It needs to set up by-pass and control over traffic flow of the by-pass, and give full play to the role of by-pass in city.

Most of the scientific and economic observers expect electric vehicles (EVs) to reach more than one-third of new vehicle sales, by 2022 [1]. This growth will be even more pronounced in 2040, when it’s expected that more than 40 million of electric vehicles will be sold each year worldwide, leading to a considerable need for electrical energy (the equivalent of the production of about twenty nuclear power plants). This growth cannot be ensured if we do not radically transform our power supply technologies (new generations of batteries, new engines, new supply strategies, etc.) especially since the principal materials for batteries are projected to disappear in the next thirty years. Fortunately, new technologies for charging EVs are appearing (fast charging stations, inductive charging stations), which could help to reducing the need for larger batteries. However, these technologies require significant investment and heavy urban redevelopment. It is therefore important to find a way to optimize these investments both economically and technologically. In this paper, we will focus on electric vehicles and propose a model to optimize the urban infrastructure planning of energy supply stations. we have developed a new approach of infrastructure optimization based on battery charging platform existing technologies and their location in a city. A decision support tool applied to territorial planning is developed in this study.

The renewables energies are being used to reduce the environmental pollution, combat the climate change and burning of fossil fuels. For remote or decentralized areas, where grid connection is very complex, renewable energy generation system can be a reliable and optimized source of energy. Moreover, wind-diesel-solar hybrid system technology promises lots of opportunities in remote areas which are far from the main grid and are supplied by diesel gensets. This paper is based on the analysis of a hybrid energy system for optimization. The analysis of the hybrid system is realized in the HOMER software package. The HOMER software was utilized as the assessment tool with modeling performed with hourly data of wind speed, solar radiation and load. In this study, the remote village of Tuktoyaktuk situated in Northwest Territories of Canada has been taken for the discussion of the optimization analysis of a hybrid energy generation system.

To understand usage of solar air collector there are factors that have influence on the performance. The goal of this paper is to investigate a solar air collector prototype in order to perform a performance optimization using the possible min imum of equations. The thermal efficiency, fluid outlet temperature, heat increase and heat losses of the collector are calculated depending on the collector geometry, fluid properties, fluid inlet temperature, air flow rate, solar insulation and ambient temperature. The calculations were performed using actual data of temperature, wind speed and the global-horizontal radiation Hh over the year 2011 at the international airport of Annaba city. Comparison of results reveals that optimal efficacy is obtained for south facing panels with an inclination angle ß comprised in the interval [15°, 35°]. These conditions provide a useful energy exceeding 4300 W and an efficiency of about 51 %.

This paper presents results of numerical calculations of T-pipe joints (tee) forming process for a wide scope of industrial applications. FEM analyses were conducted for the chosen process technological parameters and tools designs. The kinematics of metal flow in the area of the formed flanges was analysed. Distributions of stresses, strains and damage criterion during forming were determined. Calculated values of forces and moments acting on tools and workpieces allow for designing of tools geometry for experimental verification of the proposed forming process.

The design of experiment helps in optimization of the parameters in any processes. In this paper, Taguchi optimization technique is used to predict the best results for the given inputs such as roller diameter, friction value, velocity of the rollers and percentage reduction to the forming process and get the optimized values for spread, hardness, effective stress, power required, strain rate and torque using the manufacturing simulation software. It is found that the important parameter is percentage reduction affecting the effective stress. Optimal parameters with desirability value of 0.87 have been obtained.

Stereo matching is one of the significant problems in the study of the computer vision. By getting the distance information through pixels, it is possible to reproduce a three-dimensional stereo. In this paper, the edges are the primitives for matching, the grey values of the edges and the magnitude and direction of the edge gradient were figured out as the properties of the edge feature points, according to the constraints for stereo matching, the energy function was built for finding the route minimizing by election campaign optimization algorithm during the process of stereo matching was applied to this problem the energy function. Experiment results show that this algorithm is more stable and it can get the matching result with better accuracy.

Neural Network Synthesis is an algorithm capable of creating and learning and artificial neural networks as well as optimizing their structures and connections. The method is based on Analytic Programming and asynchronous implementation of Self-Organising Migration Algorithm. Such approach already recorded several successful application considering practical casers of modelling and simulation. This results vindicate efforts for its further development. This paper explores a possibility to make it more effective by adaptive individual handling. This paper takes the BIW model as the research object, completes modal analysis, and verifies the finite element model by comparing the simulation results with the test results. In order to improve the frequency of BIW, the weak structure of D pillar is found and then optimized by the method of strain energy, and the frequency of BIW is changed from 28.80Hz to 32.15Hz. Finally, the method of strain energy has great positive effects on modal optimization.
