The article presents the study on impacts of factors such as sex, external factors like physical and social environment, genetic population that leads to individual aggression in seals. Topics discussed include ontogeny of aggression in infants being crucial for knowing how individual aggressiveness develops; adult male gray seals showed consistent individual differences in aggressive interactions amount; Real-time video footage was decoded after trials using an echogram.

Abstract

The article presents a study which focuses on the tracks of two gray seals (Halichoerus grypus) in sea surface while crossing the English Channel in September. The study uses an iterative process wherein the values of the swimming speed and heading of seals were selected for the formulation of a modeled track closest to the real trajectory of the animal. Result show that gray seals have the ability of maintaining a constant heading at the sea.
