This study presents elements about the conditions of reading, reception, and exegesis of Bakhtinian work in Brazil. For this purpose, it raises some biographical aspects of Bakhtin, Volochinov, and Medvedev, as well as a brief historical overview in respect of the reception of their texts in France, especially in the late '60s with Julia Kristeva. In addition, it analyzes four paratexts of works by some authors from the Bakhtin Circle with which we discussed the conditions of reading by investigating translation and reception matters. At the end, based on Beth Brait's contributions, there is a reading of Bakhtinian work with a focus on the Dialogical Discourse Analysis (DDA). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper studies the nationality regulation on radio and newspapers, trying to understand its effect over the language policy in those communication vehicles. For this purpose, we based the discussion on the Discourse Analysis and the History of Linguistic Ideas in Brazil. The corpus involves the legislation for the mass media published during the Vargas Era (1930-1945). In general, we discuss how the nationality policy resulted in a policy for the languages on radio and the written press, when increased or limited the right to speak for native or naturalized Brazilians and foreigners. Furthermore, the analysis shows that the right to speak regulation was an attempt to control the discourse production causing a foreigner interdiction in those particular vehicles. Based on news of the rape of a 9-year-old child at Bororó village, located in the city of Dourados, State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, this paper discusses how the cultural diversity of indigenous peoples is textualized in MS Record, the local TV news program. Supported by the French Line of Discourse Analysis and the study of social practices, this research analyzes how the television media, when questioning some aspects of the indigenous cultural identity through its supposed uniqueness and legitimacy, strikes out at the human rights and diversity, mostly contesting "privileges" given to indigenous people. Among the power relations inherent to the journalistic discourse and the historicity of the analyzed event, there is a effacement of the crime itself in relation to the (lack of) indianity. Ultimately, there is a dissemination of a prejudiced and discriminatory discourse towards them, particularly about how the courts and Brazilian indigenous protection organizations understand their own native people. Diverse and productive ways of studying the word have been instituted in the field of language sciences. In this paper, the objective is to delineate epistemological and theoretical-methodological considerations regarding the study of the word as an ideological sign, from the writings of today called Bakhtin Circle and, more specifically, M. Bakhtin, V. Volóchinov and P. Medviédev. Therefore, the paper revisits the set of these works and returns to the main considerations developed there, centered on the constitutive relation existing among sign-ideology-word. The study aims to contribute to the understanding of the word as a semiotic-ideological dimension, placing the relevance of this discussion for idiom/language studies in the enunciative-discursive perspective and in the consolidation of the discursive studies, which in Brazil are called Dialogical Discourse Analysis (ADD).
