The study focused on library services and users' satisfaction in academic libraries in Imo State, Nigeria. The study examined the extent of users' satisfaction with library services in academic libraries in Imo State, Nigeria, the relationship between library exhibition/display and user education services. Three research questions were posed and two hypotheses were formulated for the study. Correlational design was adopted for the study while 4-point likert rating scale was used to elicit data. A sample size of 393 students was drawn from the population of 15,310 using Taro Yammane (1967) sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed with Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC) to answer the research questions while t-test was used to test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significant. The result of the findings showed that; there is low extent of satisfaction with library services by the respondents, there is significant relationship between library exhibition/display services and users' satisfaction and there is also significant and positive relationship between user education and users' satisfaction. The study recommends that the library management should embark on feasibility study so as to make sure that the information resources needed by users are acquired as this will increase users' satisfaction and the provision of user-oriented service should be encourage so as to enhance users' satisfaction and patronage of libraries. The study investigated the inhibiting factors of selection and acquisition of grey literature in universities libraries. In carrying out this study four research questions were posed. The study employed a descriptive research design with a questionnaire as the research instrument. The study was carried out using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) application software. The findings of this study show that, grey literature contributed greatly to national development since they sometimes originate from scholars and grey literature are publications which served as important materials to users of academic libraries, among others. It also show that libraries select and acquire grey literature for academics research purposes, such as civil society or non-governmental organizations reports, academic works, research records, project, research reports, conference papers, and theses, dissertation and government documents, government reports, white papers, memoranda, conference proceedings, technical specifications, bibliographies and maps and evaluations, among others. The findings indicates that, academics libraries were facing numerous obstacles in selection and acquisition of grey literature such as grey literature is not accessible through the normal distribution channels, and grey literatures are hard to locate but which in most cases contain relevant and important data. This paper investigated the influence of ICT skills on the research output of academic librarians in public universities in the South-West, Nigeria. The study was guided by three objectives and three corresponding research questions. A survey research design method was adopted for the study. The total population for the study was two hundred and twenty (220) librarians in the South-West Nigerian universities. Hence, the total population was adopted. A questionnaire was the main instrument used for data collection. Two hundred and three (203) copies of the questionnaire were returned and used for the analysis. Data were analysed using descriptive (frequency count, tables, percentages, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential (simple linear regression) statistics. The results of the analysis revealed that academic librarians' level of research output was moderate in quality and quantity. The result also showed that the level of ICT skills among academic librarians in public universities in South-West Nigeria was high. ICT skills have a positive and significant influence on research output among academic librarians in public universities in South-West, Nigeria. Based on the findings, it was recommended that academic librarians should endeavour to publish more textbooks, journal articles, conference proceedings, monographs, book chapters, and technical reports, in high rated journals for more visibility. This study investigated the relationship between information scoping skills and the research output of academic librarians in universities in South-South Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria with corresponding specific objective, research question, and research hypothesis. To effectively drive the study two theories were adopted. The theory of social cultural learning for the independent variable (information scoping skill), and the theory of self-efficacy for the dependent variable (research output of academic librarians). More so, conceptual review of literature on information scoping skills and research out were carried, and specific empirical review of literature with extrinsic similarity and dissimilarity to the study was also done. The study adopted the correlational research design as the research design while the study area was South-South Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria. The population of study comprised of 252 academic librarians working in the various academic library units and faculties. The census technique was used as the sampling technique with a sampling size of 252. The researcher-developed questionnaire entitled: " Information Scoping Skills and the Research Output of Academic Librarians Questionnaire (ISSROALQ)" was used to collect data while the reliability test results using Cronbach Alpha formula in SPSS showed an average coefficient of .85 which signified that the instrument was reliable for the study. Data was collected from the various universities by the researchers and their trained assistants by following the requisite ethical procedures. The data collected was analysed using frequencies and percentages for the research question, while the test of hypothesis at ≤ 0.05 level of significant was carried with Chi-Square Test of Independence. The result showed that information scoping skill has a positive significant relationship with the research output of academic librarians with p value 0.00, and Phi coefficient of 2.53 indicating of very large extent of positive relationship. In conclusion, it was recommended that the National University commission should make proficient utilization of information literacy skills by academic librarians as part of the requirement to assess their suitability for performance within the scholarly communities. Also, the university management should consider constant information literacy skills programs to improve the literacy skill of the academic staff to be able to carry out sound and rich research output. The study focused on reference services and users' satisfaction in tertiary institutions in Imo State, Nigeria. The study examined the extent of users' satisfaction with reference services in tertiary institutions in Imo State, Nigeria, the relationship with referral services, inter-library loan and current awareness services with users' satisfaction. Four research questions were posed and three hypotheses were formulated for the study. Correlational design was adopted for the study while modified 4-point likert rating scale was used to elicit data for the study. A sample size of 393 respondents was drawn from the population of 15310 using Taro Yamane (1967) sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed with Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC) to answer the research questions while t-test was used to test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significant. The result of the findings showed that; there is low extent of satisfaction with reference services by the respondents, there is positive and high significant relationship between referral services and users' satisfaction and there is also significant and positive relationship between inter-library loan and users' satisfaction and there is a low significant relationship between current awareness services and users' satisfaction in tertiary institutions in Imo State, Nigeria. The study recommends that referral services should be made more effective through communication and interrelation to special groups/agencies for social and health information. The study investigated how librarians working in various university libraries in Kwara State, Nigeria, adopt and use artificial intelligence. The study raised four research goals as well as four research questions. A descriptive survey method and random sampling techniques with 450 randomly selected librarians from Kwara State Universities, Nigeria, were used for the research. Five research assistants were trained on how to contact respondents and secure their consent before distributing the structured questionnaire designed by the researcher, who assisted in the tool distribution process. The researcher was able to retrieve 410 copies of the 450 questionnaires that were given to the respondents. However, the rate of return was 91%, which is a respectable amount. A self-designed questionnaire was used to elicit responses from the respondents, and a simple percentage was adapted for data analysis. The results showed that there was little adoption of AI in university libraries in Kwara State, Nigeria. The research also reveals that security scanning devices at the entrances and exits of university libraries are the most prevalent AI systems, while other AI systems such as bots, chatbots, face recognition, touch recognition, RFID technologies, humans, AI classification tools, machine-readable catalogs, and not smart AI features are still missing from the Kwara State University libraries. A self-designed questionnaire was used to elicit responses from the respondents, and a simple percentage ratio was adapted for data analysis. The findings revealed that AI has received minimal attention in university libraries in Kwara State, Nigeria. According to the study, the most common AIs are security scanning equipment at university library entrances and exits, followed by robotics, chatbots, face recognition, and touch recognition. RFID technologies, humanoids, AI classification tools, machine-readable catalogs, and AI smart features are still lacking in Kwara State's university libraries. The results of this study also indicate that librarians in a university library are aware of the many ways in which artificial intelligence can be applied to provide services. The results of the study indicate that obstacles to adoption include significant disruption caused by artificial intelligence in traditional library services, a lack of skills and a need for training prior to adoption, irregular power supply, and a lack of adequate infrastructure for adoption, among other problems. The study recommended the need to organize training for librarians to enhance their skills in using artificial intelligence to provide services, and the university administration and libraries should commit and provide the necessary support for the adoption of artificial intelligence by providing the necessary infrastructure to ensure its rapid implementation. The paper examines the challenges of cataloguing library resources, in the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Public Libraries (CCTML), South Africa. The paper was necessitated by the postulation that, the extent of access and the use of library resources depends greatly upon the quality of the library catalogue. The following research questions were formulated: what cataloguing knowledge do cataloguers of CCTML have? How is cataloguing carried out in CCTML? What challenges do cataloguers of CCTML experience in cataloguing library resources? Qualitative approach and case study design were employed. The population of the study was made of 6 cataloguers. Data was collected through the focus group interview. Findings indicated that cataloguers experienced challenges of assigning subject headings for languages other than English, allocation of the correct classification notation and the advanced use of the cataloguing standards. Cataloguers obtained knowledge of descriptive cataloguing, subject analysis and classification. The study investigated knowledge sharing practices in academic libraries in Imo State, Nigeria. The research adopted descriptive survey design. Two research questions were posed for the study. The population of the study was 89 professional librarians selected from four tertiary institutions in Owerri Municipal Council which are Federal University of Technology Owerri (48), Imo State University, Owerri (15), Federal Polytechnic Nekede (11) and Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri (15). The instrument for data collection was rating scale titled Rating Scale on Knowledge Sharing Practices in Academic Libraries in Imo State (RSKSPAL). The data collected was analyzed using simple percentage and mean. The findings of the study revealed that professional librarians in academic libraries in Imo State are aware of knowledge sharing practices to a high extent. The result also showed that professional librarians in academic libraries in Imo State use the following verbal discussion, Seminar/workshop, conference, mentoring, staff meeting, email, Facebook, notice board, library portal, website, twitter, telegram, brainstorming, community practice and whatsApp to share knowledge. The study concludes that librarians strongly agreed that verbal discussion, Seminars/workshops, Conference, mentoring, notice board, Library portal, brainstorming and whatsapp are the major knowledge sharing practice use while the respondents disagree to Facebook, Twitter, email and Community practice as methods of knowledge sharing practice and recommends that seminars/workshops should be carried out for both old and fresh librarians in order to build further awareness of knowledge sharing practices among librarians. This research was carried out to evaluate the Awareness and Use of Open Access Institutional Repositories by Academics in Federal Universities in North Central States of Nigeria. The research questions raised among others include: How often do academic staff use Open Access IR for dissemination of research outputs in Federal Universities in North Central States of Nigeria? What challenges are academic staff faced with in accessing Open Access IR in Federal Universities in North Central States of Nigeria? Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the research. The target population are 3,547 academics in the Federal Universities in the North Central States excluding University of Agriculture Makurdi, and University of Abuja. A sample of 355 respondents (Academics) was selected for the study. The figure represents approximately 10% of the target population of academics in the Federal Universities in North Central States of Nigeria. The instrument that was used to collect data for the study is questionnaire. The data collected was subjected to descriptive statistics. Mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the data. Some of the major findings revealed: that the Open Access Institutional Repositories were used by scholars on daily bases and at their will. That academics experience a kind of delay when looking for information from their Open Access Institutional Repositories during their academic activities which can lead to unproductive academic productivity. The study recommends that university management should provide necessary facilities and formulate policies that would encourage mandatory deposit and use of scholarly works in open access institutional repositories and other open access outlets to raise the level of usage among others. Eight research assistants who had received training in how to contact respondents and secure their consent before distributing the structured questionnaire designed by the researcher assisted in the instrument distribution process. The researcher was able to retrieve 704 copies of the 848 questionnaires that were given to the responders. However, the return rate was 83%, which is a respectable amount. The descriptive statistics approach was used to analyse the data that the questionnaire produced. The results showed that there has been little adoption of AI in university libraries in Southern Nigeria. The research also reveals that security scanning devices at university libraries' entrances and exits are the most prevalent AIs, while other AIs like robots, chatbots, face recognition, touch recognition, RFID technologies, humanoids, AI classification tools, machine-readable catalogues, and AI smart features are still lacking in Southern Nigeria's university libraries. The results of this study also suggest that the university library's librarians are knowledgeable about the many ways that AI may be applied to provide services. The study's findings indicate that adoption hurdles include considerable disruption brought on by AI to conventional library services, a lack of skills and the need for training prior to adoption, erratic power supply, a lack of suitable infrastructure for adoption, among other problems. It was recommended in the study that training should be organized for librarians to boost their skills in the use of AI for service delivery and university and library management should be committed and give the needed support towards the adoption of AI by making available the needed infrastructure to ensure their swift implementation. The study focused on Market Women Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Gadgets in Nigeria. This is a survey study with a descriptive design. The population of the study consist of all the market women of the various markets in Nigeria, studied. From the target population, a sample size of 300 was drawn through the convenient sampling technique. The study employed the questionnaire method of data collection. The responses generated from 224 filled, returned and found usable questionnaires were collated and analysed for the purpose of matching the research objectives and answering the research questions. The statistical analysis method used in analysing the descriptive data was frequency count and simple percentages. The findings are: most market women own Smartphones; market women use their smartphones of mostly buying and selling and making and receiving payments online; challenges of erratic power supply, illiteracy and high cost of smartphone, were inherent. The study recommended among others that, the Federal, State and Local Governments should encourage the use of ICT gadgets by market women, by giving on-the-spot free lectures in form of training to market women in their market places. This work is set to ascertain Knowledge Culture and Librarians' Productivity in University Libraries in South-South, Nigeria. A descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The study population was 132 Librarians working in the Federal, State and Privately-owned University libraries in South-South Nigeria. The entire population was used for the study as it was manageable. A self-designed questionnaire was used to collect data on knowledge culture and Librarians productivity. Means were used to answer the Research questions while the Pearson Product Moment Correlation coefficient was used to test the hypotheses. Results from the study show that University Librarians adopted different strategies for Knowledge Culture and that there is a positive significant relationship between knowledge Culture and librarians' productivity in university libraries. Objective: This paper aims at determining students' attributes and utilization of information resources in academic libraries in Imo State. The study focused on four (4) Universities in Imo State while four (4) variables were considered: students' study habit, intellectual curiosity and information literacy skill, with a sample of one hundred and twenty (120) respondents. Methods: The sample respondents were drawn using a simple random sampling technique through structured questionnaires. The answer to the research questions were arrived at using the descriptive analysis while the hypotheses were tested using t-test at 5% level of significance. Results: The results show that the major determinants of students' utilization of library information resources are: students' information literacy skill to use the computer and Internet facilities provided to access information resources for their assignments; to explore new ideas and balance their study time with recreation to avoid conflict. The result also shows a significant relationship between students' study habit, intellectual curiosity, information literacy skill and utilization of information resources in the library. Conclusion: The extent of students' knowledge of how to access sources of information using computer and Internet facilities provided; students' desire to explore new ideas to among others update themselves and carry out their class assignments affects their utilization of library information resources. The study investigated Librarians' ICT skills and Effective Library Service Delivery in University Libraries in Rivers State, Nigeria. The study adopted a correlational research design. Three objectives and three research questions guided the study and three null hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The population of the study was 56 comprised librarians in the five university libraries in Rivers State from which purposive sampling technique was used to select three university libraries in Rivers State. Census sampling technique was adopted where all the 46 librarians in the three university libraries were used as the sample. A structured questionnaire titled: Librarians' ICT Skills and Effective Services Delivery Questionnaire (LICTESDQ) was used for data collection with 4 point scales. The instrument was given to two experts in the Ignatius Ajuru University, Port-Harcourt to ascertain face and content validity by ensuring that items in the questionnaire matched with the research questions by modifications of some items. A trial testing technique was adopted to ensure reliability of the instrument. Cronbach Alpha was used to analyze the data. The output yielded the Alpha coefficient of 0.96. The data was analysed using simple percentage for demographic data, mean and standard for research questions and Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) to test the hypotheses. The result revealed that librarians had web applications skills, library networking skills, cloud technology skills, and there is a significant relationship between web application skills, library networking skills and cloud technology skill, and effective library services delivery. The study recommended that library management should regularly organise training and retraining for librarians on ICT skills particularly web application skills, library networking skills and cloud technology skills. This research study, application of ICT in newly Established Federal University Library in Nigeria; a case study of Federal University Lokoja. The research was guided by five research questions. Survey research method was used and questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. Mean scores where used to analyze the data generated. From the analyzed data, it was discovered that ICTs are averagely applicable though it has enormously benefited some library services in Federal University Lokoja, Library. The challenges identified were inadequate ICT facilities, Epileptic power supply and poor network facilities. In consonant with the vision of Federal University Lokoja Library, the library management has fully embraced the use of ICT in information handling and services so as to fit in with the ICT drive of the 21st century. Based on the findings it was recommended that there should be financial assistance from both government and nongovernmental bodies, for effective and efficient power supply, there should be a supplementary standby generator to ensure the continuity of work in the case of power outage, every division in the library should be completely automated in order to facilitate and create an avenue for effective service delivery and computer training and re-training programs should be organized from time to time to assist librarians who do not have knowledge in computer skills as this will aid awareness of computer potentials and capabilities. The study examined the role of information and communication technology (ICT)) towards providing effective library services in special libraries of Adamawa broadcasting corporation Yola, Adamawa State Nigeria. The study employed four objectives of the study and four research questions. The study adopted the descriptive survey research method. Questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. The population of the study consists of fifteen (15) staff. This study adopted purposive sampling technique where. Descriptive statistic was used as the method of data analysis. The study revealed that there is availability of ICTs such as: CDs, hard drives, flash and also photocopier and printers in the library. The study also, revealed that the staff possessed competencies in retrieving document from storage devices. The study also, showed that current awareness services are effective in using ICTS for providing effective services in the library. The study showed that poor funding and facilities are the major problem hindered the effective use of information and communication technology in the library. The study concluded that among others that there is availability of information and communication technologies; also, staff in the library possessed competencies of retrieving document from the storage devices and poor funding and inadequate facilities are the major problems hinders the effective use of the library. This study investigated the levels of job satisfaction among para-professionals in academic libraries in Bauchi State. A descriptive survey research design was adopted. The population of the study consist all the 250 paraprofessionals in the six academic libraries in Bauchi State. The entire population was used without sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire titled "Levels of Job Satisfaction among Para-Professionals in Academic Libraries Questionnaire" (LOJSPALQ). This instrument was validated by three experts. The reliability of the instrument was determined using Cronbach Alpha which yielded an overall co-efficient value of 0.78. Mean score and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions. The null hypotheses were tested using independent samples t-test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that male para-professionals were satisfied with their job as regards staff development than their female counterpart; the findings also revealed that there is no significant difference in the mean response of male and female para-professionals on their level of job satisfaction based on staff development and promotional opportunities in academic libraries in Bauchi State. Based on these findings, the researcher recommended among others that the universities, polytechnics and colleges of education management should endeavor to provide a level playing ground for equal opportunities between male and female para-professionals staff by ensuring that basic needs for academic excellence are provided for all, irrespective of gender, and the management should develop and sustain policies that will enhance parameters of job satisfaction. The study examined users' assessment of digital reference service delivery in private university libraries in Enugu State. The study is guided by four research questions. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study comprised of the entire undergraduates of private universities in Enugu State, Nigeria. Multistage sampling technique was used to select 500 undergraduates to assess the delivery of digital reference services in their university. Structured questionnaire was used for data collected, while mean and standard deviation was used for analyzing the data collected for the study. The finding revealed that, digital reference service delivery in private universities in Enugu state is still at the basic as only E-Mail Reference Service, with Telephone reference service, Short message service (SMS) reference service, and Voice-call reference service are provided though to a moderate extent. Other digital reference services such as web-form/query form reference service, live-chat reference service, ask-a-service, video-call reference service, social media reference service, reference robot service, and collaborative digital reference service are not provided. The major challenges are erratic power supply, sub-standard telecommunication infrastructures, lack of skills and competences in the use of ICT for reference services, low internet bandwidth, and technophobia. The study recommended that, there is need for private University Libraries to train their staff on digital skills and competences required to deliver effective digital reference services to their users. This paper studied the impact of industrial action on academic libraries in Nigerian Universities. The study adopted descriptive survey design with one research question and one hypothesis was formulated. The population of the study comprised of entire students and staff (academic and non-academic) of Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi and Benue State University formed the population of the study these give a total figure of 59,039. Sample size and sampling Technique Out of a population figure of 59,039, a sample size of 810 was chosen using Taro Yamen technique. Method of data collection was Questionnaire, oral interview and participant observation were used in gathering primary data. The data analysis of the study was based on the responses obtained through the research instruments. These were tabulated and computed using mean(x) percentage (%) chi-square (x2) and T-test statistics. Chi-square was chosen to test the hypotheses of the study and analyzed with stratified package for the social sciences (SPSS) version 21 while T-test was used to compute significant difference in students' results taken in academic session that was disrupted by strike and the one that was not in selected departments in Federal University of Agriculture and Benue State University Makurdi. The study was designed to examine the staff training indices for effective library services in Donald E. U. Ekong Library, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The indices in the study relates to the challenges and strategies to enhance staff training in the library. The study was guided by three objectives and research questions respectively. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population for this study was 104 staff comprising both professional and para-professional staff of the library. Data was collected using questionnaire and analysed using mean scores. Findings of the study revealed that key staff training indices like In-service training, Apprenticeship, on-the-job coaching, computer literacy, simulation exercise, job rotation, workshop and In-house lectures were available in the university library. Respondents agree that visits to other libraries was not available in the library as a means of improving staff training. On the other hand, findings also show that absence of employees need analysis, inadequate skills, absence of training policies and absence of interdepartmental skills as part of the staff training problems in the library. These problems were closely followed by inappropriate and haphazard training in the library. The study recommended that there is need for constant review of staff training needs that will reflect on all aspects of the job and increased funding for library staff training programmes. This study is on exploring the impact of library education in addressing library anxiety among first year students of Coal City University, Enugu, Nigeria. The study aims to ascertain the impact of library education in addressing library anxiety. Four specific objectives and four research questions were formulated to guide this study. A total of two hundred and twenty-eight (228) year one students formed the population of the study. These are the students who had library education for the year 2022/2023 academic year. Questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection. Data collected were analysed in line with the research questions using frequency and percentage and presented in charts. The research findings revealed that library anxiety affect the way students use the library, however, disturbances and noise inside the library, size and space of the library, unfamiliarity of the library arrangement, crowding of the library, attitude of staff and poor ventilation in the library contribute less to library anxiety among first year in Coal City University Enugu. The students are aware of library education programmes such as use of library course and they participate in the use of library course. The library education has really played key role in ensuring that there is no form of library anxiety among the Coal City University freshmen and that they use the library effectively and efficiently. Based on the findings, it was recommended that the library management should create avenues to always encourage the library users so as to ensure that they are not hindered from using the library due to anxiety especially the freshmen.; that while delivering library education, there shouldn't be any assumption that the students are already familiar with the library beforehand, instead, it should be taught from the basics in order to achieve its objective and ensure effective use of the library. The major aim of this study was to investigate librarians' perception of insecurity on education Of Secondary School Students in Benue State, Nigeria. A total of 1000 made up of 500 each of male and female students responded to a self-structured validated questionnaire designed for the study. Two research questions and one hypothesis were formulated to guide the study. Means and standard deviations were calculated to answer the research questions and independent samples t-tests were used for testing the hypotheses. Major findings revealed that insecurity of school environment significantly affects the academic performance of secondary school students while students' gangsterism, smoking of Indian hemp, abusing other hard drugs, cult and related violent activities were some of the factors that constituted insecurity of the school environment which eventually cause boys to leave school and join trading while leading girls to drop out and settle for marriage. Based on the findings, it was recommended that owners of schools and other stakeholders in education should take bold steps to fence and protect school environments from intruders to ensure safety of the students. This study was on a survey of records management practices in state ministries in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The survey design was used for the study, with the questionnaire as the instrument for data collection. The population of the study was one hundred and six (106) records management staff of the ministries studied. Two research questions were posed for investigation. The study revealed that various records are created by the ministries which include records on general administration, accounts and finance, sports, health, laws, education and environments. The study also revealed that the ministries used such facilities as wooden shelves, metallic cabinets, steel shelves, filling cabinets for the storage of the records. The study recommended that if sufficient funds are provided for records management, all other problems can be taken care of. The study recommends that Akwa Ibom State Government should set up a records management empowerment Programme (RMIP) which ultimate goal should be to establish an Integrated and holistic records management programme. This paper deployed a systematic review to examine prison libraries and intellectual freedom towards attaining social justice in Nigeria. Information resources used cover the periods of 2010 and 2020 to articulate the necessary development in prison libraries, intellectual freedom and social justice in Nigeria. Search engines such as Google scholar, Semantic Scholar, and RefSeek were used to retrieve information and through different queries yielded several results but very few of them were selected to fit in the study due to limited studies directed to address the focus of this study particularly in the Nigeria scenario. Information obtained were subjected to content analysis following relevant themes of the research questions and relevant information obtained were subjected to analysis using a systematic review approach of relevant articles and information to achieve the major objectives of the study. Results were presented with respect to the research question of the study. The findings revealed that prison inmates in Nigeria have several information needs which include current affairs, legal information, religious information, health information, psychological information, recreational information, vocational information, educational information. recreational information and also financial needs. Despite the huge needs of these inmates, prison libraries provide very few, restricting access to majority to inmates. This could pose significant effect on inmates in the long run particularly in the prison and after serving their prison punishment hence, affecting the attainment of social justice society in Nigeria and also the attainment of SDG. To this end, the study recommends that various information needs are to be considered and met by prison libraries towards ensuring intellectual freedom and ensuring a social justice community and prison libraries should be provided with several needed facilities and funds that could make it possible to meet the intellectual freedom of inmates towards ensuring a social justice society. The study investigated the development of creative spaces in libraries: a case study of Abia State University Library. This study was guided by three specific objectives and three research questions. The design of the study is a descriptive survey, and the population is comprised of 20 librarians from Abia State University Library. Census sampling technique was used to collect the data. The instrument used to generate data for the study is a questionnaire tagged ''Development of Creative Spaces in Libraries Questionnaire (DCSLQ), and the data generated was analyzed using the mean. The findings show that in the development of creative spaces, library personnel need certain skills, and when skills are strategically approached, there can be significant growth in the ability to participate and collaborate. In addition, it was found that the skills needed are leadership skills, interpersonal relationships, technological skills, problem solving skills, and knowledge of intervention skills. Some of the challenges are a lack of willingness among librarians to adopt innovative strategies in libraries and a lack of trained personnel to handle the creative spaces. It was recommended, amongst others, that the infrastructure and facilities for creative spaces should be maintained, hence providing an enabling environment for skill acquisition, interaction, and knowledge development. Contemporary technologies involve the application of modern scientific knowledge in doing things in a much quicker and efficient ways which improve the workflow. Either it could be helping humans or doing the task alone, machines are always better in terms of accuracy and efficiency. This study therefore examines the extent at which special libraries in Enugu State, Nigeria utilize contemporary technologies for service delivery. The study which employed descriptive survey design, was guided by five research questions framed in line with the research objectives with a sampled population of 15 librarians derived from the six selected special libraries while the principle instruments used in obtaining data for the study were Observational checklist of 24 items and structured questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using frequency count, mean, Standard deviations and rankings and presented in tables. The outcome of the study did show that contemporary technologies are under-utilized for service delivery in most special libraries in Enugu State a microcosm of the macrocosm Nigeria, although they complement many of the services provided by the special libraries, also the study revealed that contemporary technologies to a high extent are beneficial and contribute immensely to quality services delivery whereas, inadequate funding and epileptic power supply were part of the challenges identified militating against optimal utilization of these technologies of which solutions were proffered. Recommendations were made based on the findings which includes steady or alternative power supply, adequate funding, consistent and constant training of staff to upgrade their skill on the use of contemporary technologies. The purpose of the study was to determine digital access tools and provision of open educational resources by librarians in academic libraries in Rivers State. Three objectives, three research questions and three hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The study adopted a correlational research survey design. The population of the study was Seventy-Five (75) librarians comprising all the state government owned academic libraries in Rivers State. Census sampling technique was used to select all the respondents. Online questionnaire titled Digital Access Tools and Provision of Open Educational Resources Questionnaire (DATPOERQ) was used for data collection. A total of Sixty-Six (66) responses were recorded and found valid for analysis. The data was analysed using the simple linear regression statistical tool. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between digital access tools (library website, institutional repository and databases) and the provision of open educational resources in academic libraries in Rivers State. The study recommended that academic libraries in Rivers state should link their websites including social media websites to other academic library websites and form a consortium so that users that have access to their libraries and could also harvest the online resources provided by other libraries.
