This study is aimed to examine the productivity and literature output in Information Literacy. This study analyses the growth of the literature output and information literacy, types of the documents. The relevant data were collected using the Web of Science database from the period 2011-2023 and data were tabulated. The total record retrieved is 2582. Major subject categories are authors whose contribution is in the maximum level, country wise productivity, Affiliations of the institutions and the source titles of the literature. The highest number of documents were published in the year 2022 i.e., 295 records (11.416%) and lowest number of documents i.e., 163 records (6.308%) was published in the year 2011. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the scientific productions published in scientific databases on Industrial Revolution (4IR) and libraries. The researchers investigated the scientific productions that were produced during the last decade (2010 to 2021) and indexed them in the Scopus database. The databases were inspected by VOSviewer and Biblioshiny software for those documents related to the 4IR and library. The keywords are used "Industrial Revolution*" AND "Librar*" in searching. The database's total results are 178. The selection of years shrinks the outputs to 98 publications. Published articles in English, 4IR, and libraries met several important inclusion and exclusion benchmarks for this evaluation. The study found the largest scholarly publication resulting from the country 'USA' (n=10), 'South Africa' (n=8) and Indonesia (n=7) from the total results. The study revealed that Library Hi Tech News provided the majority of the publications (n=06) and Journal of Physics Conference Series and Library Philosophy and Practice ranked 2nd (n=03) and 3rd (n=03) respectively. The research found the most productive organizations were Universiti Teknologi Malaysia ranked 1st (n=10), University Library ranked 2nd (n=8) and Konkuk University ranked 3rd (n= 8). The study found Matofska, B. (n=8) as the most productive author and 2020 (n=28) as the most productive year in the field. The co-occurrence analysis confirmed that the study formed 2 clusters. This scientometric analysis illustrated the overall research flow and scenario along with research growth, productive authors, prolific sources and affiliations in the field that will show the path of the research scholars. Very simply, research is the systematic investigation to explore new knowledge for scientific achievement. Research comprises "creative and systematic work undertaken to increase the stock of knowledge, including knowledge of humans, culture and society, and the use of this stock of knowledge to devise new applications" (OECD, 2015). Research carried out by scientists and researchers has made an enormous impact on the world over the centuries specially for developing countries like Bangladesh. Research can make a significant contribution to the growth and development of any nation. Research and the library are closely interconnected with one another. A "researcher life cycle" approach was applied to identify researcher information needs. Librarians continue to play a central role in conducting successful research and are expanding beyond their traditional duties for delivering high quality information services to engage themselves more as educators, technological guides, and communicators. Librarians should pace more and more into a leadership role develop major initiatives and conduct training to increase research reproducibility. The present paper focuses on the basic technical issues of efficient research skills and highlights the librarians' competencies for research support of Bangladesh for guiding researchers for conducting successful research and ensuring a better work environment to do research. This paper mainly explores the proper referencing and citations, submission of manuscript in impact journals, find out predatory journals and selection for publishing articles in open access journals. This study also highlights the use and impact of various online databases such as Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus in order to explore citation status, h index and research performance of an individual author, country and institution. The study also investigates the role of the library in addressing present and future challenges to bridge technical issues of conducting research in Bangladesh. The main objective of this bibliometric study is to examine the publications globally from the Journal of Information Science in the specific period of forty two years (1979-2020). It provides insights into research-based activities. The data was extracted from the Science Citation Index database, Web of Science. This analysis provides information about the document types, yearly published documents within 42 years, top productive authors, top productive institutions and countries, frequently used keywords, and greatly cited articles. These aspects also meet the objectives of the study and provide the major findings such as the majority of the publications are "articles" belong to the Department of Information Science from the UK. That is also a top productive country. The author "Oppenheim C." is on the first position with highest total publications (TP). This paper aims to analyze and show the research trends on published research on information technology applications for library information services from 2011 until 2020. The papers are collected from SCOPUS and Web of Science databases. The study reveals 310 papers from various journals, and the total number of citations is 896 from 10 years. The data from 310 papers reveal that the most productive journal with the highest number of publications is "Library Hi Tech Journal". The Library Hi Tech Journal published 24 papers for a particular topic. Meanwhile, China dominates other countries with the highest number of publications with 97 papers (29.66%), and tops the list among the most productive countries. It is found that the most visible words as keywords are "University" and "Digital" and it is followed by "Management", "Mobile", "Case", "Data", "Development", and "Application". The focus of the present study is to analyse the top 100 cited papers in the field of Education. The study is aimed to provide insight into the citation pattern, authorship pattern, year, journals, countries, etc. of these top cited papers with the help of bibliometric analysis. The data for the study was extracted from the Web of Science database. The results of the study indicate that the majority of these 100 top papers were published from 2002 to 2006. Educational Psychologist, Academic Medicine and Review of Educational Research were the foremost journals while Taylor and Francis and Sage Publications were the major publishers. The majority of the research papers are multi-authored and S.B. Issenberg, W.C. Mcgaghie and J Sweller are the most productive authors. The study deals with the Scientometric study on the publication of "Geochemistry". The records are collected from Web of Science Databases for the period of 1989-2020. A total of 2603 papers were identified in Web of Science database. The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journal and more numbers of articles were published in the year 2019. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 2603 literature published, 92.5% of the publication published under the joint author. Four thousand three hundred and eighty nine authors have contributed the total of 2603 articles. Purpose: This study aims to trace the impact of the NIRF ranking on research publications, with special reference to North-East Indian Universities, and to evaluate the research publications, citation, and h-index of the respective universities. Methodology: The respective universities have been selected from the list of NIRF ranking top hundred universities. Information related to research publications, citation, and h-index is retrieved from the Web of Science database. This study deals with a scientific study of ten years of research publication from the eight selected universities, five years after NIRF ranking, and five years before ranking (2011-2015 and 2016-2020). Findings: The study shows that research publications are a prime phenomenon for ranking the university and higher educational institutions. NIRF provides 70 weightage of publications and quality of publications. The study reveals that only eight universities from NE India got ranked in NIRF ranking. Tezpur University is the most prolific university in the region. The rank of universities is in a state of fluctuation year after year. The distribution of Research Publications, Citation, and h-index in the last ten years before ranking and after ranking shows that all the universities have tried to improve their scholarly output. This paper attempts to highlight the growth and development of Covid-19 Vaccine literature and make the quantitative and qualitative assessment by way of analyzing various features of research output and Citations impact based on the Web of Science database. A total of 433 publications were published on Covid-19 Vaccine, which received 52567 Citations during 1989-2020. The average number of citations per publication was 121.4. The research was peaked in 2020 with 97(Which received a minimum of 500 Citations) Publications and the highest number of citations (14623) were received in 2020. USA had the highest share 229 of publications and received 29027 Citations followed by the Peoples Republic of China with 13798 Citations for 114 publications, the UK with 4314 Citations for 35 publications, Germany with 3404 Citations for 33 publications, the Netherlands with 28 Citations for 28 publications. The study found that India has recorded 705 Citations for 9 Publications. The highly productive Institutions were: National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from the USA with 39 publications and received 6076 Citations followed by University N Carolina-the USA with 31 publications and 4118 citations, University Hong Kong-China with 23 publications and 3546 citations, New York Blood Centre with 21 publications and 2931 citations. The present paper attempt to compare the contribution of two state universities of West Bengal i.e. University of Burdwan (BU) and University of Kalyani (KU) under different parameters like publication size, authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, subject, language, geographical distribution during the period 2000 to 2019 (20 years) by using Web of Science as a source database. The study revealed that both the universities have almost similar authorship pattern, citation distribution and prefer to publish articles in journals. Purpose-Estimation of food portions is necessary in image based dietary monitoring techniques. The purpose of this systematic survey is to identify peer reviewed literature in image-based food volume estimation methods in Scopus, Web of Science and IEEE database. It further analyzes bibliometric survey of image-based food volume estimation methods with 3D reconstruction and deep learning techniques. Design/methodology/approach-Scopus, Web of Science and IEEE citation databases are used to gather the data. Using advanced keyword search and PRISMA approach, relevant papers were extracted, selected and analyzed. The bibliographic data of the articles published in the journals over the past twenty years were extracted. A deeper analysis was performed using bibliometric indicators and applications with Microsoft Excel and VOS viewer. A comparative analysis of the most cited works in deep learning and 3D reconstruction methods is performed. Findings: This review summarizes the results from the extracted literature. It traces research directions in the food volume estimation methods. Bibliometric analysis and PRISMA search results suggest a broader taxonomy of the image-based methods to estimate food volume in dietary management systems and projects. Deep learning and 3D reconstruction methods show better accuracy in the estimations over other approaches. The work also discusses importance of diverse and robust image datasets for training accurate learning models in food volume estimation. Practical implications-Bibliometric analysis and systematic review gives insights to researchers, dieticians and practitioners with the research trends in estimation of food portions and their accuracy. It also discusses the challenges in building food volume estimator model using deep learning and opens new research directions. Originality/value-This study represents an overview of the research in the food volume estimation methods using deep learning and 3D reconstruction methods using works from 1995 to 2020. The findings present the five different popular methods which have been used in the image based food volume estimation and also shows the research trends with the emerging 3D reconstruction and deep learning methodologies. Alcoholic drinks have been prepared and consumed in India from ancient times. Many techniques are applied to brew alcohol locally, out of which rice beer is very prominent. Scientific research has been conducted to standardize the brewing technique of local tribes for mass production and storage. This study aims to explore India's publication pattern in rice beer research during 1990-2019. This study analyzes a total of 84 papers on rice beer obtained from the Web of Science database. The distribution of literature on rice beer has been analyzed year-wise, document wise, favoured research areas frequently occurred keywords. Data were extracted through the Web of Science database related to August 2020. Results revealed that: i) 2014 is the most productive year; ii) articles found to be the principal source of publications iii) the most preferred research area on rice beer is Food Science Technology; iv) the occurrence of keywords found with the help VOSviewer. Research productivity of any university is a reflection of its status quo in terms of its position in Higher Education Institution (HEI) ranking framework. This Scientometric study is an attempt to highlight the key features of research productivity of Science Faculty of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University based on the data collected from Web of Science database over a period of 30 years from 1990 to 2019.This article studied the publication trend by analysis of the 2229 research records. The major objectives of this study were to evaluate the research output in terms of number and type of publications, prolific and productive author, most preferred publication, citation analysis and so on. The complete research output is 2229 with an Annual Growth Rate (AGR) of 6.23 % with 11.4 % of average citations per paper. The period from year 2004 to 2019 was highly productive block with year 2015 contributing highest 7.31 % of the total number of publications during the study period. Dentistry is a branch of medicine that is involved in the study of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases disorders and conditions of the oral function. The study rummages world performances based on its publication output in Dentistry during 1999-2018 (20 years) based on several parameters including a whole country of world's annual average growth rate of publications share and rank Relative Growth Rate (RGR). The study was carried out from Web of Science on Dentistry research at Global perspective. The maximum records published 1536 with 9.62% in 2018 out of 15970 on Dentistry research, whereas the year 1999 is marked by lowest position having 424 records. The majority of publication in Dentistry has been published in the form of Article in journals i.e. 12331 (77.21%). In this study among the top 25 authors, Lang NP is on the top position by publishing 89 articles with h-index score 26 and g-index score 59. It is identified The Four Author contribution the highest in number of publications it is recorded to 10976 (16.69%) and occupies the first rank. It could be found that the county of USA has the highest contributed 3720 articles with highest citation i.e. 58763; whereas the Indian country's minimum of records published in this research was 232 (1.5%) articles. Objective: The purpose of this research paper is to present a quantitative analysis of the Criminal Law Literature published from 2010 to 2019. Design/Methodology: The Institute of Scientific Information (ISI) Web of Science database was used as a source for extracting the data of published documents during the period 2010-2019. The analysis of the published literature was based on the following indicators: research productivity of each country, annual publications, annual citations, highly cited articles, highly cited law journals, most productive institutions in the field of criminal law, and most prolific authors. Research articles, conference proceeding papers, book reviews and editorials are different type of documents included in this study for analysis. Findings: The Finding revealed that 2017 was the most productive years in term of publications in the field of Criminal Law. The study found that the USA is the most productive country. The findings further showed that four universities situated in USA are in the list of top ten most productive universities in the field of Criminal Law. Conclusion: The result of this study shows that last three years are the most productive years in term of research in criminal law. This study assessed the research output on Bamboo for a period of 29 years (1989-2018). The web of science database has been used to retrieve worldwide publication records on bamboo research. The records were analysed using the descriptive statistics. Based on the retrieved data, various aspect of literature on bamboo research analysed and interpreted. The performance of the most productivity countries, authors, journals, Institution wise, and Growth rate and doubling time have assessed. The articles were classified as Research, review and others and grouped under 22 subjects to identify the subject coverage of bamboo research. Dyslexia, or a reading disability, occurs when an individual has significant difficulty with speed and accuracy of word decoding. Comprehension of text and spelling are also affected. The diagnosis of dyslexia involves the use of reading tests, but the continuum of reading performance means that any cut off point is arbitrary. The IQ score does not play a role in the diagnosis of dyslexia. The cognitive difficulties of dyslexics include problems with speech perception, recognizing and manipulating the basic sounds in a language, language memory, and learning the sounds of letters. Dyslexia is a neurological condition with a genetic basis. There are abnormalities in the brains of dyslexic individuals. There are also differences in the electrophysiological and structural characteristics of the brains of dyslexics. Physicians play a particularly important role in recognizing children who are at risk for dyslexia and helping their parents obtain the proper assessment. The fundamental aim of this study was, to analyze the application of Lotka's law to the research publication, in the field of Dyslexia. The data related to Dyslexia were extracted from web of science database, which is a scientific, citation and indexing service, maintained by Clarivate Analytics. This study analyses the Indian Scientists contributions of research papers related to the topic in Data Mining was undertaken from Web of Science Databases has been used to retrieve the data for 22 years (1999-2020) by the searching the keyword "Data Mining". The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journals; as such 88.59% of articles were published in journals. More numbers of articles were published in the year 2019. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 1096 literature published, 95.53 % of the publication published under the joint author. It is observed that author productivity is not in agreement with Lotka's law, but productivity distribution data partially fits the law when the value of Chi-square to 25212.62. Microplastic pollution is a global problem because of its ecological and socioeconomic impacts on the environment. The large size plastic waste, under the action of ultraviolet radiation, pressure, and wind or wave action, breaks down into particles smaller than 5 mm referred to as microplastic. This huge amount of microplastic enters the ecosystem eventually leading to soil pollution. It has been established that microplastics enter the food chain when animals eat or ingest contaminated food materials.and have an adverse effect on human health The present paper investigates, past researches in the area of microplastic pollution of soil, by a detailed bibliometric analysis. The analysis is done by using the Scopus and Web of Science databases and tools like VOSviewer, Word cloud, and Imap builder. From the database of Scopus and web of science, it is observed that the publications on microplastic pollution of soil are 123 is Article and 34 is a Review article. The quantum of research is limited but an increasing trend is observed from the year 2017. Nanotechnology research covered in the Web of Science database during the period 2008-17 has been analyzed. A total of 16935 articles were retrieved and this forms the basis of this study. The growth of the article over the study window is 123 articles per year. 2017 is the most productive year with 2220 (13%, approx) articles. Journals and authors' productivity are analyzed based on their h-index and zindex. Among the 30 top productive journals taken for the study, ACS Nano is occupying the top position with 400 articles. The paired t-test showed a strong and significant correlation of h-index and z-index of authors and journals. The top ten leading countries have also been identified in the study and the USA has topped the rank with 29.68% of world share publication while India is in third position with 7.29% of share next to China (i.e. 15.23%). The same rank is observed for India in the Relative Citation Impact, however, with below world average (i.e. 0.81). This study will be beneficial for the library staff as well as for the Nanotechnology researchers towards identifying the most productive works, the most prolific authors and organizations affiliated to those works. The study investigated the research publications of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) during the period 2009-2018 as reflected in Web of Science database. The results show that 1694 papers were published and gained 20158 citations. The average number of citations per paper identified is 11.89%. Neuroscience Neurology, Psychiatry, and Surgery are the most preferred domains to publish the articles. The global collaboration of NIMHANS is mostly with the USA, England, and Australia. The primary purpose of this work is to examine the utilization of internet resources for learning and research among students of Taraba state university. This study, which is anchored on the uses and gratification adopted a survey among 350 students. The students perceived that the lack of digital readiness among their staff and institution, the absence of electronic library for easy accessibility to journals from the scientific database, and inefficient cybercafe and internet facility within their university settings were the main issues discouraging the utilization of the internet within their institutions. Yet, they still strive to find ways through self-organization, resilience and resourcefulness to make use of the internet to facilitate their studies. Most of them stated that they use their smartphone/handsets to access the internet through subscription from other internet providers. Google and Google Scholar was found to be the most preferred search engine. The students affirmed that the use of internet enabled them to perform research ahead of time, tackle multiple homework, widens the scope of reading and learning, promotes self-learning, encourages and enhances peer learning as well as ameliorates student's examination preparation. It was proposed that tertiary institutions in Nigeria most especially TSU should provide an electronic library where the students can easily access scientific journals from databases such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Wiley, and Emerald. This will lessen the reliance on Google and Google Scholar as well as provide the means to explore other related scientific papers which will improve their academic research and learning. Lotka's Law describes the frequency of publications by authors in a given subject/discipline. In the present study, an attempt has been made to study the suitability of the Lotka's Law to the publications of a Higher Educational institution of a region consisting of academic authors and researchers in various disciplines. Annamalai University has been ranked 20th in the state level and 56th at National level by MHRD. Annamalai University is renowned for its research output performance and has been funded for many major, minor and DST research projects. It has a large network and linkages to academia, R&D organisations and industries. It covers almost all the subjects with 10 Faculties and 49 departments of study. Examines the applicability of Lotka's Law as a general inverse power (a # 2) and as an inverse square power relationship (a = 2) to the distribution of the research productivity Annamalai University, South India. Two datasets of the research papers (936 and 3370) contributed by Annamalai University academic authors and researchers during the period of 2000-2006 and 2011-2017 were collected from Web of Science Database. A K-S Test was applied to measure the degree of agreement between the distribution of the observed set of data against the inverse general power relationship and the theoretical value of a=2. Web of Science is a major citation database which provides access to the world's leading scholarly literature. University of Goa is the only premier higher education institutes which cater the educational needs of the Goa. The present study evaluates the research productivity of University of Goa based on the data collected from Web of Science over a period of ten years from 2008 to 2017. This article studied the publication pattern, trend, collaboration with different organisations, institutions, R&D Centres and different nations. Top funding agencies in Science and Technology field research performance of faculty members of Goa University in last ten years. 1218 articles including 497 international collaborated articles with an increasing growth rate during the study period. Analysis revealed that Current Science journal is the most preferred journal among Goa University faculty members. It has been found that 315 (25.86%) publications belong to Chemistry subject. It is clear that relative growth rate of total research output is decreased gradually. The growth rate is 0.84 in 2009 and which decreased up to 0.15 in the year 2017. It is observed that the SJR and h-Index are the highest for the journal 'Fungal Diversity'. The objective of the study is to find out the flow of Wall Street Journal newspaper information in scholarly publication during 2001-2010. During the study period there were 3774 records with 3893 citations in different scholarly publications indexed in Web of Science. The study found that, the highest citation of Wall street journal newspaper was during the year 2010 with 28.44 % citations and the lowest was during year 2001 with 2.18% citations. Wall Street Journal newspaper was highly cited in journals articles with 82.53% citations, followed by review articles with 7.55% citations. Journal of Business Ethics (Netherlands) cited Wall Street Journal highest with 1.36% citations, followed by Management Science (USA) with 0.87% citations. The study also found that, Wall Street Journal is cited highest in subjects from Arts and Social Sciences with 78.89% % citations, and only 21.11% citations in subjects from Science and Technology. Among authors who cited Wall Street Journal newspaper, Etzioni, A. has cited Wall Street Journal highest i.e. 7 times, followed by Fisch, J.E; Kahan, M; Nielson, R.P. and Statman, M. cited 5 times each. This study evaluates the Nephrology research output during 2007-2016. The data were downloaded from web of science database which was maintained by Thomson Reuters. Total numbers of records were 4655 with 47, 384 citations and average citations per article was 10.05. Nephrology is the adult and pediatric study of the kidneys and its related diseases. The nephrologists deals with the diagnosis and management of kidney diseases. The kidneys are vital for maintaining normal fluid and electrolyte balance in a body. The collected data were analyzed with the help of 'Bibexcel tool'. Learning is a continuous process and effective learning relates to students' attitudes, feelings and approach towards the subject of learning. To excel in their academic curricula students must acquire, evaluate and use the available information effectively. One of the mandates of today's higher education is to develop a community of students with information literacy (IL) skills while pursuing their education and enable them to further extend it to their future workplace. This paper examines the information literacy competency of post-graduate students of pharmaceutical sciences course at Manipal University, Manipal. The present case study, conducted prior to and after an Information Literacy Instruction (ILI) program at the Health Sciences Library of Manipal University, Manipal, assesses different aspects of information competency for utilization of information resources. Data were collected through a survey prior to IL session and through feedback response at the end of the session (after the session). Structured questionnaires were distributed to all the participants (125) before and after the instruction program. Students' awareness about the library website, availability of types of resources of the library, familiarity with the name of online database in the health sciences field, knowledge about the use of library catalogue, bibliographic databases and open access resources; confidence level related to search skills before and after the ILI and the usefulness of ILI program were assessed during the study.
