This research study aims to find out the research productivity of Nigerian and Indian authors to the library philosophy and practice from 2008 to 2013. The present study also finds the frequency of productivity, author collaboration, papers length, most cited papers, and most references as well as most productive authors. The present research finds the 226 research articles have been contributed by Nigerian authors and 193 papers have been contributed by Indian authors. The highest number of papers has been written by Nigerian authors was 76 in 2010 and from the Indian 60 papers were contributed in 2013. This present study identifies those 114 single authors from Nigeria and 80 from India. 116 papers from Nigerian authors those range 6-10 pages while 57 from India. The total numbers of references were used by Nigerian authors those were 4140 while Indian was used 3243 references from 2008 to 2013. The most productive authors S.Thanuskodi from India who wrote 09 papers and Dike Agah from Nigeria have contributed only 5 papers. The current study conducted to quantify the research contribution of Library and Information Science (LIS) women faculty of India between 1988 and 2018. The study prepared an inclusive list of Indian universities offering LIS education by visiting its official websites individually and collected the names and other details of the LIS women faculties engaged in the teaching profession. The bibliographical data were extracted from the Scopus database during the year 1988-2018. Finally, a total of 146 research articles published by 38 LIS women faculty in India. The core findings of this study were the majority of research works published in journal articles followed by review articles, conference papers, and book chapters respectively. It was also revealed that LIS women faculty of India tend to publish more in an international platform than a national one. Dual authorship found dominating among the LIS women faculty of India. Further study revealed that P. Mahajan was the most productive LIS women faculty of India from Panjab University. The study result suggests that very small portion participations in research contributions as the current study surveyed 129 universities offering LIS education in India. However, many universities do not have a single LIS women faculty. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) can take necessary measures to boost up the research productivity of LIS women faculty of India. The prime purpose of this study is to find out the research productivity of three regions Nigeria, Pakistan, and India. The bibliometric quantification was used to analyze the data. The present research identifies the importance of this online journal. The study discloses frequency of publication growth, author's collaborations, papers length, and most cited papers, most productive authors, and total references used. Design/methodology/approach The survey method was used to find out the full-text research articles on the online database of LPP. The Google scholar was used to retrieve the citations. All the collected data has been analyzed using MS excel and other electronic devices. Findings The results of this study indicate that in the year 2008 to 2013. The contribution of Nigerian authors is more than the other two nations that are 226 while Indian comes 2nd with 193 research papers and Pakistan comes 3rd with 67 research articles from the studied period in the wellknown journal of Library and information science field that is LPP. The present study revealed the majority of the research articles were single authors from Nigeria 114, Pakistan 18, and India 80. The study results show that the majority of the paper length in the range of 6-10 Nigerian 116, Pakistan 34, and India 70 respectively. The study showed the total references were calculated 4140 from Nigeria, 1506 Pakistan, and 3243 from Indian. The most cited paper was retrieved by a Nigerian paper that is 197 citations. The analyzed data shows the most productive authors were Rubina Bhatti from Pakistan with 18 research papers. This study contributes to the existing literature of three-nation contributions to the Library Philosophy and practice throughout the year. This is the first study of three-nation research productivity in the well-known online journal library philosophy and practice. Limitations of the study The present study was limited to the well-known LIS Journal and research articles specifically published at online journal library philosophy and practice. This study is purely limited to the research productivity of Nigerian, Pakistani, and Indian authors to the Library Philosophy and Practice from 2008 to 2013. This study analyses the Eosinophilia research output carried out during the year 1998 - 2017 the different parameters including authorship pattern, growth, Time Series Analysis Degree of Collaboration, Institutions' contribution, most productivity journals were analysed. The overall growth rate of literature output is found to be positive with an increasing trend in Eosinophilia research throughout the study period. Two and more authored papers constitute majority of the contribution and degree of collaboration had a maximum value of 7.14. The research Article presents a Scientometric analyst of research output in India in the field of Greenhouse Effect during the period of 2001 to 2017 as reflected in SCOPUS Database. Collected data for a total of 568 have been published in India in the field of Greenhouse effect and it's analyzed according to objectives. The research paper reveal that the year wise growth of literature in terms of year wise growth in the number of publications, subject areas leading to maximum publications, international affiliations, relative growth rate, doubling time and the individual contributions of authors to name a few and their publication reveals that Tiwari, G.N published highest number of papers 21 (3.70%), Document Wise Distribution show that the most number of documents are of the type article totaling to 395 (69.54%) publications. This study is made an attempt to make the quantitative study of research output on anemia disease. Data of the present study is obtained from Scopus (http://www.scopus.com) online multidisciplinary database for the period 1993-2013.The study reveals that 5085 papers were published during the period under study. The highest number of papers (739) is published in the year 2013 but it received 178 citations only. The minimum number (47) of papers is published in the year of 1996, but they have received 3245 citations. The study reveals that lowest number (0.56%) of citations received in the year 2013. The study also focuses on authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, most productive authors, subject pattern, major collaborative partners in India, most productive journals, active institutions and highly cited papers. This paper analyzes 2542 research publications of the five Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER) published during the last Five years (2010-14), as covered in SCOPUS International database. The study analyses characteristics of these publications such as the publication growth, research impact, national and international collaboration share, contribution and impact of authors and organizations, major areas of research, and preferred channels of research communications and characteristics of higher cited papers. The findings reveal that IISERs publications have witnessed an annual average growth rate of 34.92% and registered an average citation impact per paper of 9.90. About 33.39% and 30.80% of the IISERs publications were involved in national and international collaboration during 2010-14. The major areas of research of IISERs were chemistry, physics & astronomy, materials science and biochemistry, genetics & molecular biology with institutional share of 43.94%, 34.19%, 24.86% and 19.71% during 2010-14. About 153 significant authors of five IISERs individually published 10-60 publications and together they contributed 2446 publications, accounting for 96.22% share in the total output of IISERs during 2010-14. The IISERs published 1102 papers (with 43.35% share in total output) during 2010-14 in top 40 most productive journals with high impact factor varying from 0.72 to 11.36. About 50 high cited papers were published by these five IISERs, which have received 50 and above citations, Among these 50 papers, 41 papers received 50 to 100 citations, 7 papers 101-200 citations, 1 paper 401-500 citations and 1 paper 1001-1100 citations. Objectives: Analyses the Indian publications output in glaucoma research during 2002-11 on several parameters including contribution & citation impact of top most productive countries, India's overall contribution, its growth pattern and citation impact, the share of international collaboration in India's overall research output, contribution of leading countries and identification of leading foreign collaborating partners, Indian contribution & impact of different types of glaucoma, glaucoma research by sub-fields and glaucoma research output by different population age groups, productivity and impact of leading Indian institutions and authors and pattern of communication of Indian output in most productive journals. Methods: The Scopus Citation Database has been used to retrieve the data for 10 years (2002-11) by searching the keywords "glaucoma or intraocular pressure" in combined Title, Abstract and Keywords field. Results: The Indian publications output in glaucoma research consisted of 1078 papers during 2002-11, which increased from 61 papers in 2002 to 207 papers in 2011, witnessing an annual average growth rate of 18.29%. The average citation impact per paper registered by Indian publications in glaucoma research was 3.03 during 2002-11, which decreased from 3.87 during 2002-06 to 2.49 during 2007-11. The international collaborative share of India in overall glaucoma research was 21.06% during 2002-11, which increased from 17.92% during 2002-06 to 23.09% during 2007-11. Conclusions: The glaucoma's irreversibility, lacking of glaucoma specialists and patients unawareness demand for an economic and effective glaucoma diagnosis system for screening. The present study focused on the research publications of women faculty in the field of physics, Astrophysics, Astronomy and Atmospheric Science in India. To collect the data we have covered the women faculty of Central Universities, State Universities, IITs, NITs, IISER's, NISER's, research institutes, laboratories and some selected deemed universities. The first fact we found was that the number of women were very less as compare to male staff. To see the publication productivity of women authors we tried to analyze the year-wise productivity, authorship pattern, preferred journals, place and designation and the research papers received highest citations for the period of five years from 2011- 2015. Year 2014 found to be the most productive year and in authorship pattern, women authors preferred to publish their research in collaboration. This paper explores the Colorectal Cancer research scholarly communications published by Indian researchers based on the data available in web of science database for the period of 12 years (2005-2016); using tools like WoS, MS Excel & Histcite. The analysis revealed that there is an increasing trend in total CRC research publications and majority of the publications are in the form of articles both in case of India and world. Total citations and average citation per paper in case of India also shows increasing trend except in 2009 and 2012. Increasing trend could also be observed in case of international collaborative works between India and rest of the world. India's highest collaborating country is USA 15.6% of the total collaborative works undertaken. The country wise distribution and year wise contributions shows that 50% of world CRC research comes from three countries viz. USA, China and Japan. In terms of funding CRC research work "Council of Scientific & Industrial Research" (CSIR) tops the list with (133) funding's as per the records. Sanyal SN is the most productive author contributing (2.2%) of articles. Authorship pattern shows that 10 and more than 10 authors contributed more papers. Panjab University has the maximum number of publications with 62 records having a Total Local Citation Score 80 and Total Global Citation Score 551. Highest subject wise distribution is Oncology with 386 papers and 31.56% share. Tumor biology is the most preferred journal with (47) 3.9% of the total periodical literature output during the period under study. Most common keywords used by the researchers in their publications are the word "Cancer" with 564 records, followed by the word "Colorectal" with 287 records. Gender disparity is present in many research fields including in Library and Information Science (LIS). This paper studied gender disparity among Indian LIS professionals and measure the intellectual output 20 years. The study reviewed 1,195 publications in the LIS field from 1999 to 2018, determining the gender of the first author. An analysis of the publication list determined the yearly contributions of male and female authors, together with the average distributions, yearly citation rates and other metrics, by gender. Across the whole study period, publications first-authored by men outnumbered those by women. Similarly, overall contributions by men were higher than by women. BM Gupta and M Tripathi were the most prolific male and female authors, respectively. "India" was the most common keyword used by both first author genders. "Bibliometrics", "Digital Library", "Scientometrics", "Academic Libraries", "E-resources" and "web 2.0" were the core research areas of both men and women. When journals were divided into national and international scope, articles by men outnumbered those by women on both levels. However, 65% of the articles published by women were in international journals, compared to 58% of the articles published by men (59% overall), suggesting that the quality of work produced by women was comparable to or higher than the quality of work published by men. Consequently, gender parity in Indian LIS publications may be some way off. The purpose of this article was to explore the pattern of publications, using bibliometric analysis, of Journal of Documentation for the period of 2005 to 2018. The results of the study shows that a total of 687 articles were published in the 14 years period from 2005 to 2018, with 71 (10.3%) articles being published the highest total in the year 2018. The study confirmed that the maximum number of articles i.e. 304 (43.9%), were published by single authors, out of which, a large number were on research articles. Out of total number of articles published 228 (33.1%) were 16-20 pages in length. Volume number 74 in 2018 had the highest number of citations with a total of 91 (13.6%). Purpose: Library and Information Science subject is exceedingly pragmatic in nature in India more than a century old, which is one of the most knowledge producing and knowledge utilizing area and is associated with many of the tool subjects like computer science, statistics, management science etc. Since the subject has a very practical base therefore, both the theory and practice should go side by side. As a knowledge fabricating domain, a lot of researchers, professionals, academicians etc. are profoundly involved in the research. This research work briefly traces the Library and Information Science research stemming from India in the 21st century based on the data as depicted in Indian Citation Index (ICI) during the year 2006 - 2015 which will help the LIS professionals to get aware of the latest and emerging issues in this field. Methodology: A whole of 2,483 bibliographic data set have been retrieved in CSV format from one of the India's national level citation database i.e. Indian Citation Index (ICI) from 2006 to 2015. Methodologically bibliometric tools and techniques have been taken up and descriptive statistics methods were employed. The study also uses fractional counting method. Findings: 2,460 sole Indian LIS researchers have contributed 2,483 research papers in seven diverse categories and amongst them, 90.61% (2250) are research articles. 2015 have been the most productive year by publishing 16.63 % literatures. SRELS, DJLIT, PEARL, IJILS, IASLIC Bulletin, Library Herald and ALIS are the most preferred journals to the LIS professionals for publishing their research works. Most of the works of the researchers has been categorised into 57 micro areas. Out of them, Bibliometrics (14%) is the most significant area for the research fraternity. Other emerging areas of research are the following-User studies, Information technology, digital libraries, library consortia, library automation etc. Many of the literatures have been published in closed access in comparison to open access platform. Examines 2508 publications in Indian pneumonia research, as indexed in Scopus database during 2004-13, witnessing an annual average growth rate of 19.86%, an average citation impact per paper of 2.85 and international collaborative publication share of 14.19%. The global share of Indian pneumonia research was 2.74% during 2004-13, which increased from 1.83% to 3.39% from 2004-08 to 2009-13. Medicine contributed the largest publications share (76.28%) in Indian pneumonia research, followed by pharmacology, toxicology & pharmaceutics (16.27%), biochemistry, genetics & molecular biology (13.12%), immunology & microbiology (7.19%) and chemistry (3.99%) during 2004-13. This study analyses the Indian Scientists contributions of research papers related to the topic in Data Mining was undertaken from Web of Science Databases has been used to retrieve the data for 22 years (1999-2020) by the searching the keyword "Data Mining". The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journals; as such 88.59% of articles were published in journals. More numbers of articles were published in the year 2019. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 1096 literature published, 95.53 % of the publication published under the joint author. It is observed that author productivity is not in agreement with Lotka's law, but productivity distribution data partially fits the law when the value of Chi-square to 25212.62. Objectives: Nephrology is one the complicated diseases of the human body. This study tries to focus the scholarly communications of Nephrology which were indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) from the Web of Science (WoS) bibliometric database and to observe various elements in terms of yearly growth, author productivity, document, language, institution, geographical, most productive keywords, collaborative index (CI), degree of collaboration (DC) and many more characteristic features during the study period. Method: The data were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection database by using the keywords as topic 'Nephrology' and refined by 'countries /Territories' (India) and the time span from 2011 to 2016 indexed in SCI-Expanded. All the records during the period of study have been downloaded completely from the Web of Science online database. The researcher has applied percentage analysis and average score analysis as the basic tools. Apart from the above the specific bibliometric statistical tools such as Collaborative index, Degree of Collaboration, R2 value and Mean, Standard Deviation, C.V and softwares such as HistCite, VOS Viewer have also been applied. Results:The study revealed that the degree of collaboration ranges from 0.79 to 0.91 and the average degree of collaboration is 0.86. The American Journal of Kidney Diseases was ranked first (global citation score) 1101 (5.5%), The Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation is in the second rank (global citation score) 765 (5.5%). The results showed that the range of collaborative index is from 0.15 to 0.19 between 2011 and 2016. The maximum range of collaborative index is 0.19 in 2011. USA has been placed with 845 research output and the percentage rate is 32.2 and also the global citation score is 5306 and has got the first place based on the record count and followed by Italy. Conclusion: Scientometric analysis computes to a scientific publication which has highlighted the contribution of institutions, journals, and individual researchers. It can be concluded that the highest (19.5%) number of papers was published in 2014. The USA has maximum number of literature output, and ranked the first. The percentage of multi- authored research output was more than that of single-authored. The pattern of collaborative index was evaluated and the maximum range of collaborative index was 0.19 in the years 2011 respectively. It is concluded that the scholarly communications in Nephrology have been increasing year by year at a substantial rate. The paper reveals the scientific productivity pattern of authors in the field of Astronomy & Astrophysics research in India and applicability of Lotka's law in the literature of Astronomy & Astrophysics for the given data set. Data was retrieved from WoS database for this study, a total of 6,363 papers has been published by 2,719 authors during 2013-2017 in straight count of the authorship. Examining the Lotka's Inverse square (n=2) method as well as general power method (n≠2), (calculating the value of 'n' with observed data) was used to test the applicability of Lotka's law. Goodness of fit test - Chi-Square test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) test was also used to measure the viability of Lotka's law in the field of Astronomy & Astrophysics research in India. The productivity distribution didn't fit when Lotka's law was applied in generalized form as well as in its original form on the data set. Academic libraries play a key role in encouraging literacy and cultural interest in students, staff and the community. In the present-day world, theft and vandalism has become very common and a severe problem in academic college libraries. This research paper mainly deals with work of the library professionals in investigating the book theft, vandalism, mutilation activities, and planning polices to control these malicious activities. A structured online questionnaire was prepared for the college librarians to the gather data for the research study. The research data was collected from forty library professionals. Insufficient copies of text books are the main cause for vandalism agreed upon by the majority 85% of the respondents. 80% of the library professionals mentioned to have CCTV installation which can reduce malpractices in the libraries As per the research study 100% of respondents agree that by conducting orientation program, checking the requirements of the patrons, providing the necessary resources required by them, by using wire mesh for windows and having a single way for entry and exit will help in combating vandalistic activities in the academic libraries. Purpose: This paper makes a broad investigation on the libraries of universities in Gujarat, India. The paper features the job of library experts in checking book robbery, mutilation, vandalism, and planning strategy to control and beat the issue in scholastic libraries. This examination additionally explores the security challenges in the libraries of universities. The investigation expects to distinguish the causes and defenselessness of book burglary, mutilation and vandalism and the weakness of library arrangements and safety efforts. Methodology: The examination depends on information got through the dispersion of survey in the colleges of Gujarat to know the present circumstance of library and the familiarity with library experts in regards to human/man-made security. It was an organized survey planned for gathering information from the library experts in Gujarat, India. Findings: The percentage of weakness is less than 50% for unsecured windows, multiple entries/exits, and untrained library staff and unfamiliarity with proper security techniques. Most of the libraries have CCTV cameras, but very few libraries have RFID systems. More than 74% libraries take inventory regularly, fifty percentage data received that librarians' workplace under lock and key system and 87% libraries operate by single door entry-exit. This study also aware the libraries regarding the upgraded and viable security through sufficient enrollment, preparing, library strategy and selection of innovation like CCTV and RFID. Research Limitation: This study has been carried out on only academic libraries of Gujarat state in India from the perspectives of human/manmade security. Practical implications: The important result in this study is that the enough text books is required to reduce the theft. Library have to change the rules of circulation and increase the loan period for books. Unawareness also observed from student side and at the time of examination they are suffer for the library books. Many libraries are not implemented grills on widow for security purpose. Library policy have to update as per the requirement and implementation is also necessary to control human security. Objective - The aim of this paper is to reveal the trend of public library research in India. Public libraries are considered as an imperative institution to provide information and to spread knowledge within the rural and urban settings, therefore a closure examination on public libraries is necessary in order to know the researches going on in these libraries. This paper is thus intent to investigate the year wise researches on public library, core areas of public library in which researches are done, keyword analysis by using zipf's law, supervising pattern, university wise ranking in contribution of public library research and trend of public library research in the upcoming future. Methodology - The data has been collected from Shodhganga: a reservoir of Indian theses hosted by INFLIBNET centre. Different key words like public library, public library services, community information service, information seeking behavior, public library collection etc. has been used to retrieve the data. In total 71 theses has been retrieved from the year 1977 to 2016. The data thus collected has been put into Ms-excel sheet and arranged according the requirement of the present study. Findings - This study reveals that the highest number of contribution in public library research has been done in the year 2013 with 7 number of thesis. The keywords like library, public, study, development etc are mostly used in the title of the theses. From zipf's law, rank and frequency of words have been calculated. Tridib Tripathi from Burdwan University has guided the highest number of theses during the study period. Karnataka University ranked first by contributing highest number of theses on public library from 1977 to 2016 and solo guided researches are more predominant than jointly guided research. The paper aims to analyze the information needs of Indian Members of Parliament (MPs) related to the rural and urban development in their constituency or region. Rural Connectivity is a key component of the rural development, thus the current study explores the level of awareness of Indian MPs about the status of rural connectivity with the Urban areas and rural accessibility via various means of Transport available for the people in their region/constituency for Intercity and Interstate Travel. The implementation of various Government schemes for the development of rural India by the Indian MPs has also been studied. The data is collected through survey methodology with the help of a predefined structured questionnaire including interview method to get the exact insight about the rural and urban development information needs of Indian MPs. The survey results were tabulated and analyzed with the help of descriptive statistical methods and hypothesis testing is done with Pearson's Chi Square testing technique. The findings reveals that the majority of people use Auto Rickshaw (98.7%) and Taxi (98.7%) followed by Rickshaw (93.6%) for local travelling in their area or region. The major modes of transportation available in the constituencies are Bus (100%) & Rail (97.4%) respectively. The majority of MPs have implemented 'Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana' (i.e. 94.9%) and 'Pradhan Mantri Aawaas Yojna' (i.e. 89.5%) in the villages/rural areas of their constituencies. The majority of MPs have responded that HDFC Bank is the Top loan provider agency in both Rural (23) and Urban (24) areas respectively. Lastly, the study concludes that highest number of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Aawaas Yojna (PMAY) are from North region (i.e., 4,01,100) of India followed by 2,78,920 beneficiaries from Central region and 2,45,600 beneficiaries respectively from South region. The developments in information technology have brought e-journals as a boon to research community, which are becoming a major source for scholarly communication. As e-journal is a journal available online or offline containing research papers, review articles, scholarly communications. The paper is an attempt to examine the contents of National Law university library website, that has been carried on the twenty national law universities in India. The content available on the website was analysed according to a framework designed to meet the objectives of the study. The data was collected from the websites of universities during March 2017 to May 2017 that has been ranked using a rating scale. Analysis reveals that NLUO ranks the top most among all the national law universities in India followed by NLSIU, RMLNLU, NALSAR, NLSJA and WBNUJS. This study carried out the scientometric analysis of road traffic accident research in India from 1977 to 2020. It aimed to examine type of publications with their citations and usage, the year wise publication and citation growth, most preferred journals, authors' preference of keywords used, collaboration of Indian authors, authorship pattern and most prolific authors, and top contributing organizations. During 44 years of study, 1,132 research items were published and indexed in Web of Science (WoS) bibliographic database. Analysis discovered that number of publications increased from one (0.08%) in 1977 to 182 (16.07%) in 2018 and observed good progress in scholarly literature. Majority of scholarly publications were published in the form of article (740, 65.37%). From 2006 to 2018, number of publications increased rapidly from 11 (0.97%) to 182 (16.07%) publications, which was the most productive year for the researchers. On an average 25.73 documents were published per year and received 392.95 citations per year. Journal of Evaluation of Medical and Dental Sciences published majority of the publications (108, 30.50%). The word "Trauma" was the most frequently used keyword. Majority of publications (83.38%) on road traffic accidents (RTA) were written by the Indian authors individually or with local collaboration. Majority of the publications (1,081, 95.49%) were written by multiple authors while 51 publications (4.51%) were from single author. Most prolific authors were Tiwari, G. and Mohan, D. with 18 publications each. The Indian Institute of Technology was highly contributing organization, which published 120 documents (10.60%). Present paper attempts to provides the overview of the contributions made by the central universities of India to the open access repository namely Shodhganga. There are in total 46 central universities in India as listed in UGC website out of which only 25 are sharing their research outputs to Shodhganga or are the ones which have signed MoU with Shodhganga. The purpose of this paper is to ascertain the awareness and use of cloud computing technologies among the library professionals in the Kerala University Library system, India. A survey was conducted using questionnaire among the 102 library professionals employed in the central and departmental libraries of the University of Kerala. The study revealed that 42.16% of the library professionals did not have much idea about cloud computing technology. Analysis showed that Facebook and Google Apps like Gmail, Google Doc etc are the cloud computing technologies used by majority of the respondents. It is also worth to note that the library professionals in Kerala University Library are using cloud computing technologies without being aware of doing so. Library professionals' awareness of cloud service models is relatively very low. Web OPAC and Journal Discovery Service are the areas known to the respondents in applying cloud computing technologies in libraries. Out of 102 respondents, 14.71% of the library professionals in the University of Kerala have average skill in using these technologies. Institutional Repositories (IRs) are established mainly to provide access to information resources which are otherwise not easily accessible in digital format. Many institutions across the world and particularly in India have successfully developed their own IRs but have not attempted to assess their importance and impact on the Users. This study conveys the findings of the survey conducted at research centric CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) laboratories of India to determine the scientists' and research scholars' preference for publishing their research materials; to measure the impact of IRs on their scholarly practices and to recommend future changes for inviting more participation in an IR. The study deduced that 'Peer- Review scholarly Journals' are preferred medium for publishing research content and 'Increase in the access to grey literature' is the most significant impact of IR on respondents. The findings of this research paper provide insight to the IR managers and administrators of low-deposit and low-usage repositories about the contributors' apprehensions. Total 1195 open access papers published and indexed in Scopus database in ten years have considered for the present study. The purpose of this study is to examine the information literacy regarding the library resources among the postgraduate students at Aligarh Muslim University, and to know their basic needs of information and information search strategies in the library as well as in web based resources. The present study selects the descriptive survey method and covers 329 postgraduate students of five selected faculties e.g. Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Social Science at AMU. The questionnaire discusses their information searching strategies on OPAC, their search engine preference, awareness of e-resources, level of information literacy skill, needs of information literacy skill etc. The paper reveals that most of the students are aware of the information sources which are available in the library. "Google" is the most popular search engine to the students. Through this study, the investigators find that there are some valuable suggestions which are made by the users according to their need to improve their information literacy skill such as motivational lectures, workshops, conferences, symposium, project based learning, and online literacy programme. This study may be considered as a unique one which brings out the current status of information literacy skills among the PG students at AMU. Purpose This work aimed at demonstrating India's scientific contribution on Covid-19 research and analyzes the emerging research pattern using various bibliometric parameters. Design/methodology/approach Indian publications data on Covid-19 research were retrieved from SCOPUS database using structured query. VOSviewer & CiteSpace data visualization tools are used to generate citation, co-citation map and keyword clusters for better understanding of the research pattern. The leading institutions, most productive journal, prominent researchers are identified and analyzed further to reflect the collaborative nature. Key Findings Between January to September, 2020, a total of 3465 research documents were published pertaining to Covid-19. A larger share of the documents published in domain of Medicine 2185 (67.44%) followed by Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology 532(16.42%) and Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceutics 232(7.16%). The 'Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome Clinical Research and Reviews' publish maximum research document 102(2.94%). Dr. V Wiwanitkit found to be the most prolific contributor while AIIMS, New Delhi has become the leading institution in producing the maximum research 266(7.68%). The main concern of this study is to conduct an evaluation of Bengali newspaper websites from West Bengal, Tripura and Assam in India based on the eight Alexa indexes from Alexa Internet. A total of 30 Bengali newspaper websites are selected from web directory of world newspapers, magazines, news sites, and newspaper publishers (w3newslive.com) for evaluation in the present study. Each newspaper websites were searched in Alexa databank and relevant data using Alexa indices including traffic rank (India and Global), pages viewed, links, bounce percentage, time on site, search percentage, and percentage of Indian/foreign users were collected. The collection of data were tabulated and analysed to disclose findings in accordance with the desired objectives of this study. Based on data obtained from Alexa Internet tools, the results of this study show that Ei Samay Sangbadpatra and Anandabazar Patrika have the highest traffic rank. Rashtriyo Khobor Bangla Dainik has the highest number of average pages viewed per day and estimated daily time spent on site by the visitors. Ei Samay Sangbadpatra has the maximum number of links. Aajkal has the highest reach amongst the global internet users; whereas Puber Kalom has the lowest bounce percentage. The highest percentage of visits that came from search engines is for Gati Dainik. The highest number of foreign users is for Aajkal Patrika. India is the second most populous country in the world. It has 29 states and 7 union territories. The state of West Bengal with nineteen districts has a well-established public library system. The present study covers the district of Murshidabad which has 160 public libraries, in total. Significantly, three categories of public libraries namely rural library, town/sub-division library and district library exists in whole district. Covering 21 public libraries with representation of all categories of libraries, the present work aims to study the collection development of material. Data for the present study has been collected through well-structured questionnaire. Study also highlights the various aspects which contributed in building collection in studied libraries. Precisely, these are donation from Member of Legislative Assembly, donation from Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation, complimentary copies from the authors, etc. Findings suggest that no-uniform growth has been witnessed in surveyed libraries. Purpose -The purpose of this paper is to investigate the present status of RFID application, benefits realised after implementing RFID, problems faced during RFID adoption and its implementation in the libraries and information centres of Northern India. Design/methodology/approach - The survey method of research was adopted in this research. In order to assess the required information about the implementation of RFID technology from the librarian/Incharge of the library of the nine selected institutions of Northern India, the data was collected through a questionnaire method. Moreover, the respondents were also interviewed to obtain more information. Findings - The present study shows that all the selected libraries in Northern India are in the initial stages of RFID implementation and they are realizing the benefits of its implementation which include reduction in queue at circulation desk /counter, extended hours of circulation without additional staff, library collection has become more secure, etc. At the same time, library staff is facing some problems with the use of RFID technology. Research limitations/implications - The present study is limited to the Central, State and Deemed universities recognised by the UGC and IITs situated in Northern region of India which have implemented RFID in their libraries. Further, due to time and cost restrictions, it was not possible to cover all type of institutions. Practical implications - It is hoped that the outcome of the present study will give some useful suggestions/recommendations to the librarians who have implemented RFID technology in terms of its better utilisation and at the same time, it will also help the librarians who want to implement RFID system in their libraries. Social implications - Across the world, university libraries are increasingly adopting and implementing RFID solutions to provide better and efficient library services such as self checkout/check-in of library materials, security of library books and efficient tracking of library materials throughout the library. As a small number of libraries in India have introduced RFID, it is high time to study the application of RFID technology in libraries, keeping in view its problems and benefits. Originality/value -After an extensive review of literature, it was found that only a few studies related to the use of RFID in Indian libraries has been undertaken so far. This research study was primarily designed to study the work-life balance of women library professionals in the metropolitan city of Pune in India from Maharashtra State. The primary purpose of the study is to explore the tough challenges faced by women librarians in maintaining a balance between their personal and professional life during the pre and post covid period. The study has examined various factors affecting the work-life balance of the respondents during the pre and post covid period using the quantitative research design. Further, the use of the survey research method and snowball sampling technique for the data collection purpose where the sample of 30 women librarians is been studied during the pre-covid period, the method of convenience sampling is utilized to get the responses of the respondents using the unstructured interview technique the virtual model. The study concluded that there is a high level of stress (66%) among the women librarian respondents during the post covid period due to work and life balance factors, 70% of librarians mentioned the increased workload due to a changed focus for increased online subscriptions and more electronic media acquisitions, and the pressure for upgradation. The study has observed that about 46 % of women library professionals giving time for self-attention, and 43% of women librarians are exercising daily; indicating the need to give self-attention. Purpose: The main purpose of the study is to discover the information needs of Maharaja Bir Bikram college library users along with their information seeking behaviour and also establish the existing library scenario of the college. Objectives: To identify the information needs and searching behaviour of concerned college library users. And to discover the obstacles faces by the users while seeking information and provide appropriate suggestions to overcome the situation and to find out the level of user satisfaction. Methodology: For the present study a survey was conducted on Maharaja Bir Bikram College library users by the use of simple random sampling method with a set of questionnaire includes 15 questions. The primary data were collected from 301 respondents and the secondary data were gathered from previously published relevant literature. Collected data were presented in tabular form and Microsoft excel was used to analysed the data. Findings: The findings showed that maximum number of students visit library for access books to achieve academic success. It also discovered that most of the students are not aware about library collections and services as well as library e-resources therefore they preferred print materials as first choice. Problems faces by the respondents are nonavailability of updated study materials, shortage of information searching skill, lack of cooperation from library staff, shortage of current information sources. The present research study is a snapshot of the influence and use of e-resources by the patrons of Engineering and Medical Colleges in the state of Goa. Living in the digital era, e-resources are increasingly important to all aspects of education from learning to teaching. The study aims at exploring the boundless influence of e-resources on the patrons, the use and needs and also the availability of e-resources in the libraries of medical and engineering colleges in Goa. The data for the study is gathered from 960 users which comprised of students and faculty. The exploration discovered that the use of e-resources in these two fields are increasing. E-resources provide incredible benefits and have a boundless influence over the minds of the patrons. It is also ascertained that there are a number of areas of good practices and innovative utilization of e-Resources for teaching and learning. The study suggested that Librarians have to take information literacy programs for users at regular intervals to develop searching capabilities of the patrons. The study proved that majority of the patrons (89%) is aware of the various types of E-Resources available in their field. Rural development focuses on improving the living condition of people living in relatively isolated, sparsely populated areas by proving minimum basic needs to the rural people through the implementation of various developmental programs. For successful implementation of development programs, active participation of the people is needed at every stage of the development process. However, these areas have very less chances of connection from the rest of the country and have no or poor means of getting information of the outside world. Therefore, there is a need to find out the preferred and effective information communication sources and channels of the rural people for their active participation and successful implementation of the various development schemes and programs. The study is based on the secondary data compiled by the Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Govt., of India for the period 2012-13, 2013-14 & 2014-15 and was released as the ranking list of Institutes of Engineering and Technology in India for the year 2016. The study aims to assess the Returns on Investment (ROI) of the twenty leading libraries of the Institutes of Engineering and Technology in India in the form of institutional research output. An attempted has also been made to rank the each individual library on the basis of seven different parameters chosen for the study and worked out the difference between their ascribed rank as per the MHRD list and the achieved ranks worked out on the basis of chosen. The rankings have been calculated on the basis of scores earned by each individual library against each individual parameter. The results showed that the Institutes of Engineering and Technology in India concentrate more on procurement of electronic resources in their libraries, spending nearly three-fourth of their budget on the procurement of electronic documents mostly in the form of online journals and eBooks. While evaluating the ascribed and achieved ranking, 95% libraries under study faced shuffle, as 55% libraries slipped in their rank, while as 45 % improved and 5% showed no change. The purpose of the study is to investigate the ICT skills of LIS professionals working in the college libraries affiliated to the University of Delhi and bring inferences for the betterment of the library. In the present study, the data was collected from the respondents through a structured questionnaire using survey method. The questionnaires were distributed among 60 LIS professionals of various college libraries affiliated to the University of Delhi through online and personal meetings, eliciting a response of 100 per cent. A five-point Likert scale was used to measure the ICT skills of the respondents. Findings of the study reveal that the majority of the LIS professionals have basic knowledge of ICT skills to manage the libraries with the exception in some areas such as dealing with the operating system and software. The study has provided an insight to meet the changing needs of users by learning ICT skills/competencies in the digital era. In totality, the results provide emphasis on the necessity of ICT skill for efficient delivery of library services for the betterment of the library as a whole. This present study will help the authorities of the University of Delhi to include courses in ICT skills in the academic/professional curriculum which would help the working LIS professionals to become competent in various skills. The purpose of the study is to analyze various features and functions of Library and Information Science (LIS) Blogs in India with the help of specially designed evaluation checklist and ranked them based on features/functions. A structured evaluation checklist contains 110 dichotomous questions, categorized in three broad categories. The findings of the study explore different features of LIS blogs which reveals that three of the blogs i.e. Library and Information Science Friends (LIS Friends), The Co-Professionals LIS and Library Soup has the highest scored among the seven studied LIS blogs. The LIS blogs under study are behind exploiting the optimum potential of facilities provided by blogspot.com. Moreover, mobile apps and social networking site features are some of the area that needs to focus on. It is hoped that lower ranked LIS blog will attend to the lacunae and soon upgrade the LIS blog wherever it lacks, particularly using mobile technologies. The findings of the study will not only help the LIS students and research scholars to understand the features/functions of LIS blogs but also help them in better using and finding the LIS information successfully. The present study attempted to know the status of job placement & internship activity held in LIS schools /colleges in Maharashtra state of India. The survey found to be most suitable method for present study. The LIS teachers of all universities and affiliated colleges that offer library science course in Maharashtra were considered as a population of the study. It was observed that half of the universities/colleges responded to the questionnaire have separate job placement cell. It was revealed that all dept/colleges receive job requests for students through telephone. It was observed that nearly all (14) respondents receives job request from their Ex-students who are working at higher positions in various libraries. It was revealed that only 5 respondents arrange campus interview if there is such demand by the employer. It was generally observed that IT skills were most in demand as mentioned in almost all job descriptions of job requests received by respondents. It was observed that all respondents recommended their students to join mailing forum/lists to get informed about job advertisements.
