The article discusses the development of databases from paper-based to web-based. The role that web-based databases (WBDB) has in producing better and more relevant information retrieval is examined. According to the article, a database is a collection of data that is organized for optimum storage and access. A WBDB is an organized listing of web pages. The history of databases originate in office automation efforts by companies such as International Business Machines Corporation and others in the 1960s and the 1970s. The client/server databases, which are the basis for WBDBs, are considered. WBDBs functionality, search features, and the components of developing and maintaining them are discussed.

Emerging new technologies, especially the way information technology is changing, have a big impact on many parts of people's lives. For example, modern social media platforms have changed how people interact, share information and talk to each other. Social media (SM) is becoming more and more useful as a way to improve communication and knowledge sharing (KS), not just between people but also between businesses. This trend has been closely watched by both professionals and academics. Even though research in this area is growing quickly and in a big way, there haven't been many attempts to look at the results of past surveys, put them together, and evaluate the current state of research on how social media can be used to share knowledge. We used a bibliometric and Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to collect and review studies (46 documents and, after being edited, 16 publications) by following a set review process. This was done to make sure that the Scopus database had copies of all relevant research papers that were released between 2016 and 2020. Most of the terms have to do with social media and sharing information. Some of the most popular keywords in the study are: knowledge sharing, social media, knowledge management, information management, decision making, gamification, industry work, social dilemmas, hospitality industry, communication industry, etc. Denmark is at the top of the list when it comes to getting top awards. We did this for a wide range of study topics, such as SM for KS user behavior, utility and benefits, social media platforms and tools, and other topics that don't get much attention. The SRELS Journal of Information Management has been playing vital role in the library and information science field since last fifty years. This paper presents the results of a bibliometric study of articles with a gender viewpoint from 2007-2017. The aim of the study is to examine the journal during the period 2007-2017 using bibliometric indicators with a gender perspective. The pattern of research output in 606 publications is analyzed in which 435(71.78%) articles are contributed by male authors and 171(28.21%) by female authors. The degree of collaboration in the publications of the journal is 0.66. Most of the articles i.e. (52.31%) are two authored articles. The male and female distribution by professional category indicates large number of contributing authors belonged to non-teaching category i.e. 389 out of which 292 (67.12%) are male authors and 97 (56.72%) female authors. Maximum number i.e. 222 (36.6%) contributions are under male-male authorship pattern followed by 153(25.2%) male solo papers. Citation study showed that 120 cited articles received 215 citations. Male authors contributed maximum number of articles in the subject category "bibliometrics analysis" whereas females authored large number of articles on the topic "use studies". Background and objective: One of the approaches to represent scientific publications in a field of science is to determine research trends and hot topics. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the research trends on the Library and Information Science (LIS) in the Scopus database during 2011-2020 and specify the hot topics in this field from July 2020 to July 2021. Materials and Methods: This study used scientometric techniques. The research population consisted of all papers in the field of LIS from July 2011 to July 2021. The data were collected from the Scopus database. The results were limited to 2011-2020 for determining the research trends in the field of LIS and from July 2020 to July 2021 for specifying the hot topics in this field. Data were analyzed using the word co-occurrence and social network analysis techniques, and UCINet, NetDraw, and VOSviewer software were used to draw scientific maps and identify core topics and individuals. Results: The keywords "Systematic Review" (frequency=531) and "Bibliometrics" (frequency=51) had the highest and lowest frequencies, respectively. "Libraries and information technology" (n=151), "research methods" (n=70), and "databases" (n=23) were the three important topic clusters in the study area, in which the United States, China, and the United Kingdom were the three most active countries, respectively. The Department of Library and Information Science, University of London, with 71 documents, and the Department of Information Management, University of Punjab, with 55 documents, had the most significant contribution of article publication among the influential institutions. Moreover, Zhang, Yut, and Wang, Liying each with 27 documents, and Li, Xiano with 24 documents were three active and influential authors in this field. In addition, "systematic review", "diffusion pattern", and "bibliometric" were also three hot topics. Conclusion: This study revealed that the orientation of the LIS research is going from traditional topics toward novel and emerging technologies. The paper discusses the Research Pattern and Publications trend on Information Management (IM) during 2000-2019. The data will be taken to analyze by Web of Science (WoS) database from Clarivate analytics for purpose of study during period. It has analysed the highest 441 (9.04%) of the publications appeared in the year 2018, it followed by, 423(8.67%) and 401(8.22%) of the publications have brought out in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Highest RGR observed that 1.277 and lowest 0.022 in 2019 and 2011 respectively. The majority 75.6 % of the publications appeared as Journal articles, it followed by 6.95% of the publications occupy Meeting abstract, others 6.27%, 6.13%, 6.09%, 3.45% of the publications witnessed by Proceeding papers, Book Review, Editorial Material and review respectively. There are twenty authors have been ranked in the study, 30 (0.61%) of the publications do not find name of authors, it seems that anonymous authors hold the majority of the publications in the series. 1464 (30.18%) of the publications records contributed from USA, which one among the top country in terms distribution of more contribution in the field of information Management. Research funding organizations understand the importance of infrastructure and services to organize and preserve research data. Academic research libraries have been identified as locations in which to base these research data management services. Research data management services include data management planning, digital curation (selection, preservation, maintenance, and archiving), and metadata creation and conversion. However, some libraries are beginning to provide structure for research data management services. These services are starting to record some degree of success as local data policies are being formulated. The aim of this paper, therefore, is to discuss the importance of research data management in the academic libraries in Nigeria. The article summarized the research data management life cycle to include: data creation; data collection and description, data storage; data archiving and preservation; data access; data discovery and analysis, and data reuse and transformation. The paper further identified research data management tools and applications, which include DMPonline, Data Asset framework, Collaborative Assessment of Research Data Infrastructure and Objectives (CARDIO), and Curation cost exchange. Specifically, the paper examines some skills requirements for research data management in academic libraries. Some of the challenges facing effective research data management services identified by this paper include technology obsolescence, technology fragility; Lack of guidelines on good practice; Inadequate financial and human resources to manage data well, and Lack of evidence about best infrastructures. Very simply, research is the systematic investigation to explore new knowledge for scientific achievement. The present paper focuses on the basic technical issues of efficient research skills and highlights the librarians' competencies for research support of Bangladesh for guiding researchers for conducting successful research and ensuring a better work environment to do research. This paper mainly explores the proper referencing and citations, submission of manuscript in impact journals, find out predatory journals and selection for publishing articles in open access journals. This study also highlights the use and impact of various online databases such as Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus in order to explore citation status, h index and research performance of an individual author, country and institution. The study also investigates the role of the library in addressing present and future challenges to bridge technical issues of conducting research in Bangladesh. An attempt has been made to identify the major problems for submission manuscripts in high impact journals and to indicate some possible solutions for developing research information management systems, and efforts to improve training and support for researchers to enhance the research productivity of researchers in Bangladesh. This paper presents findings of a Master of Philosophy Degree in Information Sciences that was undertaken to assess medical records management (MRM) in support of evidencebased medical practices at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) with a view of proposing strategies to improve MRM in the hospital. Data was collected through interviews conducted with health records and information management officers, a system administrator, admission clerks, doctors, clinical officers, and nurses drawn from four departments that create and generate; use; and manage medical records (MR). Preliminary findings indicate that KTRH faced several challenges in the management of MR that impact the provision of health care based on reliable evidence. The challenges that were identified included an absence of comprehensive MRM policies and procedural frameworks, and there was a scarcity of MRM knowledge and skill at the hospital. Although the hospital has adopted the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the provision of healthcare, MRM processes were partially automated. The study concluded that the general status of MRM at KTRH was inadequately positioned to manage MR as a strategic evidence resource in a continuum from creation to disposition, and therefore requires urgent attention. The study recommends that for the MRM at KTRH to succeed, the hospital needs to integrate MRM functional, structural and infrastructural aspects into the hospital's health information system (HIS) and business process, and continuously manage these MR in line with the Records Continuum Model and best-practice strategies proposed by this study. The hospital should also develop operational policies and procedural frameworks for MRM, build MRM capacity and provide MRM knowledge and skill to staff; improve on its ICT infrastructure and integration of MRM functionalities; and the adoption of the proposed study recommendation. The purpose of this paper is to observe how employees of academic library administration are developing and how they comply with the internal quality assurance policy (IQA) regarding pre-implementation of the integrated repository (IR). We are interested in information practices of administration staff in the scope of cooperation and open communication with the management staff and external entities. We have studied the role of the current information practices in the successful implementation of IR at the university by academic librarians. We used the method of participant observation and unstructured interviews supported by BPMN modelling (Business Process Model and Notation) and desk research analysis. Our analysis was conducted according to the processes of collective mindfulness and the strategy of anticipating the unexpected proposed by Aanestad and Jensen (2016) but with the emphasis on a tender procedure for purchase order in the pre-implementation of IR by the library at [INSTITUTION] University. We have noticed that before the actual integration of existing information systems into one coherent IR begins, the employees want to make the most of their knowledge and experience to make the implementation process successful. They try to interfere in the purchase order procedure as much as possible to start a technical dialogue with the companies that would be implementing the system at the university. This paper reports an examination of effective serials management practices in some academic libraries in Niger state. The study specifically investigated the types of serial materials in the libraries. It also examined the acquisition methods as well as methods applied in organizing serial materials in the studied libraries. Challenges bedeviling effective management of serial information sources also form the objective. The study further made a review from different sources on management of serials in libraries. The population of the study consisted of twenty three (23) staff manning the serials units of the affected libraries. Questionnaire and observation check-list were used as the instruments for data collection. 23 copies of questionnaire and observation check-list were distributed, filled and completely (100%) returned for data analysis. Descriptive statistics of frequency and percentages was used for data analysis. The study revealed that Newspapers, magazines and academic journals are the major serial materials available in the academic libraries. Direct purchase from book vendors, Constant subscription of physical serials and online databases were the main methods applied in acquiring serials in the libraries. It discovered that shelving and shelf reading, carding among other were the organizational techniques adopted by the libraries. Paucity of funds, Inadequate ICT facilities as well as inadequate working tools was the factors bedeviling effective serials management in the libraries. The study thus recommended among others that adequate funds be allocated to the libraries, online subscription be enhanced, conducive working environment for library personnel, independent power sources be provided to the academic libraries. Purpose: To simplify working with and sharing research data, researchers want infrastructures that provide the highest level of accessibility, stability, and reliability. The Harvard Dataverse Project (HDP) (https://dataverse.org/) is compiling a growing list of such infrastructures. In this regard, the objective of this paper is to provide an overview through an analysis of the activities of the Dataverse website in managing research data. Design/ Methodology/ Approach: The study examines the statistics systems and other critical resources concerning upload and use the dataverse/ datasets/ files upto October 2022. This includes the creation of dataverse, category of dataverse, uploaded total datasets, file downloads trend, publication of dataverse or datasets, most approachable subject to share and browse data, the most recommended file type of research data and access level of research data. The basic resources include top metadata sources and data citation standards of dataverse project. Findings: It is noted that behaviours associated with structured study outcomes are more evident in developed countries as opposed to developing countries according to top author affiliation which is from the USA. The findings also show that research data in Medicine, Health, and Life Sciences is more uploaded and structured, whereas data in Social Sciences is more browsed and structured. Overall, the generation of dataverses, datasets, files, their downloads, and publication dataset is on the rise. The maximum contribution of data developers is found as Master, Daniel M. and Stager, Lawrence E whereas research project category and data and image file format are seen as highly used to organize data. On the dataverse website, good citation standards are being noticed, as well as the fact that 97 percent of data are available to reuse because contributors waive their copyright licences under CC0. Indian Research Information Network System (IRINS) is a research information management system that provides details of publications and citations by researchers in academic and research institutes in India. It is an undisputed fact that the productivity of researchers is not uniform within and beyond institutions. A quantitative study was formulated to compare the productivity of researchers within and between categories of central university, state university, deemed university, private university, and college. The coefficient of variation (C.V.) and coefficient of range (C.R.) was measured to know about dispersions among data of publications, patents, Scopus citations, and Crossref citations. It was found that central universities and state universities have a higher number of publications and citations whereas colleges have less number of the same. Private universities have less number of publications, however better than colleges in case of citations. Deemed universities have the highest dispersions within the group. It is suggested to increase subscriptions of quality resources in the colleges and private universities and upgrade library services to enhance the quality and quantity of publications by researchers there. Introduction-This paper discussed the need of performance audit through LibQUAL+ technique in University Library users in West Bengal, India. LibQUAL+ Technique is developed by Association of Research Libraries (ARL) in the year 2000. It is a suite of services that libraries use to solicit, track, understand, and act upon users' opinions of service quality. In this paper, an attempt has been made to measure the performance of Burdwan University Library and Visva-Bharati Library Users through LibQUAL+ technique. Comparative study of each dimension that is Library as a Place (LP), Information Control (IC) and Affect of Service (AS), Adequacy Gap (AG), Superiority Gap (SG) and Zone of Tolerance has been determined. This technique has been applied to know what library users saying about the performance of the library. Methods-To conduct of this study a large variety of data-gathering and analysis techniques have been adopted such as surveys, interviews, observations, etc. of the users of both the libraries. Findings-Visva-Bharati Library (VBL) performs better in all respect than Burdwan University Library (BUL) specially overall library performance of VBL (3.20 mean score) where as BUL (3.34 mean score) in West Bengal, India. Suggestions-Library authority should concentrate whether minimum service levels are available to users, what their desired service levels are but what they are getting (perceived) at this moment. Faculty, scholars and students opinion (feedback & suggestions) regarding library services have to take regular interval i.e. quarterly, half-yearly or yearly. Besides that, authority of university library should always promote introduction of new services to the academic community through notification as well as put it library website or university website. The paper uses a bibliometric analysis explore citations trend of ethnomedicine and information management, and text mining algorithm of a total number of 8, 333 publications (n = 8,333) were conducted based on the title, abstract and keywords to find co-occurrence of key terms in indigenous medicine and information management. The objectives of this study were to first, analyze the authorship, outputs and citation trend and to find out if researchers have been able to establish a nexus between indigenous herbal use and the role of information management in promoting such use. Second, to establish if there is an already link in the information management research through collaboration as a nexus to promoting indigenous use of herbal medicine to enhance public healthcare delivery systems in the continent. A computation synthesis of the data was performed using R programming statistical analysis and VOS bibliometric software to visualize the analyzed data. Based on the R programming output, the total author sample size were 35,970 (n = 35,970), and their total publications outputs were n= 8,333 and the total outputs parameters was as follows: Min = 5.00 Max = 71.00, µ = 10.59. The average citation per items was 4.74 (ACP = 4.74) h-index=60, sum of times cited (STC = 39,572), citing articles (CA = 32,749) without self-citations (n =36,042) and it's citing articles (CA= 30,777). The findings suggested that researchers were yet to establish the nexus between information management and its impact in promoting indigenous use of natural remedies within the public healthcare delivery to promote its efficacies. The article presents a paper about scientists' use patterns of information when doing research at the North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST) in Jorhat, North East India. It states that it is necessary to discover the information needs of scientists so that libraries can provide the resources and services which their users need. Topics include the frequency of library visits, the purpose of the visits, and the library's schedule of holidays. Information is also provided on internet access, the rate of satisfaction, and the level of library automation.

The article presents a study that used the case study of the Audio-Visual Unit of the National Archives of Zimbabwe to interrogate challenges faced in managing audio-visual archives in developing economies despite their centrality as documentary heritage. It addresses the importance of audio-visual archives such as enhancing collective societal memory, preservation of culture and provision of entertainment.

The article examines the correlation, if any, between the personal characteristics of social science researchers at the University of Nigeria in Nsukka, Nigeria and information use and needs by those individuals. Topics of discussion include educational levels, years of professional experience, and access to technology. The study surveyed 40 lecturers at the aforementioned university. Also discussed is the connection between the design of information systems and the needs and habits of the users.

Purpose: the prime purpose of this research study is to investigate the application of social media in the marketing of library sources and Services in the university libraries of Pakistan. Research Design/Methodology/approach: Data were gathered using a survey method and a quantitative research methodology. The Pakistani university librarians were the source of the data, which was gathered both offline and online. With the aid of SPSS and other analysis software, 100 valid responses in all have been examined. Findings: the Research findings revealed that university librarians of Pakistan are well aware of the very application of social media in the marketing of library sources and services. The result shows that majority of the university libraries are using social media for the marketing of library sources and services. However, the librarians have identified that Facebook is a more suitable tool for the marketing of library sources and services. The research result has confirmed that university librarians are well aware of the needed skills and knowledge how to implement social networking sites to market the library sources and services. The results also described that university librarians use some of the tools/methods to analyze the marketing feasibility at the country level Practical Implications: This research helps library and information workers at the international and national levels understand how social networks might be used to provide library resources. Limitation: the present Research is purely consisted to the university librarian four provinces and twin cities of Pakistan. Originality/value: This research demonstrates the value of social networking sites platforms for the marketing of library resources and services and makes a contribution to the fields of library and information science and information management. The study is an assessment of the use of mobile applications for information management among year two National Diploma students in the Department of Library and Information Science, Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. The study adopted a survey method and questionnaire were administered on the 164 students from which 152 were completed and returned. The study discovered that the students commonly used mobile applications for managing information relating to their academic activities and were highly skilled in using mobile applications for streaming videos, sharing of documents and uploading of information using social media apps, but majority. The study also discovered that personal efforts were the major means through which the students acquired relevant skills in using mobile applications for information management. However, majority of the students claimed that lack of required skills and inadequate instructions from lecturers were common challenges they experienced. The study recommends, among others, that there is need for more practical training on the use of mobile applications for information management by the lecturers in the Department and the institution's Library, and also institution's management should provide adequate teaching aids to enhance the learning process. The article offers information on the security challenges faced by university libraries, which are considered the academic heart of post-secondary institutions. Topics include the purpose of university libraries in facilitating teaching, learning, and research, as well as the need to secure information resources against theft and mutilation. Theft is defined as stealing something from a person or place, while mutilation refers to tearing or removing part of a book.

The study investigates the use of Social Media for information sharing in the management of people living with HIV in Nigeria. The specific objectives of the study were to find out the information needs of the PLHIV, the sources of their information, the types of information shared and the challenges. The study had four research questions. A Cross-sectional research design was employed. Questionnaires and interview were the instruments used to collect the data. Four hundred (400) respondents were selected as the sample, The Director General; of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS was also interviewed. The quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics; frequency, percentages, and chi-square. The qualitative data was interpreted using narrative analysis. The information needs of the People Living with HIV were health-related. Their sources of information were symposiums, physicians, HIV support groups, friends and colleagues, radio, television, HIV journals, magazines and ARV trial centres. They used Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube and Twitter for information sharing. They also used SM to share information on health development, healthy lifestyle, preventing infecting other People and preventing sexual partners from being infected, among others. The Challenges hindering the use of Social Media were lack of physical interaction, poor network and invasion of privacy, low IT literacy, unreliable information, fear of sharing fake news, poor quality of video and audio transmission, etc. The National Agency for the Control of AIDS used Facebook and Twitter to share information with people living with HIV. Insecurity and lack of funds were the major challenges faced by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS in information sharing. Hypotheses tests showed a significant relationship between the information sources and the types of information shared, there was also a significant relationship between the information needs and the information sources. On the other hand, no significant relationship was revealed between the information needs and the types of information shared. It was recommended to the government and all HIV stakeholders to come up with a policy that will integrate the use of SM in the management of People Living with HIV, The National Agency for the Control of AIDS should also integrate the use of WhatsApp and Youtube for effective information sharing. The government at all levels should specifically create a library, fully equipped with both printed and electronic information resources to encourage the PLHIV to intensify the use of printed information sources. In every society, deviant behaviour is inevitable and, as a result of its adverse consequences, ought to be taken seriously. Nations have formulated rules and regulations which constitute the penal policies towards the administration and dispensation of criminal justice in the effort to punish as well as reform criminal-minded individuals. The provision of library information resources to cater for the information needs of prison inmates as reformatory tool for their psychological well-being during incarceration has not been given adequate attention in Nigeria prison system. A survey study with structured questionnaire was used to collect data on the sampled 600 prison inmates, out of which 357 inmates responded. The population of the study comprised prisons with two (2) functional libraries. These two (2) prison libraries were chosen through purposive sampling from the total number of all the convict inmates. Prison inmates were classified based on the type of offence committed and duration of prison term. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentages, mean and standard deviation and inferential statistics of, correlation and multiple regression analyses. The study revealed that there was significant multiple correlation among information needs, and psychological well-being of the inmates (R=0.665.p< 0.05). This study observed that information needs of prison inmates are diverse. The study concluded that government must fund the provision of adequate information resources and that the services of professional librarians must be engaged to source for relevant information resources in order to satisfy the information needs of prison inmates in Nigeria. This study investigated the information and communication technology application and use in medical records and information management in selected hospitals in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State. The Objectives of the study found out the level of application and compliance of ICT and also investigated the challenges facing the application. The survey research design was adopted while total enumeration sampling technique was used in the selection of samples. Questionnaire was used to gather data for this study while mean and standard deviation frequency counts and percentages was used in data analysis. Findings shows that the information and communication tools applicable in the selected hospitals are computers (100%), softwares such as Microsoft word, excel etc (100%), surgical ICT tools (100%), internet (90%), management software (90%), infection detecting technologies (90%), Health Information system programme (HISP) (90%), ultrasound imaging device (80%), telemedicine (76%), national health care management information system (NHC/MIS) (75%) and scanner (60%). The challenges facing the use of ICT tools in medical records and information management in the hospitals are inadequate training, insufficient knowledge on use of IT tools, failure of equipment/old IT tools, security/privacy issues, inadequate ICT facilities, lack of physical access to the tools and affordability. The research therefore recommended among others that there should be more training, awareness, exposure or workshops for staff in the hospital on the application and use of ICT tools which are seldom or never used in the hospitals to improve the health care services rendered in the hospitals. The present study analyzed 441 global publications on library management and administration indexed in Scopus database. Very few bibliometric studies were found on varies aspects of library management but not as whole library management and administration which made author to analyze globally. Methods and Martials: The data was analyzed using biblioshiny app, presented three fold relation viz, authors, countries and keywords, authors and source impact, word count and word growth with thematic presentation and collaborative network of documents. Findings: The highest contribution in library management and administration research is published in the form of journal articles and the publications are steadily growing. The top 10 most productive countries were identified and USA topped the list with highest publication (108) followed by China (81) and India (74). The top cited countries includes UK (404), USA (178) and India (138). The prolific authors were Bissels G. Shatte A., Holdsworth J., Liu Y., Rousseau R. The study aimed to elicit information on the records management practices of the records officers in handling the records of the Mindanao State University, Main Campus, as observed by selected faculty members and staff. Slovin's formula was used to identify the 363 participants out of the 3,996 employees of the Campus. Purposive sampling was utilized in this study. Findings of the study revealed that based on the employees' observations, the records of the Main Campus are managed. However, participants believed that the records officers lack the necessary skills in handling records. Top administration support is of utmost importance to have a good records management by sending records officers to seminars/workshops and other trainings on records management. Moreover, classification schemes used in records keeping in the different offices need to be examined to ensure the security of records; hence, digitization of records is suggested. The present study analyses the articles published in DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology (DJLIT) and SRELS Journal of Information Management, the leading UGC-CARE enlisted Indian journals in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS) during the year 2016-2020 which explores the volume wise, issue wise pattern of distribution of articles, authorship pattern of articles, geographical distribution of major contributions and contributors, state wise distribution of articles from India, reference distribution pattern and its authorship pattern. The study reveals that DJLIT (277) has more publications than SRELS Journal (248) during the mentioned period. DJLIT has got maximum contribution under two authorship pattern of articles 132 (47.65%) than SRELS Journal with 121 (48.79%) during the study period. DJLT has got more contributions from India (82.07%) than SRELS (89.24%). DJLIT has got more numbers of foreign countries (15) than SRELS Journal (8). New Delhi emerged at top position with 74 (32.56%) contributions and 156 contributors in DJLIT. B. M. Gupta contributed the highest number of articles publication (12) in DJLIT during the period of study. In this study examines the use information sources and services by the teachers of pre-university colleges in shivamogga taluck. Total 170 questionnaires were distributed to the teachers, out of which 159 questionnaires were received back. The findings of the study shows that the majority 50.94% of teachers are daily visit the library. The majority of 62(38.99%) respondents are satisfied with the library location and reading room facility. The study shows that the 90(56.61%) of teachers opinion disagree with availability of inadequate library building in preuniversity colleges and only 13(8.17%) of teachers opinion strongly agree with inadequate library building. The Study suggested that Department of pre-university board, set minimum standards for the libraries including librarian recruitment, minimum budget, computers, internet facility, library automation and collection of books and physical facilities provide to preuniversity college libraries. Emotions form a part of the individual variables that play a key role in the determination of information seeking behaviour of an individual. Anxiety and uncertainty characterize the initial phases of the process of searching for information. The affective indications of uncertainty, frustration, and confusion lead to vague and imprecise thoughts regarding a problem or topic. However, a shift to focused knowledge leads to a decline in uncertainty and increase in confidence. The current study relies on a single holistic case study in which students of Manchester Metropolitan University are the case and their emotional response to search. Consequently, the study follows a descriptor-explanatory design that involves the description of the phenomenon through a review of literature and explanations of such occurrence through primary data collected via interviews with participants. The researcher conducted face-to-face interviews for individual. The findings confirm earlier observations regarding the emotional response to the search process during the initial stages. As indicated by several respondents, the initial stages of searching are complicated because of the uncertainty about the topic and the vagueness of thoughts. At this stage, the respondents confirm their need for information, which occurs through the identification of the research gap and the search for background information. Apprehension at this stage emanates from the confusion regarding the lack of focus on the search of information. This review summarizes relevant research on the relevance of urban agriculture and how best various Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) can be used in accessing and disseminating livestock husbandry information, in order to improve livestock husbandry practices in urban areas. Specifically, it reviews studies that have been conducted in relation to urban agricultural practices, the challenges of keeping livestock in urban areas and the solutions to overcome the challenges of urban livestock keeping. The review also discusses the extent of ICT integration in agriculture from a global perspective and specifically in Africa and Tanzania. The review focuses on the information needs of urban livestock keepers and the challenges encountered in using various ICTs in accessing livestock husbandry information. The study investigated Effects of Weeding Strategies on Information Resources Management Among Public Libraries in North-Central States of Nigeria, the researcher observed that Every library's print collection is limited by the space available, and collections must change over time to reflect changes in the community and in the library's goals, as result, five (5) research questions and objectives were formulated with respect to how unwanted information resources managed, shelf-time period of information resources, effects of weeding on library organisation and services and the challenges of weeding in public libraries. Survey research method was adopted for the study and staff in the circulation, technical, reference, readers and collection development units of the public libraries in Plateau, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) constituted the population of the study. Data were collected using questionnaire and observation, frequency tables and simple percentages were used to analyse the data collected for the study. The study found among others that public libraries in north-central states of Nigeria keep obsolete information resources in store rooms, basic tasks in library management include the acquisition, classification of acquired materials, preservation of materials (especially rare and fragile archival materials such as manuscripts), are affected by weeding activities.
