Abstract

The article discusses a study which compared coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for the treatment of patients with left main coronary disease. Particular focus is given to the methodology used in the study. Findings revealed a 3.8% myocardial infarction estimates in the CABG group and 9.7% in the PCI group. Results also showed an 11.4% all-cause death in the CABG group.
