Abstract

The article discusses an experiment which focused on the preparation of natural rubber (NR) and acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR)-based compounds via sulfur and peroxide curing. Topics discussed include the effect of the curing systems on the cross-linking density of vulcanizates, the measurement of the physical-mechanical properties of vulcanizates including hardness, moduli and tensile strength, and higher cross-link density observed in NBR-based vulcanizates.
