The research mainly focuses on the fatigue strength characteristics of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy fillet welds under different vibration frequencies. Firstly, by introducing Stress Life Curve (S-N Curve) and Probability Stress Life Curve (P-S-N Curve), the external vibration stress effects of the main load-bearing points in the stress environment of welded joints are analyzed. Subsequently, a vibration test control system is designed to analyze the relationship between vibration frequency and fatigue strength through nominal stress analysis and hot spot stress analysis. The research findings revealed that under the nominal stress analysis method, the P-S-N fitting curve showed a declining trend with an increase in fatigue life for stress variation curves with survival rates of 50 %, 95 %, and 97.7 % at vibration frequencies of 57.5 Hz, 67.5 Hz, and 77.5 Hz. At the same survival rate stress conditions, the fatigue life variation formed by resonance frequency was smaller, and the fatigue life in the resonance state was relatively lower. There is a certain correlation between vibration frequency and fatigue strength, with resonance frequency corresponding to relatively low fatigue life. This research result helps to reveal the fatigue behavior of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy fillet welds under different vibration stresses, providing a reference for the structural safety design of aluminum alloy components. A considerable number of studies for vortex induced vibration (VIV) under uniform flow have been performed. However, investigation of VIV under middle flow is scarce. An experiment for VIV under middle flow was conducted in a deep-water offshore basin. Various measurements were obtained by the fiber Bragg grating strain sensors placed on the riser, and VIV under the effect of middle flow with was investigated. Results show that the riser vibrates at different order natural frequencies along the water depth in the CF and IL directions appearing as the multi-frequencies under middle flow. The variation vortex shedding frequencies along the riser under middle flow may generate different wake modes and vibration modals as the corresponding vortex shedding frequencies approach the riser natural frequencies. The dominant vibration frequency of the entire riser is consistent, and determined by high order natural frequency and the corresponding closing vortex shedding frequencies under the middle flow. Meanwhile, the vibration modal under middle flow appears multi-modals and other lower modal have effect on riser vibration. In order to study the effect of the operational loads on the ground-borne vibration of the high-speed train, a train-track coupling model with considering the vertical and horizontal effects is established and applied to calculate the impact of different operational speeds on vibration acceleration. As shown in the results, the vibration acceleration is largely affected by different frequencies generated from different train speeds. By means of an indoor dynamic triaxial test, the impact of different vibration frequencies of a train on soil body is simulated. And a large number of medium- and low-frequency vibration tests are conducted according to the settings of load form, drainage requirement and vibration number of train vibration loads. The experimental results are analyzed to study the effect of different frequencies on dynamic characteristics, and a dynamic strain-time calculation formula, that takes the frequency factor into consideration, is proposed. Meanwhile, the improved formula that considered frequency is substituted into the finite element model (FEM) of the train, so as to analyze the impact of different vibration frequencies on the settlement, is applied. As shown in the results, the proposed improved formula, that considered the frequency, is good at prediction. The effect of vibration efficiency on the engineering can be reflected by a simulated high-speed train model. Based on the simulation model, a reinforcement measure is conducted for the ground-borne, and it is calculated that the settlement is obviously reduced and the service time of the train ground-borne is increased. Several modern engineering materials are difficult to process with conventional machining methods. Ultrasonically assisted turning (UAT) is a novel machining technique, where high frequency vibration is superimposed on the cutting tool. Compared to conventional turning (CT), it demonstrated a range of benefits in processing many intractable materials. A decrease in the average cutting force, an improvement in the surface finish and noise reduction were observed. In this study a Lagrangian smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) was introduced for the modeling of the vibro-assisted turning of this advanced alloy. The UAT was implemented into the model by using the user interface VUAMP, available in ABAQUS/Explicit. The model was validated with experimental data available in the literature. The influence of vibration parameters (i.e. amplitude and frequency) on the process variables such as cutting force, chip morphology, distribution of stresses and temperatures in the workpiece was investigated thoroughly.
