This article presents a case study of a 37-year-old Sri Lankan man who was initially misdiagnosed with chronic urticaria but was later diagnosed with Lepromatous Leprosy. The patient had persistent facial swelling and other symptoms such as nasal bleeding and skin lesions. The diagnosis was confirmed through tests that showed the presence of acid-fast bacilli. The patient was then transferred to a specialized hospital for leprosy treatment. The article highlights the importance of considering leprosy as a differential diagnosis, especially in non-endemic regions. [Extracted from the article]
