Abstract

The article provides information on the fourth ordinary meeting of the 116th session of the British Astronomical Association held at the New Hunts House, Guys Hospital in London, England. Papers secretary Nick James announced that six papers had been approved for publication in the journal. Hazel Collett, Meetings Secretary was invited to read the minutes of the previous meeting, which had taken place at the seventh Observers' Workshop in Milton Keynes.

Abstract

Information on the events and papers discussed at the fourth meeting of the Royal Astronomical Society held in London, England on January 26, 2011 on astronomy is presented. Topics include the growth of black holes and its influence on galaxies, the mass distribution in the solar system, and the review of the lunar eclipse on December 21, 2010. The meeting featured several speakers including doctors Ryan Hickox of Durham University, Suzanne Aigrain of Oxford University, and Nick James.
