Abstract

The preparation of zirconaaziridines undergoing rapid enantiomer interconversion and the development of several methods for determining the rate constant for inversion are described. It is shown that as the addition of THF slows insertion without affecting enantiomer interconversion a more efficient DKR is produced without slow addition of the enantiopure carbonate.
