- Abstract
Neutron-diffraction methods are widely used for analyzing condensed matter, offering valuable insights into the internal structure and dynamics of the materials under study. The creation of new high-flux neutron sources to study promising materials and various biological systems places special demands on the operating parameters of detector systems. A new generation of position-sensitive thermal-neutron detectors should have record-breaking characteristics in terms of spatial and time resolution with a high detection efficiency. This work focuses on the exploration of new solutions for implementing detector systems in neutron-scattering stations, specifically examining the potential use and expected performance characteristics of
10 B resistive plate chambers (RPCs) for detecting thermal neutrons. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published
