Consider the nearest-neighbor Ising model on $\Lambda_n:=[-n,n]^d\cap\mathbb{Z}^d$ at inverse temperature $\beta\geq 0$ with free boundary conditions, and let $Y_n(\sigma):=\sum_{u\in\Lambda_n}\sigma_u$ be its total magnetization. Let $X_n$ be the total magnetization perturbed by a critical Curie-Weiss interaction, i.e., \begin{equation*} \frac{d F_{X_n}}{d F_{Y_n}}(x):=\frac{\exp[x^2/\left(2\langle Y_n^2 \rangle_{\Lambda_n,\beta}\right)]}{\left\langle\exp[Y_n^2/\left(2\langle Y_n^2\rangle_{\Lambda_n,\beta}\right)]\right\rangle_{\Lambda_n,\beta}}, \end{equation*} where $F_{X_n}$ and $F_{Y_n}$ are the distribution functions for $X_n$ and $Y_n$ respectively. We prove that for any $d\geq 4$ and $\beta\in[0,\beta_c(d)]$ where $\beta_c(d)$ is the critical inverse temperature, any subsequential limit (in distribution) of $\{X_n/\sqrt{\mathbb{E}\left(X_n^2\right)}:n\in\mathbb{N}\}$ has an analytic density (say, $f_X$) all of whose zeros are pure imaginary, and $f_X$ has an explicit expression in terms of the asymptotic behavior of zeros for the moment generating function of $Y_n$. We also prove that for any $d\geq 1$ and then for $\beta$ small, \begin{equation*} f_X(x)=K\exp(-C^4x^4), \end{equation*} where $C=\sqrt{\Gamma(3/4)/\Gamma(1/4)}$ and $K=\sqrt{\Gamma(3/4)}/(4\Gamma(5/4)^{3/2})$. We define a new percolation model by generalising the FK representation of the Ising model, and show that on the triangular lattice and at high temperatures, the critical point in the new model corresponds to the Ising model. Since the new model can be viewed as Bernoulli percolation on a random graph, our result makes an explicit connection between Ising percolation and critical Bernoulli percolation, and gives a new justification of the conjecture that the high temperature Ising model on the triangular lattice is in the same universality class as Bernoulli percolation.

Consider a cellular automaton with state space $\{0,1 \}^{{\mathbb Z}^2}$ where the initial configuration $\omega_0$ is chosen according to a Bernoulli product measure, 1's are stable, and 0's become 1's if they are surrounded by at least three neighboring 1's. In this paper we show that the configuration $\omega_n$ at time n converges exponentially fast to a final configuration $\bar\omega$, and that the limiting measure corresponding to $\bar\omega$ is in the universality class of Bernoulli (independent) percolation. More precisely, assuming the existence of the critical exponents $\beta$, $\eta$, $\nu$ and $\gamma$, and of the continuum scaling limit of crossing probabilities for independent site percolation on the close-packed version of ${\mathbb Z}^2$ (i.e., for independent $*$-percolation on ${\mathbb Z}^2$), we prove that the bootstrapped percolation model has the same scaling limit and critical exponents. This type of bootstrap percolation can be seen as a paradigm for a class of cellular automata whose evolution is given, at each time step, by a monotonic and nonessential enhancement., Comment: 15 pages
