In the field of transportation, one of the technological developments can be found in the parking service system. However, in the current parking service system, there are still several shortcomings, one of which is the absence of a parking system that can provide information to motorists regarding vacant parking locations. If the condition of the parking lot is congested, it will be difficult for customers to find an empty parking location and cause queues at the parking location. The purpose of this study is to design a system for calculating the availability of parking spaces that can make it easier for motorists to find an empty parking area so that the mobility of vehicles in the parking lot can be organized, efficient, and well organized. This smart parking system is designed using an Arduino microcontroller and uses an infrared sensor to detect the condition of the car in the parking lot. The information provided in the form of parking conditions will be displayed through the LCD and the LabView application so that the information can be known by the driver before entering the parking area. In addition, drivers can also find out the number of parking fees for their vehicles. Results of the simulation show that the prototype can work normally according to the design made.

The focus of this research is to conduct techno-economic analysis for investment on purification system of transformer oil in offshore oil and gas industry. The challenges of the purification system are the design shall be appropriate for limited space area, no production disruption (works online), and conducted without discharging from the pipe / transformer system in accordance with regulations. The methodology of this research is conducting literature study and review to previous researches and using existing contract data and manufacturer’s offering which applied in oil & gas industry of Indonesia. The result is the most appropriate purification system is the combination of filtration – degassing & dehydration – filtration methods, 70 cm x 70 cm x 125 cm in dimension. The investment is good in economic value which indicated by IRR value 25.24%, NPV IDR 2,425,529,703, and payback period 4.35 years.

The process of managing data and eating employees is underway now in the process of counting the number of employees who take servings still use conventional methods. Collection without using other tools so that in calculating the number of employees who take portions of food is very susceptible to errors, and making reports are still handwritten on paper so that it cannot present reports quickly and accurately. A system development process to produce software that facilitates the process of managing employee meal data. This application is to develop design software to manage employee data input using a barcode scanner and prepare reports for parties involved in management. This software development process uses the system development life cycle method that starts from the system analysis phase, system design, to the system implementation stage. The expected results of the development of this software can help officers involved in the process of managing employee data, such as the calculation of the number of employees taking food portions, and reporting by the system designed based on the results of the analysis of the running system, so that it can present the information needed more quickly, accurately, relevant and as expected.

Indonesia is located in the ring of fire zone. It causes a high risk of disaster threats. Volcanoes and earthquakes are unpredictable sources of natural disaster in a massive size, which many times caused an inaccessible area. We need to prepare how to overcome this situation. Quadrotor is an aerial vehicle that can access the disaster location easily and passing through many obstacles. Its autonomous ability can increase searching efficiency. Object detection will be a primary parameter which responsible to move the quadrotor. In this paper, we proposed to use cascaded Canny Edge with SURF clarified with SIFT to get more robust detection in real-time application. Our method is using image detection in guiding the quadrotor movements. First, we detect the object by cascaded Canny Edge with SURF and ORB, both of them checks whether the target is true or not. When both methods approved that target have been detected, then the process uses only the cascaded Canny Edge with SURF methods to locate the victims and to decrease the image processing time. Output of this image detection method applies into our quadrotor control movements, by using simple Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control. This visual feedback control guides the quadrotor flies to the target and note the victim position and reported in its log. This paper will also provide data comparison between our method with the only SURF and the only ORB method to do the same task.

Around Rembang Power Plant, ambient air samples of PM2.5 and PM10 has been taken. Result of this study can be useful as information for stakeholder and also people around Rembang power plant. Total characterization of average mass concentration in 6 locations for PM 2.5 and PM10 are 17.08 μg/m3 and 27.38 μg/m3 respectively. Those values are below air quality requirement by WHO. According to WHO, PM 2.5 should not exceed 25 μg/m3 and PM10 is not more than 50 μg/m3. Mass of PM 2.5 was around 63% from PM10 mass. This data shows that fossil fuel is main source of suspended particulate matter around Rembang power plant. Radioactivity analysis was done using gamma spectrometry, HPGe detector, radioactive sources (Eu-152 and Cs-137) and also Maestro 2 software. Radioactivity of Ra- 226 for PM2.5 and PM10, are 5.72 μBq/m3 and 7.30 μBq/m3 respectively. Radioactivity of Th-232 for PM2,5 and PM10 are 1.17 μBq/m3 and 2.59 μBq/m3 respectively, while radioactivity of K-40 for PM2.5 and PM10 are 17.68 μBq/m3 and 25.58 μBq/m3, respectively. Those values of radioactivity are below recommended values released by Regulation of Nuclear Regulatory Agency Head Number 7 Year of 2017 About Radioactivity Level in Air. According to this law, radioactivity of Ra-226 is below 1800 μBq/m3 and for Th-232 is below 2300 μBq/m3.

This research was conducted to assess the concentration of hazardous heavy metals (Cu, Zn, As, Cd, and Cr) in water wells and rivers, around the Adipala Cilacap steam power plant, using neutron activation analysis method. Sample of wells water and river water were taken around the Adipala Cilacap steam power plant. Samples were irradiated with pneumatic facility and Lazy Suzan in the Kartini Research Reactor, at a thermal neutron flux of approximately 0.58x1011 n.cm−2.det−1. The average concentration of hazardous heavy metals has the smallest metal value of Cr with a value of 0.0006 mg/L and the highest metal Cu with a value of 0.057 mg/L, which is examined in water wells following a decrease in the order of Cu > Zn > As > Cd > Cr. The five hazardous heavy metals under the maximum standard recommended by the WHO/USEPA and Minister of Health’s Regulation No. 492. In addition to the hazardous heavy metals, there are 13 other heavy metals that determined its concentration (Al, Ba, Mg, K, Fe, Na, Mn, Ti, La, Ce, Sm, Cs, and V), and obtained the results of the metal concentrations Al exceeds the threshold allowable by Minister of Health’s Regulation No. 492 the Year 2010.

The purpose of this research is to identify and characterize the main and trace metals in plant (cassava leaves and grass) and soil. Results of the characterization was used to determine the transfer factor (TF) of metal absorption from soil to plant around Adipala power plant located in Cilacap Regency. Measurement of metal concentrations were carried out using instrumental neutron activation analysis techniques. Samples were irradiated in Rabbit and Lazy Susan system facility at the Kartini research reactor located in Centre for Accelerator Science and Technology. Irradiated samples then counted using HPGe detector. Concentration values for heavy metals were below the maximum recommended value stated by WHO and FAO. Transfer factor (TF) is used to assess the concentration of metals in cassava leaves and grass taken from soil. The TF value calculated in this research were below 1, this implied that cassava leaves and grass were safe from the risk of heavy metals. The highest transfer factor value is Sb, it showed that is Sb was more mobile compare to other metals.

The added value of the waste of Rama shrimp (Thalassina anomala) carapace could be increased by extracting it to be a chitosan through the stages of demineralization, deproteination and deacetylation. The aim of the research was to determine the ability of chitosan extracted from the carapace to inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Chitosan extracted from the shrimp carapace was showing its chemical characteristics, namely: the content of water 6.74%, ash 4.13%, nitrogen 7.5%, and deacetylation degree 71%. Chitosan was dissolved in 1% acetic acid. Antibacterial activity testing was carried out by using the well diffusion method, conducted by addition of chitosan at varied concentration (0%, 1%, 2%, 4% and 6%). The results showed that the chitosan had an ability to be antibacterial against Salmonella thypi, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. It was indicated by the clear zones formed around the well. The clear zone formed was indicating that the chitosan extracted from the carapace could inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria at a concentration of 1 %. The average of inhibition zone diameter for each bacterium was 11.54 mm, 11.46 mm, 7.78 mm, and 9.84 mm, respectively.
