Dear Sirs, As of June 15th 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the novel coronavirus severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has resulted in more than 177 million confirmed cases worldwide and more than 3.8 million deaths [[1]].
