Improvement of the production process presents a very important management task for both researchers and practitioners and enables a better market position of the enterprise. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the production process can provide useful information on the current state of the ongoing process. In this paper, the relative importance of KPIs and their values at the enterprise level were assessed by the experts and decision-makers. Their estimates are described by the linguistic variables which were modeled by intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. The weights vector of KPIs at the level of the considered enterprise is given by the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchical Process (FAHP) with Triangular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Numbers (TIFNs). The rank of enterprises with respect to KPIs' values and their weights was calculated using the modified TOPSIS with TIFNs. The developed model was tested on 30 enterprises from Serbia, belonging to the sector of small and medium-sized (SME) production enterprises. The improvement strategies of KPIs should be proposed at the level of each enterprise, separately, respecting the KPIs' values of the first-ranked enterprise.

In this paper, we consider the problem of determining the optimal production quantity under uncertainties. The treated problem has a critical effect on the achievement of business goals, which further propagates to the competitive advantage of manufacturing company. The considered problem is stated as the fuzzy linear programming task. The objective function is defined as the maximization of all profit over the time period. The set of constraints consists of constraints deriving from the enterprise (available capacities) and from the market (demand). The fuzzy rating coefficient values of objective function of each pair of the considered products are described by linguistic expressions which are modelled by triangular fuzzy numbers. Handling of uncertainties of the stated fuzzy pair-wise comparison matrix is performed by using the extent analysis. The right-hand-side values of the capacity constraints are determined by decision makers and modelled by the triangular fuzzy numbers. The market constraint values are given according to evidence data. Determination of the optimal quantities of considered products for each time period is based on the concept of equal possibilities. The proposed model is illustrated by an example with real-life data.

Evaluation and analysis of failures which occur in the products or services in different economic areas are an important task of operational management. Solution of this problem leads to the increase of product's/service's quality, but in the same time it also increases business processes effectiveness and business goal's realization. The treated problem is especially important in the information technologies domain. In this paper, the risk factors that may cause failures of the software are defined in compliance with the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) framework and they are assessed during the development and the maintenance phase. The relative importance of these risk factors and their values at the level of each identified failure are described by pre-defined linguistic terms which are modelled by the interval type-2 trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (IT2TrFNs). The weights vector is calculated by using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) with interval type-2 fuzzy sets. The rank of failures is obtained by using the complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) method. The example with real life data is illustrated to demonstrate the potential and applicability of the adopted methods.

The paper presents a noninvasive scoliosis and other spine disorder automatic diagnostic solution implemented using low-cost commodity sensors, but still achieving adequate precision. The cost of similar commercial solutions is prohibitive to have them acquired by many healthcare institutions in less-developed countries, thus we have developed a low-cost one. The proposed solution can easily be used by healthcare institutions with small investment for obtaining otherwise expensive equipment. The precision and usefulness of designed spine disorder diagnostic solution is thoroughly tested during students' annual health checkups.
