As one of the main methods of information fusion, artificial intelligence class fusion algorithm not only inherits the powerful skills of artificial intelligence, but also inherits many advantages of information fusion. Similarly, as an important sub-field of artificial intelligence class fusion algorithm, deep learning class fusion algorithm also inherits advantages of deep learning and information fusion. Hence, deep learning fusion algorithm has become one of the research hotspots of many scholars. To solve the problem that the existing neural networks are input into multiple channels as a whole and cannot fully learn information of multichannel images, Shan et al. proposed multichannel concat-fusional convolutional neural networks. To mine more multichannel images' information and further explore the performance of different fusion types, the paper proposes new fusional neural networks called multichannel cross-fusion convolutional neural networks (McCfCNNs) with fusion types of "R+G+B/R+G+B/R+G+B" and "R+G/G+B/B+R" based on the tremendous strengths of information fusion. Experiments show that McCfCNNs obtain 0.07-6.09% relative performance improvement in comparison with their corresponding non-fusion convolutional neural networks (CNNs) on diverse datasets (such as CIFAR100, SVHN, CALTECH256, and IMAGENET) under a certain computational complexity. Hence, McCfCNNs with fusion types of "R+G+B/R+G+B/R+G+B" and "R+G/G+B/B+R" can learn more fully multichannel images' information, which provide a method and idea for processing multichannel information fusion, for example, remote sensing satellite images. Crowd counting aims to estimate the number, density, and distribution of crowds in an image. The current mainstream approach, based on CNN, has been highly successful. However, CNN is not without its flaws. Its limited receptive field hampers the modeling of global contextual information, and it struggles to effectively handle scale variation and background complexity. In this paper, we propose a Multi-scale Hybrid Attention Network called MHANet to solve crowd counting challenges more effectively. To address the issue of scale variation, we have developed a Multi-scale Aware Module (MAM) that incorporates multiple sets of dilated convolutions with varying dilation rates. The MAM significantly improves the network's ability to extract information at multiple scales. To tackle the problem of background complexity, we have introduced a Hybrid Attention Module (HAM) that combines spatial attention and channel attention. The HAM effectively directs attention to the crowd region while suppressing background interference, resulting in more accurate counting. MHANet has been extensively experimented on four benchmark datasets and compared against state-of-the-art algorithms. It consistently achieves superior performance in terms of the MAE evaluation metric. MHANet outperforms the current state-of-the-art methods by margins of 1.9%, 5.4%, 0.4%, and 0.8% on the ShanghaiTech Part_A, ShanghaiTech Part_B, UCF-QNRF, and UCF_CC_50 datasets, respectively. Human emotions are the mind’s responses to external stimuli, and due to their dynamic and unpredictable nature, research in this field has become increasingly important. There is a growing trend in utilizing deep learning and machine learning techniques for emotion recognition through EEG (electroencephalogram) signals. This paper presents an investigation based on a real-time dataset that comprises 15 subjects, consisting of 7 males and 8 females. The EEG signals of these subjects were recorded during exposure to video stimuli. The collected real-time data underwent preprocessing, followed by the extraction of features using various methods tailored for this purpose. The study includes an evaluation of model performance by comparing the accuracy and loss metrics between models applied to both raw and preprocessed data. The paper introduces the EEGEM (Electroencephalogram Ensemble Model), which represents an ensemble model combining LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) and CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) to achieve the desired outcomes. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the EEGEM model, achieving an impressive accuracy rate of 95.56%. Multi-modal information outbreak is consistently increasing in social media. Classification of tweet sentiments using various information modalities will help the recommender systems to achieve success in digital marketing. Moreover, aspect-level sentiment analysis categorizes a target's sentiment polarity in a specific environment. Using topic modelling in aspect-level sentiment analysis enables the identification of more accurate aspect-based tweet sentiments. The existing sentiment classification techniques used for the development of recommendation systems do not focus on the aspect-based approach modelled using deep learning classifier with temporal analysis on the social media data. Hence, this paper proposes an efficient sentiment classification model that highlights the impact of topic modelling-based word feature embedding for improvising the classification of Twitter sentiments and product reviews based on temporal reasoning and analysis for performing predictive analysis. For tweets context analysis, Latent Dirichlet Allocation based topic modelling is used in this work which generates the topics. For each topic, the sentiment is calculated separately and the topic guided feature expansion is done using Senti-wordnet. Moreover, an extended deep learning classification algorithm called Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) with word embedding and temporal reasoning(LSTMWTR) is proposed in this paper for improving the classification accuracy. Finally, the labelled data are classified using the existing machine learning algorithms namely Naïve Bayes, Support Vector Machines and also using the deep learning models such as Convolution Neural Network(CNN),LSTM, Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) and the transformer model namelyBi-directional Encoder Representation from Transformers (BERT),Convolution Bi-directional Recurrent Neural Network (CBRNN) and the proposed deep learning algorithm namelyLSTMWTR. In order to alleviate the increasingly serious traffic congestion problem in China, realize intelligent traffic control, and provide accurate and real-time traffic flow prediction data for traffic flow guidance and traffic travel, this paper designs a GPS-based vehicle trajectory fusion optimization deep model BN-LSTM-CNN which makes full use of the temporal and spatial correlation characteristics of dynamic traffic flow to improve the accuracy of short-term traffic flow prediction. The parameters of the historical GPS dynamic trajectory of the traffic network link are converted into a two-dimensional matrix image of time and space relationship. First, the spatial features are input to the CNN network, and the spatial dependence relationship between the links is mined, then the traffic flow time series modeling is performed with a four-layer ConvLSTM network, and the BN normalization layer is added to normalize the activation value of the previous layer on each batch, so that the model can obtain higher training accuracy and quickly complete the prediction of the traffic flow state in a certain period of time in the future. With the development of the urban industry in recent years, air pollution in areas such as factories and streets has become more and more serious. Air quality problems directly affect the normal lives of residents. Effectively predicting the future air condition in the area through relevant historical data has high application value for early warning of this area. Through the study of the previous monitoring data, it is found that the pollutant data of adjacent monitoring stations are correlated in more periods. Therefore, this paper proposes a hybrid model based on CNN and Bi-LSTM, using CNN to synthesize multiple adjacent stations with strong correlations to extract spatial features between data, and using Bi-LSTM to extract features in the time dimension to finally achieve pollutant concentration prediction. Using the historical data of 40 monitoring stations in different locations of Fushun city to conduct research. Hazy weather affects drivers’ sightline seriously and causes a high potential safety hazard. This paper proposes a novel approach for recognizing the speed limit sign in hazy weather. It consists of three major modules: haze removal, speed limit sign location, and sign recognition. In haze removal, this paper proposes to dehaze image with the dark channel prior. The speed limit sign is located by Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) feature extraction and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification and is recognized by the seven layers Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). Experimental results show that the proposed method has better performance than the state-of-art dehazing methods and the processing time is also reduced. Iris segmentation is one of the most important steps in iris recognition. The current iris segmentation network is based on convolutional neural network (CNN). Among these methods, there are still problems with the segmentation networks such as high complexity, insufficient accuracy, etc. To solve these problems, an improved low complexity DenseUnet is proposed to this paper based on U-net for acquiring a high-accuracy iris segmentation network. In this network, the improvements are as follows: (1) Design a dense block module that contains five convolutional layers and all convolutions are dilated convolutions aimed at enhancing feature extraction; (2) Except for the last convolutional layer, all convolutional layers output feature maps are set to the number 64, and this operation is to reduce the amounts of parameters without affecting the segmentation accuracy; (3) The solution proposed to this paper has low complexity and provides the possibility for the deployment of portable mobile devices. DenseUnet is used on the dataset of IITD, CASIA V4.0 and UBIRIS V2.0 during the experimental stage. Road detection algorithms with high robustness as well as timeliness are the basis for developing intelligent assisted driving systems. To improve the robustness as well as the timeliness of unstructured road detection, a new algorithm is proposed in this paper. First, for the first frame in the video, the homography matrix H is estimated based on the improved random sample consensus (RANSAC) algorithm for different regions in the image, and the features of H are automatically extracted using convolutional neural network (CNN), which in turn enables road detection. Secondly, in order to improve the rate of subsequent similar frame detection, the color as well as texture features of the road are extracted from the detection results of the first frame, and the corresponding Gaussian mixture models (GMMs) are constructed based on Orchard-Bouman, and then the Gibbs energy function is used to achieve road detection in subsequent frames. Finally, the above algorithm is verified in a real unstructured road scene, and the experimental results show that the algorithm is 98.4% accurate and can process 58 frames per second with 1024×960 pixels. Medical and satellite image analysis require incredibly high resolution. Super-resolution combines several low-resolution images of the same scene to generate a high-resolution image. The Super resolution employing deep learning techniques still has an illumination issue. This paper proposes a novel CGIHE-VDSR algorithm that integrates the Very Deep Super Resolution (VDSR) Network with Color Global Image Histogram Equalization (CGIHE) to improve image resolution. In the proposed method, the low-resolution image is first histogram equalized using the CGIHE algorithm. Then, the VDSR network is applied to the histogram equalized image for super-resolution. The comparison of real-time data with the benchmark images is done using the proposed algorithm in the MATLAB platform. Fabrication of semiconductor wafers is a complex process and chances of defect wafers are high. Because of defective wafers the circuit patterns will not be created correctly and it is necessary to identify them. Manual identification of defects are time consuming and expensive. Deep learning methods are widely used for defect detection. In this paper we propose a simple Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model for classification of nine defects in wafers. A custom CNN consisting of 9 layers is used for the classification of defects as Center, Donut, Edge-Loc, Edge-Ring, Loc, Random, Scratch, Near-full, and None. Performance of the model is evaluated using WM-811K dataset. Results shows that the model classifies the defects with high confidence score and an accuracy of 99.1% is achieved using this method. Further, the convolution operation in the CNN is realized using Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer (CORDIC) algorithm. The rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) brings sweeping changes in various industries. Healthcare industries have become a prime example where the Internet of Healthcare Things (IoHT) is making significant progress, particularly in how we approach real-time patient care. Traditional systems for monitoring older people and people with special needs are frequently expensive, require a large workforce, and fall short of providing real-time data. This paper introduces the "3-Tier Health Care Architecture," an integrated approach to mitigating these issues. This architecture capitalizes on IoHT technologies and is constructed around three principal tiers: Sensor, Fog, and Cloud. The Sensor Tier employs Health Metrics Acquisition Units (HMAUs) fitted with an nRF5340 Development Kit, capturing an extensive range of health-related metrics via wearable sensors. These metrics are then relayed to the Local Processing Units (LPUs) in Fog Tier, which operates on Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W microprocessors for the initial data processing before forwarding to the cloud. The Cloud Tier uses a hybrid CNN-LSTM Machine Learning (ML) model to perform Real-Time Healthcare Monitoring (RTHM) status assessments and includes an Early Warning System for immediate alert issuance. The proposed architecture is resilient, scalable, and efficient, serving as a fortified and all-encompassing solution for RTHM. Efficient feature representation is the key to improving crowd counting performance. CNN and Transformer are the two commonly used feature extraction frameworks in the field of crowd counting. CNN excels at hierarchically extracting local features to obtain a multi-scale feature representation of the image, but it struggles with capturing global features. Transformer, on the other hand, could capture global feature representation by utilizing cascaded self-attention to capture remote dependency relationships, but it often overlooks local detail information. Therefore, relying solely on CNN or Transformer for crowd counting has certain limitations. In this paper, we propose the TCHNet crowd counting model by combining the CNN and Transformer frameworks. The model employs the CMT (CNNs Meet Vision Transformers) backbone network as the Feature Extraction Module (FEM) to hierarchically extract local and global features of the crowd using a combination of convolution and self-attention mechanisms. To obtain more comprehensive spatial local information, an improved Progressive Multi-scale Learning Process (PMLP) is introduced into the FEM, guiding the network to learn at different granularity levels. The features from these three different granularity levels are then fed into the Multi-scale Feature Aggregation Module (MFAM) for fusion. Finally, a Multi-Scale Regression Module (MSRM) is designed to handle the multi-scale fused features, resulting in crowd features rich in high-level semantics and low-level detail. Deep networks require a considerable amount of training data otherwise these networks generalize poorly. Data Augmentation techniques help the network generalize better by providing more variety in the training data. Standard data augmentation techniques such as flipping, and scaling, produce new data that is a modified version of the original data. Generative Adversarial networks (GANs) have been designed to generate new data that can be exploited. In this paper, we propose a new GAN model, named StynMedGAN for synthetically generating medical images to improve the performance of classification models. StynMedGAN builds upon the state-of-the-art styleGANv2 that has produced remarkable results generating all kinds of natural images. We introduce a regularization term that is a normalized loss factor in the existing discriminator loss of styleGANv2. It is used to force the generator to produce normalized images and penalize it if it fails. Medical imaging modalities, such as X-Rays, CT-Scans, and MRIs are different in nature, we show that the proposed GAN extends the capacity of styleGANv2 to handle medical images in a better way. This new GAN model (StynMedGAN) is applied to three types of medical imaging: X-Rays, CT scans, and MRI to produce more data for the classification tasks. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed model for the classification, 3 classifiers (CNN, DenseNet121, and VGG-16) are used. Results show that the classifiers trained with StynMedGAN-augmented data outperform other methods that only used the original data. The proposed model achieved 100%, 99.6%, and 100% for chest X-Ray, Chest CT-Scans, and Brain MRI respectively. This paper proposes a multi-feature spatial convolutional semantic matching model (BMCSA) based on BERT by enriching different feature spatial information of semantic features. BMCSA employs the BERT model to extract the semantic features of the text, then uses the two-dimensional convolutional network to extract different feature spatial information, and finally combines the Attention mechanism to capture the global feature spatial information. We use two different semantic matching data sets and a text inference data set to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model. As the environment issue is put on the agenda, air pollution also concerns a lot. Nitrogen oxide (NOx) an is important factor which affects air pollution and is also the main gas emissions of the smoke and waste gas of FCC unit in petrochemical industry. It is important to accurately predict the NOx emission in advance for petrochemical industry to avoid air pollution incidents. In this paper, convolutional neural network (CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM) are combined to predict the NOx emission in Fluid Catalytic Cracking unit (FCC unit). Convolutional-LSTM (CLSTM) is able to extract the spatial and temporal features which are essential information in the prediction of the NOx emission. The features in the factors of production which would affect the NOx emission are extracted by CNN which prepares time series data for LSTM. The LSTM layer is connected after CNN to model the irregular trends in time series. CNN, Multi-layer perception (MLP), rand forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM) and LSTM are implemented as baseline models. The results from the proposed CLSTM model showed better performance than all the baseline models. The mean absolute error and root mean square error for CLSTM were calculated with the values of 16.8267 and 23.7089 which are the lowest among all the models. The Pearson correlation coefficient and R2 for the proposed CLSTM model are calculated with the value of 0.9263, 0.8237 which are the highest among all the models. Furthermore, the residual graphs indicate the well matched performance between the observations and the predictions. Human Activity Recognition (HAR) is the most popular research area in the pervasive computing field in recent years. Sensor data plays a vital role in identifying several human actions. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have now become the most recent technique in the computer vision phenomenon, but still, it is premature to use CNN for sensor data, particularly in ubiquitous and wearable computing.Deep CNN requires huge dataset and models which increases the computational complexity. Transfer learning that uses the pre trained CNNwith fine tuning is the better alternative to reduce the training cost.In this paper, we have proposed the idea of transforming the raw accelerometer and gyroscope sensor data to the visual domain by using our novel activity image creation method (NAICM). Pre-trained CNN (AlexNet) has been used on the converted image domain information. The proposed method is evaluated on several online available human activity recognition dataset. The chest X-ray examination is one of the most important methods for screening and diagnosing of many lung diseases. Diagnosis of pneumonia by chest X-ray is one of the common methods used by medical experts. However, the image quality of chest X-Ray has some defects, such as low contrast, overlapping organs and blurred boundary, which seriously affects detecting pneumonia in chest X-rays. Therefore, it has important medical value and application significance to construct a stable and accurate automatic detection model of pneumonia through a large number of chest X-ray images. In this paper, we propose a novel hybrid system for detecting pneumonia from chest X-Ray image: ACNN-RF, which is an adaptive median filter Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) recognition model based on Random forest (RF). Firstly, the improved adaptive median filtering is employed to remove noise in the chest X-ray image, which makes the image more easily recognized. Secondly, we establish the CNN architecture based on Dropout to extract deep activation features from each chest X-ray image. Finally, we employ the RF classifier based on GridSearchCV class as a classifier for deep activation features in CNN model. It not only avoids the phenomenon of over-fitting in data training, but also improves the accuracy of image classification. During our experiment, the public chest X-ray image dataset used in the experiment contains 5863 images, which comprises 4265 frontal-view X-ray images of 1574 unique patients. The average recognition rate of pneumonia is up to 97% by the proposed ACNN-RF. This paper presents a novel methodology to identify the dynamic parameters of a real robot with a convolutional neural network (CNN). Conventional identification methodologies use continuous motion signals. However, these signals are quantized in their amplitude and are discrete in time. Therefore, the time required to identify the parameters of a robot with a limited measurement system is related to an optimized motion trajectory performed by the robot. The proposed methodology consists of an algorithm that uses a trained CNN with the data created by the dynamical model of the case study robot. A processing technique is proposed to transform the position, velocity, acceleration, and torque robot signals into an image whose characteristics are extracted by the CNN to determine their dynamic parameters. The proposed algorithm does not require any optimal trajectory to find the dynamic parameters. A proposed time-spectral evaluation metric is used to validate the robot data and the identification data. The validation results show that the proposed methodology identifies the parameters of a Cartesian robot in less than 1 second, exceeding 90% of the proposed evaluation metric and 98% for the simulation results. Although there have been various researches in the detection of different figurative language, there is no single work in the automatic classification of euphemisms. Our primary work is to present a system for the automatic classification of euphemistic phrases in a document. In this research, a large dataset consisting of 100,000 sentences is collected from different resources for identifying euphemism or non-euphemism utterances. In this work, several approaches are focused to improve the euphemism classification: 1. A Combination of lexical n-gram features 2.Three Feature-weighting schemes 3.Deep learning classification algorithms. In this paper, four machine learning (J48, Random Forest, Multinomial Naïve Bayes, and SVM) and three deep learning algorithms (Multilayer Perceptron, Convolutional Neural Network, and Long Short-Term Memory) are investigated with various combinations of features and feature weighting schemes to classify the sentences. According to our experiments, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) achieves precision 95.43%, recall 95.06%, F-Score 95.25%, accuracy 95.26%, and Kappa 0.905 by using a combination of unigram and bigram features with TF-IDF feature weighting scheme in the classification of euphemism. These results of experiments show CNN with a strong combination of unigram and bigram features set with TF-IDF feature weighting scheme outperforms another six classification algorithms in detecting the euphemisms in our dataset. The availability of techniques for driver distraction detection has been difficult to put to use because of delays caused due to lag in inferencing the model. Distractions caused due to handheld devices have been major causes of traffic accidents as they affect the decision-making capabilities of the driver and gives them less time to react to difficult situations. Often drivers try to multitask which reduces their reaction time leading to accidents, which can easily be avoided if they had been attentive. As such, problems related to the driver's negligence towards safety a possible solution is to monitor the driver and driving behavior and alerting them if they are distracted. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for detecting when a driver is distracted due to in hand electronic devices which is not only able to detect the distraction with high accuracy but also is energy and memory efficient. The real-time perception of hand gestures in a deprived environment is a demanding machine vision task. The hand recognition operations are more strenuous with different illumination conditions and varying backgrounds. Robust recognition and classification are the vital steps to support effective human-machine interaction (HMI), virtual reality, etc. In this paper, the real-time hand action recognition is performed by using an optimized Deep Residual Network model. It incorporates a RetinaNet model for hand detection and a Depthwise Separable Convolutional (DSC) layer for precise hand gesture recognition. The proposed model overcomes the class imbalance problems encountered by the conventional single-stage hand action recognition algorithms. The integrated DSC layer reduces the computational parameters and enhances the recognition speed. The model utilizes a ResNet-101 CNN architecture as a Feature extractor. The model is trained and evaluated on the MITI-HD dataset and compared with the benchmark datasets (NUSHP-II, Senz-3D). The network achieved a higher Precision and Recall value for an IoU value of 0.5. It is realized that the RetinaNet-DSC model using ResNet-101 backbone network obtained higher Precision (99.21 %for AP0.5, 96.80%for AP0.75) for MITI-HD Dataset. Higher performance metrics are obtained for a value of γ= 2 and α= 0.25. Lung cancer is the most common cancer throughout the world and identification of malignant tumors at an early stage is needed for diagnosis and treatment of patient thus avoiding the progression to a later stage. In recent times, deep learning architectures such as CNN have shown promising results in effectively identifying malignant tumors in CT scans. In this paper, we combine the CNN features with texture features such as Haralick and Gray level run length matrix features to gather benefits of high level and spatial features extracted from the lung nodules to improve the accuracy of classification. These features are further classified using SVM classifier instead of softmax classifier in order to reduce the overfitting problem. Colon cancer is one of the highest cancer diagnosis mortality rates worldwide. However, relying on the expertise of pathologists is a demanding and time-consuming process for histopathological analysis. The automated diagnosis of colon cancer from biopsy examination played an important role for patients and prognosis. As conventional handcrafted feature extraction requires specialized experience to select realistic features, deep learning processes have been chosen as abstract high-level features may be extracted automatically. This paper presents the colon cancer detection system using transfer learning architectures to automatically extract high-level features from colon biopsy images for automated diagnosis of patients and prognosis. In this study, the image features are extracted from a pre-trained convolutional neural network (CNN) and used to train the Bayesian optimized Support Vector Machine classifier. Moreover, Alexnet, VGG-16, and Inception-V3 pre-trained neural networks were used to analyze the best network for colon cancer detection. Furthermore, the proposed framework is evaluated using four datasets: two are collected from Indian hospitals (with different magnifications 4X, 10X, 20X, and 40X) and the other two are public colon image datasets. Compared with the existing classifiers and methods using public datasets, the test results evaluated the Inception-V3 network with the accuracy range from 96.5% - 99% as best suited for the proposed framework. This paper proposes a Wi-Fi-based indoor human detection system using a deep convolutional neural network. The system detects different human states in various situations, including different environments and propagation paths. The main improvements proposed by the system is that there is no cameras overhead and no sensors are mounted. This system captures useful amplitude information from the channel state information and converts this information into an image-like two-dimensional matrix. Next, the two-dimensional matrix is used as an input to a deep convolutional neural network (CNN) to distinguish human states. In this work, a deep residual network (ResNet) architecture is used to perform human state classification with hierarchical topological feature extraction. Several combinations of datasets for different environments and propagation paths are used in this study. ResNet's powerful inference simplifies feature extraction and improves the accuracy of human state classification. The experimental results show that the fine-tuned ResNet-18 model has good performance in indoor human detection, including people not present, people still, and people moving. Anomaly detection based on time series data is of great importance in many fields. Time series data produced by man-made systems usually include two parts: monitored and exogenous data, which respectively are the detected object and the control/feedback information. In this paper, a so-called G-CNN architecture that combined the gated recurrent units (GRU) with a convolutional neural network (CNN) is proposed, which respectively focus on the monitored and exogenous data. The most important is the introduction of a complementary double-referenced thresholding approach that processes prediction errors and calculates threshold, achieving balance between the minimization of false positives and the false negatives. The outstanding performance and extensive applicability of our model is demonstrated by experiments on two public datasets from aerospace and a new server machine dataset from an Internet company. It is also found that the monitored data is close associated with the exogenous data if any, and the interpretability of the G-CNN is discussed by visualizing the intermediate output of neural networks. The need of newer biometric traits is increasing, as the conventional biometric systems are found to be vulnerable to forging. Nowadays, tongue print is gaining importance as a biometric trait, especially in the area of forensics. Tongue is a well protected vital organ which exhibits rich structural patterns. Success of tongue print as a biometric tool depends on how well the discriminating features are extracted from it. Advancements in the field of deep neural network and availability of high-end computing environments facilitate remarkable progress in the area of image recognition. CNN follows a hierarchical learning to extract feature maps that highly characterize the training data. However, obtaining a tongue print dataset large enough to train a CNN for recognition poses a huge challenge. Alternatively, two techniques can be used to successfully employ CNN for recognition: fine-tuning pre-trained CNN models, to use as a classifier, with the new input dataset and class labels to perform tongue-print image recognition. Another effective method is to use a pre-trained CNN model as a feature extractor, to extract features from the input tongue dataset and then use a state-of-the-art classifier to perform image recognition. In this paper, we addressed three important factors regarding the deployment of tongue-print as a biometric tool. Since, a tongue-print dataset is not publicly available, our first objective to create a challenging tongue-print dataset. Understanding the context with generation of textual description from an input image is an active and challenging research topic in computer vision and natural language processing. However, in the case of Bengali language, the problem is still unexplored. In this paper, we address a standard approach for Bengali image caption generation though subsampling the machine translated dataset. Later, we use several pre-processing techniques with the state-of-the-art CNN-LSTM architecture-based models. The experiment is conducted on standard Flickr-8K dataset, along with several modifications applied to adapt with the Bengali language. The training caption subsampled dataset is computed for both Bengali and English languages for further experiments with 16 distinct models developed in the entire training process. The trained models for both languages are analyzed with respect to several caption evaluation metrics. Hyperspectral Image (HSI) store the reflectance values of a single scene or object in several continuous bands of electromagnetic spectrum. When the image is recorded, the information in some of the spectral bands gets mixed with noise. The classification accuracy of hyperspectral image varies inversely with the quantity and nature of noise present in the cluster of spectral bands. Thus, denoising is a fundamental prerequisite in image processing applications like classification, unmixing, etc. In this paper, we compare the effect of denoising via classification using Vectorized Convolutional Neural Network (VCNN), kernel based Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Grand Unified Regularized Least Squares (GURLS) classifiers. The classifiers are provided with raw data (without denoising) and denoised data using spectral and spatial Least Square (LS) techniques. Grading of prostate cancer is usually done using Transrectal Ultrasound (TRUS) biopsy followed by microscopic examination of histological images by the pathologist. TRUS is a painful procedure which leads to infections of severe nature. In the recent past, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has emerged as a modality which can be used for the diagnosis of prostate cancer without subjecting patients to biopsies. A novel method for grading of prostate cancer based on MRI utilizing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and LADTree classifier is explored in this paper. T2 weighted (T2W), high B-value Diffusion Weighted (BVALDW) and Apparent Diffusion Coefficient (ADC) MRI images obtained from the training dataset of PROSTATEx-2 2017 challenge are used for this study. A quadratic weighted Cohen's kappa score of 0.3772 is attained in predicting different grade groups of cancer and a positive predictive value of 81.58% in predicting high-grade cancer. The method also attained an unweighted kappa score of 0.3993, and weighted Area Under Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve (AUC), accuracy and F-score of 0.74, 58.04 and 0.56, respectively. A significant concern is the economic impact of agricultural diseases on the world's crop production. The disease significantly reduces agricultural production across the world. Loss of nutrients caused by parasite infection of leaves, pods, and roots–the pathogenic agent that causes fava bean rust disease–decreases crop health. This work addresses this requirement by offering an innovative deep-learning model approach for early identification and classification of fava bean rust disease. The suggested method uses the effectiveness of modern YOLO-based object detection architectures like You Only Look Once –Neural Architecture Search (YOLO-NAS) L, YOLO-NASM, and YOLO-NASS, Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (Faster R-CNN), and RetinaNet. An inclusive dataset of 3296 images of various lighting and background situations was selected for extensive model training. Each model underwent thorough training and adjusted parameters through careful experimentation. The models' comparative studies found significant performance differences. The precision for YOLO-NASL was 82.10%; for YOLO-NASM, it was 84.80%; for YOLO-NASS, it was 83.90%; for Faster R-CNN, it was 75.51%; and for RetinaNet, it was 73.74%. According to the evaluation, model complexity and detection accuracy are directly correlated. YOLO-NASL, YOLO-NASM, and YOLO-NASS showed remarkable mean average precision values of 90.90%, 94.10%, and 92.60%, respectively, and became highly functional models. The fastest model was YOLO-NASS. Its satisfying recognition speed made real-time detection possible in particular applications. The YOLO-NASM model, which shows an extraordinary state-of-the-art performance, represents the pinnacle of our work. Fire poses a significant threat to both lives and property, necessitating effective early detection measures. Despite challenges in identifying smoke and fire in their initial stages, we have devised a cost-efficient visual detection system. Early fire detection enhances its potential effectiveness. CCTV surveillance systems are now commonplace in developed countries, serving as tools for periodic monitoring of various locations. However, fluctuating ambient light conditions, camera angles, and seasonal variations can introduce data distortions, occlusions, and impact model accuracy. To address these issues, we've implemented a method combining deep learning networks and machine learning strategies for flame detection and direction classification. Our innovative QuickDenseNet extracts dense features from segmented flame video frames. We introduce the Ensemble Score Voted SVM (ESV-SVM), employing SVM as the primary learner and score voting as the auxiliary learner. One of the main forms of human energy production is thought to be plants, which also provide nutrients, cures, etc. Any damage or disease brought on by exposure to pathogens, viruses, bacteria, etc., while cultivating plants results in a decline in productivity, making it crucial to prevent such diseases and take the required precautions to avoid them. Nowadays, Coronavirus (COVID-19) considered one of the most critical pandemics in the earth. This is due its ability to spread rapidly between humans as well as animals. COVID-19 expected to outbreak around the world, around 70 % of the earth population might infected with COVID-19 in the incoming years. Therefore, an accurate and efficient diagnostic tool is highly required, which the main objective of our study. Manual classification was mainly used to detect different diseases, but it took too much time in addition to the probability of human errors. Automatic image classification reduces doctors diagnostic time, which could save human's life. We propose an automatic classification architecture based on deep neural network called Worried Deep Neural Network (WDNN) model with transfer learning. Comparative analysis reveals that the proposed WDNN model outperforms by using three pre-training models: InceptionV3, ResNet50, and VGG19 in terms of various performance metrics. Due to the shortage of COVID-19 data set, data augmentation was used to increase the number of images in the positive class, then normalization used to make all images have the same size. Experimentation is done on COVID-19 dataset collected from different cases with total 2623 where (1573 training, 524 validation, 524 test). Our proposed model achieved 99,046, 98,684, 99,119, 98,90 in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, F-score, respectively. The results are compared with both the traditional machine learning methods and those using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). Investigation of human face images forms an important facet in affective analysis. The work, a DL-based ensemble is proposed for this purpose. Seven pre-trained models namely Facenet, Facenet2018, VGG16, Resnet-50, Senet-50, Arcface and Openface that have been developed for face verification have been exploited and customized for emotion identification. To each of these models, each all over interaction with softmax method to classification groups are augmented and entire network is then trained completely for emotion recognition. After training all the models individually, the probabilities for each of the class by each of the model are summed to derive at the final value. The class that holds the highest of this value is finalized as the predicted emotion. Thus, the proposed methodology involves image collection, image pre-processing comprising of contrast enhancement, face detection and extraction, face alignment, image augmentation facilitating rotation, shifting, flipping and zooming transformations and appropriate resizing and rescaling, feature extraction and classification through ensemble of customized afore-mentioned pre-trained convolutional neural networks, evaluation and evolving of best weights for emotion recognition from face images with enhanced accuracy. The proposed methodology is evaluated on the well-established FER-2013 dataset. The methodology achieves a validation accuracy of 74.67% and test accuracy of 76.23%. Further, similar images of another dataset (Face Expression Recogniton dataset) are included for training the models and the impact of extra training is assessed to see if there is improvement in performance. This work aimed to develop a data glove for the real-time translation of Turkish sign language. In addition, a novel Fuzzy Logic Assisted ELM method (FLA-ELM) for hand gesture classification is proposed. In order to acquire motion information from the gloves, 12 flexibility sensors, two inertial sensors, and 10 Hall sensors were employed. The NVIDIA Jetson Nano, a small pocketable minicomputer, was used to run the recognition software. A total of 34 signal information was gathered from the sensors, and feature matrices were generated in the form of time series for each word. In addition, an algorithm based on Euclidean distance has been developed to detect end-points between adjacent words in a sentence. In addition to the proposed method, CNN and classical ANN methods, whose model was created by us, were used in sign language recognition experiments, and the results were compared. For each classified word, samples were collected from 25 different signers, and 3000 sample data were obtained for 120 words. Furthermore, the dataset's size was reduced using PCA, and the results of the newly created datasets were compared to the reference results. Positive developments in smartphone usage have led to an increase in malicious attacks, particularly targeting Android mobile devices. Android has been a primary target for malware exploiting security vulnerabilities due to the presence of critical applications, such as banking applications. Several machine learning-based models for mobile malware detection have been developed recently, but significant research is needed to achieve optimal efficiency and performance. The proliferation of Android devices and the increasing threat of mobile malware have made it imperative to develop effective methods for detecting malicious apps. This study proposes a robust hybrid deep learning-based approach for detecting and predicting Android malware that integrates Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). It also presents a creative machine learning-based strategy for dealing with unbalanced datasets, which can mislead the training algorithm during classification. The proposed strategy helps to improve method performance and mitigate over- and under-fitting concerns. The proposed model effectively detects Android malware. It extracts both temporal and spatial features from the dataset. A well-known Drebin dataset was used to train and evaluate the efficacy of all creative frameworks regarding the accuracy, sensitivity, MAE, RMSE, and AUC. The empirical finding proclaims the projected hybrid ConvLSTM model achieved remarkable performance with an accuracy of 0.99, a sensitivity of 0.99, and an AUC of 0.99. Lung cancer is a dangerous tumor that requires accurate diagnosis for effective treatment. Traditional diagnosis involves invasive and time-consuming histologic examination, and radiologists face challenges in localizing lung tumors. Deep neural convolutional networks are frequently used to locate lung cancer, but this is still difficult when not accounting for surrounding lung tissue. Despite progress in research, healthcare still uses deep learning models to improve the precision and sensitivity of large datasets. CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) accuracy standards are adequate, but image properties such as flips, construction, and other uncommon alignments diminish its efficiency. CNN also does not store the geometric distribution between scanned picture features. CT (Computed Tomography) and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scans require a method that takes into consideration the spatial information of picture characteristics, as they are vulnerable to alignment problems during the perusing process. To address these issues, the authors propose MCNet (MobileNetV2 with Capsule Network), a hybrid network that adopts feature extraction and categorization from MobileNetV2, and capsule network is used to overcome the limitations of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) when it comes to processing images with abnormal orientations, such as tilting or rotation. Although CNNs are effective in processing images presented in a standard orientation, they have difficulty handling variations in image orientation. In this work, MobileNetV2 serves as a backbone network for Capsule Networks in lung cancer diagnosis. The lung image collection dataset verifies the effectiveness of MCNet, and experimental results show that MCNet technology performs better than previous state-of-the-art techniques. Phishing is a major problem on darknets. Phishing is the practice of attacking an unaware person by pretending to be someone else to steal their digital data. In anonymous platforms such as the dark web or deep web of Tor, detecting the attacker or phishing attacks is a much more complicated practice. Generic phishing attacks can be easy to spot. Today's challenge is detecting the various attacks in the anonymous network is very hard. The intelligent factor of attacks can bypass traditional detection solutions. To solve the problem of complications in the Tor Network, this work focuses on the development of automated detection of vulnerable attacks in phishing-based Tor hidden services. The proposed model initially divides the attack parameters into three categories into Class A, Class B, and Class C based on technical perspectives and some defined threshold values. Next, the class A attacks (i.e. top level domain and protocol similarity) attacks are detected by a random forest (RF) classifier. Then, the class B attacks can be identified by the convolutional neural network (CNN). Finally, the LSTM model is applied for the accurate classification of multiple attacks in the Tor network. The experimental validation of the proposed model is tested using the CIRCL and AIL datasets. The experimental values highlighted the promising performance of the proposed model over other methods with a maximum overall detection accuracy of 95.60% and 95.77% on CIRCL and AIL datasets respectively. In the current market scenario, online customer reviews had a significant impact on boosting the sale of online products. Recently, there has been exponential growth in e-commerce industry owning to the online customer reviews. Over the years, researchers has observed the importance of online consumer reviews for purchasing online products. Hence, in this study, authors made an attempt to develop an efficient convolutional neural network (CNN) based classification model that aims to predict the usefulness of product reviews with higher accuracy on two different types of data sets (i.e., search product and experienced product). In our proposed study, to determine the usefulness of a review in terms of structural, linguistic, sentimental, lexical, and voting feature sets, we build a deep learning model to predict the review helpfulness as a binary classification problem. Lung cancer is a severe disease that may lead to death if left undiagnosed and untreated. Lung cancer recognition and segmentation is a difficult task in medical image processing. The study of Computed Tomography (CT) is an important phase for detecting abnormal tissues in the lung. The size of a nodule as well as the fine details of nodule can be varied for various images. Radiologists face a difficult task in diagnosing nodules from multiple images. Deep learning approaches outperform traditional learning algorithms when the data amount is large. One of the most common deep learning architectures is convolutional neural networks. Convolutional Neural Networks use pre-trained models like LeNet, AlexNet, GoogleNet, VGG16, VGG19, Resnet50, and others for learning features. This study proposes an optimized HDCCARUNet (Hybrid Dilated Convolutional Channel Attention Res-UNet) architecture, which combines an improved U-Net with a modified channel attention (MCA) block, and a HDAC (hybrid dilated attention convolutional) layer to accurately and effectively do medical image segmentation for various tasks. The attention mechanism aids in focusing on the desired outcome. The ability to dynamically allot input weights to neurons allows it to focus only on the most important information. In order to gather key details about different object features and infer a finer channel-wise attention, the proposed system uses a modified channel attention (MCA) block. The experiment is conducted on LIDC-IDRI dataset. The noises present in the dataset images are denoised by enhanced DWT filter and the performance is analysed at various noise levels. In the past few years, due to the increased usage of internet, smartphones, sensors and digital cameras, more than a million images are generated and uploaded daily on social media platforms. The massive generation of such multimedia contents has resulted in an exponential growth in the stored and shared data. Certain ever-growing image repositories, consisting of medical images, satellites images, surveillance footages, military reconnaissance, fingerprints and scientific data etc., has increased the motivation for developing robust and efficient search methods for image retrieval as per user requirements. The current research focuses on Content-based Image Retrieval (CBIR) and explores well-known transfer learning-based classifiers such as VGG16, VGG19, EfficientNetB0, ResNet50 and their variants. Accurate segmentation of brain tumor regions from magnetic resonance images continues to be one of the active topics of research due to the high usability levels of the automation process. Faster processing helps clinicians in identification at initial stage of tumor and hence saves valuable time taken for manual image analysis. This work proposes a Cascaded Layer-Coalescing (CLC) model using convolution neural networks for brain tumor segmentation. The process includes three layers of convolution networks, each with cascading inputs from the previous layer and provides multiple outputs segmenting complete, core and enhancing tumor regions. The initial layer identifies complete tumor, coalesces the discriminative features and the input data, and passes it to the core tumor detection layer. The core tumor detection layer in- turn passes discriminative features to the enhancing tumor identification layer. The information injection through data coalescing voxels results in enhanced predictions and also in effective handling of data imbalance, which is a major contributor in model viewpoint. Experiments were performed with Brain Tumor Segmentation (BraTS) 2015 data. A comparison with existing literature works indicate improvements up to35% in sensitivity, 27% in PPV and 28% in Dice Score, indicating improvement in the segmentation process. This study aims to automatically detect the tips of laparoscopic instruments, localize a point, evaluate the detection accuracy to provide valuable assessment and expedite the development of surgery skills and assess the trainees' performance using a Multi-Input-Single-Output Fuzzy Logic Supervisor system. The output of the fuzzy logic assessment is the performance evaluation for the surgeon, and it is quantified in percentages. Based on the experimental results, the trained SSD Mobilenet V2 FPN can identify each instrument at a score of 70% fidelity. On the other hand, the trained SSD ResNet50 V1 FPN can detect each instrument at the score of 90% fidelity, in each location within a region of interest, and determine their relative distance with over 65% and 80% reliability, respectively. This method can be applied in different types of laparoscopic tooltip detection. Because there were a few instances when the detection failed, and the system was designed to generate pass-fail assessment, we recommend improving the measurement algorithm and the performance assessment by adding a camera to the system and measuring the distance from multiple perspectives. Earlier detection of cervical cancer in women can save their lives before a chronic development. The accurate detection in cancer tissues of cervix in the human body is very important. In this article, cervical images were classified into either affected or healthy images using deep learning architecture. The proposed approach was designed with the modules of Edge detector, complex wavelet transform, feature derivation and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) architecture with segmentation. The edge pixels in the source cervical image were detected using Kirsch's edge detector, the Complex Wavelet Transform (CWT) was there used to decompose the edge detected cervical images into number of sub bands. Local Derivative Pattern (LDP) and statistical features were computed from the decomposed sub bands and feature map was constructed using the computed features. The featured map along with the source cervical image was fed into the Cervical Ensemble Network (CEENET) model for classifying of cervical images into the classes healthy or cancer (affected). Caption generation using an encoder-decoder approach has recently been extensively studied and implemented in various domains, including image captioning and code captioning. In this research article, we propose one particular approach for completing a capture generation task using an "attention"-based sequence-to-sequence framework that, when combined with a conventional encoder-decoder model, generates captions in an attention-based manner. ResNet-152 is a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based encoder that generates a comprehensive representation of an input image while embedding that into a fixed size length vector. To predict the next sentence, the decoder uses LSTM, a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and an attention-based mechanism to concentrate attention on certain sections of an image selectively. Define a set of epochs to 69, which should be enough for training the model to generate informative descriptions, and the validation loss has reached its minimum limit and no longer decreases. We present the datasets as well as the evaluation metrics, as well as quantitative and qualitative analysis. Experiments on the MSCOCO and Flickr8k benchmark datasets illustrate the model's efficacy in comparison to the baseline techniques. The refining of information from the immense amount of unstructured data on the internet can be a critical issue in identifying public opinion. It is difficult to extract relevant concepts from huge amounts of data. Concept level semantic parsing is improved over word-based investigation as it conserves the semantical data relevant to many-word articulations. The extraction of concepts from textual data is a significant step forward in content analysis at the concept stage. We present a CLSA-CapsNet method that extracts concepts from natural language text. Then the extracted concepts are applied in Capsule networks (CapsNet). Moreover, the integration of Concept Level Sentiment Analysis (CLSA) and Capsule Networks (CapsNet) has not yet been implemented on the hotel review dataset. This is the first attempt, which we researched and embraced by the capsule network, to develop classification models for hotel reviews. The developed results demonstrated excellent performance with a prediction accuracy of 86.6% for CLSA-CapsNet models, respectively. Various similarities have also been made across our techniques and they are implemented by some other deep learning algorithms, such as rnn-lstm. Overall, the outstanding success obtained by CLSA-CapsNet in this investigation highlights its ability in the hotel review dataset. Due to the growth of Big Data (BD) storage and access in cloud computing infrastructure, the detection of anomalies for Cloud Servers (CSs) is essential to ensure data confidentiality. Over the past decades, different security systems have been designed based on various methods like encryption, Access Policy (AP) control schemes, signcryption and so on. Among many security systems, a new Improved NTRU (INTRU) decryption based on the AP strategy has been suggested to secure the BD processed by the CSs. Also, the shared secret data was authenticated to defend the clients from anomalies in the cloud. But, the AP upgrade must not degrade the confidentiality of storing information, reveal trust in the CS or cause any different security challenges. It is not considered that such security challenges occur when the data owner shares its data with many CSs. Hence in this article, an INTRU with Detecting Anomalous in CS (INTRU-DACS) system is proposed that employs a deep learning-based Anomaly Detection System (ADS) to handle and secure the BD stored in the CSs. The main goal of this method is to effectively identify the abnormalities in the real world by the conduct utilization, i.e., the System Call Identifier Sequences (SCISs) created from CSs in which these conducts are associated with BD. Initially, effective data summarization is constructed via different feature states to analyze the SCISs of specific durations. After that, an anomaly identification algorithm is proposed to train and test the streaming of raw SC sequences. This observable SCs execution task of CSs is gathered from log files. The variations of such SCISs having a specified duration are random for usual and unusual sequences. So, the fact of current normal and abnormal services is recognized regarding their SCISs. Such normal and abnormal behavioral states are learned from Convolutional Neural Network-Hidden Markov Model (CNNHMM) classifier to identify the anomalies in CSs. But, it is still a challenging process because of the patterns of usual and unusual events. The performance is not effective since it models only the conduct of a huge number of SCISs created from a single CS. As a result, a Secure Access Control Scheme with DACS (SACS-DACS) system is proposed in which a Multidimensional Feature Misbehavior Server Detection method (MFMSD) is introduced for detecting anomalies in multiple CSs. In this method, large-scale SCISs of multiple CSs are extracted, including different features such as network traffic sequence features, CPU energy usage and memory usage from host logs. These extracted multidimensional features are fed to the CNNHMM that identifies the anomalies and maximizes the detection accuracy. Machinery operates well under normal conditions in most cases; far fewer samples are collected in a fault state (minority samples) than in a normal state, resulting in an imbalance of samples. Common machine learning algorithms such as deep neural networks require a significant amount of data during training to avoid overfitting. These models often fail to detect minority samples when the input samples are imbalanced, which results in missed diagnoses of equipment faults. As an effective method to enhance minority samples, Deep Convolution Generative Adversarial Network (DCGAN) does not fundamentally address the problem of unstable Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) training. This study proposes an improved DCGAN model with improved stability and sample balance for achieving greater classification accuracy over minority samples. First, spectral normalization is performed on each convolutional layer, improving stability in the DCGAN discriminator. Then, the improved DCGAN model is trained to generate new samples that are different from the original samples but with a similar distribution when the Nash equilibrium is reached. Four indices—Inception Score (IS), Fréchet Inception Distance Score (FID), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Structural Similarity (SSIM)—were used to quantitatively evaluate of the generated images. Finally, the Balance Degree of Samples (BDS) index was proposed, and the new samples are proportionally added to the original samples to improve sample balance, resulting in the formation of several groups of datasets with different balance degrees, and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models are used to classify these samples. With experimental analysis on the reciprocating compressor, the variance of lost data is found to be less than 1% of the original value, representing an increase in stabilityof the model to generate diverse and high-quality sample images, as compared with that of the unmodified model. Automatic logo detection and recognition is significantly growing due to the increasing requirements of intelligent documents analysis and retrieval. The main problem to logo detection is intra-class variation, which is generated by the variation in image quality and degradation. The problem of misclassification also occurs while having tiny logo in large image with other objects. To address this problem, Patch-CNN is proposed for logo recognition which uses small patches of logos for training to solve the problem of misclassification. The classification is accomplished by dividing the logo images into small patches and threshold is applied to drop no logo area according to ground truth. The architectures of AlexNet and ResNet are also used for logo detection. We propose a segmentation free architecture for the logo detection and recognition. In literature, the concept of region proposal generation is used to solve logo detection, but these techniques suffer in case of tiny logos. Proposed CNN is especially designed for extracting the detailed features from logo patches.
