The article focuses on the establishment of sight saving classes in the U.S. Educators found that children with defective vision present a very special teaching problem. In response to this problem, scientific methods are integrated in the teaching process. However, it is recommended that basic teaching methods in this type of special class should be modified to enable effective teaching to visually handicapped children.
