As a complement to the Epigraphic Survey of the preserved temple reliefs at Samanud, published in JEA 85 (1999), the urban context of the late dynastic temple is considered. GPS data from recent fieldwork is combined with older travellers' reports to create a map, the first to indicate the locations of the temple remains, while a working contour map of the tell is also produced. The article reports on the reliefs found in the temple of Onuris-Shu at Samanud and are rehoused by the Supreme Council for Antiquities in 1995. The reliefs were found at the temple which was built in the Thirtieth Dynasty and the early Ptolemaic Period. Such reliefs which were found in Sebennytos which consist of anepigraphic remnants including palmiform capitals that are written on the collection of blocks. The article has the purpose of increasing the knowledge of the readers on early Egyptian writings through the interpretation of the anepigraphic remnants contained therein.
