The article presents the classification of the Australian Rain forests. Information includes Australian rain forests' three formations like Tropical, Subtropical and Temperate. It mentions that the 12 classifications of rain forest formations are based on its physiognomic and structural features, such as leaf size, tree layers, emergents and the presence of special life forms, such as woody lianes and mossy epiphytes. Explanation on the diagnostic characters used in the classification is also discussed, including their significance.
