Abstract
A conference paper which discusses the White House Conference on Child Health and Protection that was first held in 1929 is presented. Difficulties that are faced by children in the U.S. are discussed, such as blindness and malnourishment. Plans that the government has to protect children in the U.S. are mentioned.

Abstract
Information about what wass discussed at the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) meeting that was held in March 1961 is presented. The funds that were made available for the publishing of meetings has increased from 248 to 356 and the contributing institutions went from 69 to 99. With that being noted, the average number of papers per institution has remained constant during the growth, even though the number of papers presented ranged from one to 25 per institution.
