Background: Aesthetics medicine, a controversial branch of clinical medicine known for its high degree of commercialization, faces numerous conflicts, particularly in some developing countries. The global aesthetics medicine industry requires enhancements of its legal and supervision framework and risk management systems. Aims: This paper aimed to provide a comprehensive visual analysis of academic achievements related to regulatory and legal issues in the field of aesthetic medicine and to identify its development trends and research hotspots. Methods: The Web of Science Core Collection was employed to retrieve relevant studies, resulting in a total of 602 research articles after selection. Utilizing bibliometric methods and CiteSpace, this study analyzed the primary countries, institutions, authors, journals, hotspots, frontiers, and trends in this domain. Results: The findings indicated rapid increases in the number of published papers. The United States emerged as the leading contributor with 131 research papers and the highest intermediate centrality. Eleven keyword clusters were identified, with "adolescence" and "office‐based surgery" being the most recent topics. We also analyzed the trends and frontiers of legal research in medical aesthetics. Conclusion: The importance of informed consent has been increasingly emphasized, and research in the field of medical aesthetics has been gradually expanding beyond individual cosmetic procedures. The management system has become more comprehensive, moreover, guidelines and medical laws have been continually published, with research shifting toward a holistic perspective that encompasses patients, medical aesthetic providers, and regulatory authorities in the study of medical aesthetics regulation and legislation. Background: Pigment Red 53 is a dangerous synthetic dye that is often added to cosmetics, even though its use in cosmetic products has been prohibited because of possible impacts on health. Faster and more sensitive detection of Pigment Red 53 is needed for onsite analysis to protect the community from illegal cosmetics that contain the dye. Indicator color charts are a kind of analytical method that can be used to detect Pigment Red 53 in cosmetic products, including lipstick, rouge, and eyeshadow. Such charts are practical, fast, and can be used for onsite analysis. Methods: In this study, an indicator for Pigment Red 53 detection was obtained through a reagent reaction that caused a specific color change. An indicator color chart was then produced by setting out in paper form the series of colors which resulted from the reaction of specific chemical reagents and Pigment Red 53 solutions at concentrations of 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 ppm. Results: The testing results showed that the indicator color chart may be used as an initial screening method for the detection of Pigment Red 53 in cosmetic products with a detectable minimum concentration of 10 ppm. Out of nine samples, only one (Eyeshadow 3) tested positive for Pigment Red 53. Further analysis was carried out on the indicator color chart and the results showed good agreement with TLC and UV–Vis spectrophotometry methods. Conclusion: The results reported in this paper demonstrate that the indicator color chart is a good prospective method for onsite analysis to detect Pigment Red 53 in cosmetic samples, with a lower detection limit compared to polymer‐based indicators. Background: The increasing popularity of cosmetic injections using various fillers and neuromodulators for facial rejuvenation has brought both new opportunities and challenges to this field. Aim: Our study was designed to employ bibliometric and visual analysis for a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of facial cosmetic injections, as well as to identify research trends and hotspots in this field. Methods: All publications covering facial cosmetic injection during 2002–2023 were retrieved and extracted from the Web of Science database. The VOSviewer 1.6.18 software and the online tool (http://bibliometric.com/) were applied to analyze the publication trend. Results: A total of 3797 articles related to facial cosmetic injection were identified during the period 2002–2023. The United States had the largest volume of publications (1520, 40.0%), followed by China (333, 8.8%) and Germany (282, 7.3%). Among the institutions and journals, the University of California system and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery accounted for the most papers related to facial cosmetic injection, respectively. Facial anatomy and injection techniques, prevention and management of complications, regenerative medicine, efficacy and safety of various soft‐tissue fillers, as well as botulinum toxin injections for facial rejuvenation were identified as hotspots for facial cosmetic injections. Conclusions: Facial cosmetic injections are showing an increasing trend in terms of both the number of published papers and operations performed. Despite the notable advancements in this field, numerous challenges persist, including safety concerns and the level of research evidence. With the emergence of novel technologies and materials, scholars from diverse countries and institutions should engage in more extensive collaboration, thereby directly expediting the progress of this field. Background: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a prevalent form of hair loss that affects both men and women, severely impacting patients' quality of life. Traditional treatments include oral medications, topical medications, and hair transplantation, but these methods have certain side effects and limitations. How to safely effectively and maximally promote hair growth has been a key issue in the treatment of AGA. In recent years, fractionated laser therapy, as a noninvasive method, has gradually gained attention due to its minimally invasive and highly effective nature. Aims: In this paper, we summarized the studies related to fractional laser treatment of AGA in the past 15 years, and discussed its therapeutic mechanism, clinical effect, future development direction, and advantages and disadvantages compared with traditional treatment methods in the treatment of AGA. Methods: An extensive literature search was conducted using PubMed, Google, Google Scholar, Embase, and Scopus. All available articles studying fractional laser treatment of AGA were compiled in March 2024. Titles and abstracts were then screened for relevance and thoroughly examined for patient clinical outcomes. Prospective clinical trials, retrospective chart reviews, case series, and individual case reports were included in the literature review. Conclusions: Fractional laser treatment of AGA showed remarkable efficacy and high safety. Compared with traditional treatments, fractional laser has the advantages of minimally invasive, quick recovery, fewer side effects, and a wide range of population applicability, providing an effective treatment option for AGA patients. Background: Cosmetic dermatology is a growing field as more patients are seeking treatments for esthetic concerns. Traditionally, practitioners and patients utilize their own perceptions, current beauty standards, and manual observation to determine their satisfaction with cosmetic interventions. Artificial intelligence (AI) can be introduced into cosmetic dermatology to provide objective data‐driven recommendations to both dermatologists and patients. Objective: The purpose of this paper is to compose a unified review that illustrates the various facets of artificial intelligence and formulate a hypothesis regarding the new implications of artificial intelligence in cosmetic dermatology specifically. Methods: A comprehensive search on PubMed was conducted to identify the available information related to AI in cosmetic dermatology. The search was conducted using a combination of keywords including "cosmetic dermatology" and "artificial intelligence." Results: The current literature indicates that AI models offer personalized, efficient, and result‐driven outputs that can enhance cosmetic outcomes, patient satisfaction, and overall experience. Conclusion: Artificial intelligence integration in cosmetic dermatology shows a promising future, offering the ability to analyze vast data sets and deliver a tailored patient experience. Hybrid and picosecond lasers are highlighted for their versatility and effectiveness in addressing a wide array of skin concerns. The findings also emphasize the development of safer treatment protocols for ethnic skin, significantly reducing risks like hyperpigmentation and scarring, thus broadening the scope of effective dermatological solutions. Background: Botulinum toxin has been widely and mainly used for the treatment of conditions affecting the upper and middle face; however, recent efforts have expanded the indications of botulinum toxin injection to the lower face and neck areas for cosmetic and medical purposes. Aims: We have reviewed the latest updates on using botulinum toxin in the lower face and neck focusing on cosmetic purposes and have discussed the existing concerns as well as the adverse sequelae of these newer indications. Patients/Methods: A comprehensive literature search was performed using the following keywords [[botulinum] AND [[Toxin] OR [Neurotoxin]]] AND [[Lower AND Face] AND/OR [Neck]] within the main databases including Web of Science, PubMed, Embase and gray literature on and before February 2023. The data were screened using titles and abstracts and those relevant to the topic were included in the paper. Results: Botulinum toxin injection has considerable cosmetic and therapeutic effect on facial contouring, masseteric hypertrophy, lower face and neck scars, gummy smile, drooping lip corner and even skin rejuvenation. Conclusion: BNT injection has been widely used for the treatment of different medical and cosmetic purposes. Low rates of side effects, which were self‐limited in most cases, have been reported in the literature, making BNT a safe therapeutic medication in most cases. However, regulatory status needs to be updated and more accurately revised in many countries and more comprehensive research is required to address the existing gaps in this area including the site, dosage, and method of injection in each case. ABSTRACT Background Methods Results Conclusion Systematic Review Registration Recently, numerous topical products containing plant‐based ingredients have been reported to resist skin aging. However, there is a lack of sufficient evidence to substantiate these claims. This paper presents a comprehensive review and meta‐analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of topical products containing plants or plant extracts in anti‐aging.Four databases—PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library (CENTRAL)—were systematically searched for articles related to plant‐based interventions and skin aging, covering the period from January 2000 to December 2024. A total of eight randomized controlled trials (RCTs) met the inclusion criteria and were included in the meta‐analysis.Products containing plant extracts demonstrated a statistically significant difference in improving skin hydration and skin elasticity, reducing melanin and erythema compared to other products. No significant statistical difference was observed in reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Subgroup analysis revealed a significant statistical difference in improvement overall skin elasticity (R2) during short‐term (≤ 8 weeks)treatments, while no statistical difference was observed during long‐term (> 8 weeks)treatments. Additionally, no significant difference was observed in the specific measurements of skin elasticity, including R5 (net elasticity) and R7 (the ratio of elastic recovery to total deformation). Objective: To review the technique and outcomes of using dermal filler to camouflage forehead osteoma, providing a minimally invasive alternative to surgical excision. Background: Forehead osteoma, commonly known as a forehead bump or bone spur, can be a cosmetic concern. Surgical excision, while effective, carries risks of scarring and postoperative complications. An innovative approach using dermal filler offers a potential solution. Methods: A hyaluronic acid‐based filler is injected into the deep subcutaneous plane over the bony prominence using a cannula. The fanning technique ensures even distribution of the filler. The procedure's safety, patient selection, and communication between the injector and patient are emphasized to achieve optimal results. Results: The technique provides immediate aesthetic improvement with results that can last up to 12 months, depending on the filler used. While generally safe, potential complications include infections, swelling, asymmetry, and lumpiness. Proper technique, patient selection, and good communication between the injector and patient are critical to achieving optimal outcomes. Objective: Using bibliometric methods, this study analyzed and summarized the current situation and development of the global application of botulinum toxin in dermatology. Methods: Literature published in the Web of Science Core Collection database from January 1, 2000 to October 28, 2023 was searched for topics such as "Botulinum toxin," "Dermatology," and so forth. The number of publications, countries, institutions, journals, authors, cited literature, keywords, and so forth, were analyzed and a visual knowledge map was created using scientometric tools such as CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Scimago Graphica. Results: A total of 2039 documents were retrieved and 1877 documents were included after de‐duplication and transformation. The country with the highest number of published periodical articles was the United States; the main research institution was Yonsei University; the author with the highest number of published periodical articles was Kim, Hee Jin; and the high‐frequency keywords mainly related to indications, combination therapy, and safety optimization. Conclusion: The results of this study provide information on the current status and trends in clinical studies of botulinum toxin in dermatology, which will help researchers identify hotspots and explore new research directions in this field. Background: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), also referred to as male or female pattern hair loss, is the commonest cause of chronic hair loss and affects up to 80% of men by the age of 70. Despite a high prevalence, there are few approved therapies, which show minimal efficacy. Objectives: This systematic review aims to evaluate the efficacy of platelet‐rich plasma (PrP) in the treatment of AGA in male patients. Methods: MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane (CENTRAL), CINAHL, clinicaltrials.gov, Google Scholar and the Science Citation Index database were searched to identify eligible studies. All randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and prospective cohort studies related to PrP use in AGA were included. Primary outcomes included changes in hair density and hair count. Methodological quality was assessed using bias assessment tools. Results: Eight RCTs and one cohort study were included in the review with a total of 291 participants. Six studies reported a statistically significant increase in hair density in the PrP group versus the control. Five studies reported a statistically significant increase in hair count with PrP. Seven studies showed moderate risk and two showed low risk of bias. Conclusion: In a methodologically robust review on the effectiveness of PrP on male AGA, PrP demonstrated some potential to be used therapeutically. However, the low quality of evidence, moderate risk of bias, and high heterogeneity of included studies limit inferences and call for more robust designs to investigate this further. Background: Several studies have been conducted on using platelet‐rich plasma (PRP) to treat cosmetic issues. Nonetheless, no bibliometric analyses of publications in this field exist. Bibliometrics is an effective tool for methodically assessing the current state of research on a particular topic. This study examines the literature published in this field since 2000 and depicts the resulting network. Methods: The Web of Science Core Collection was searched for any publications mentioning the use of PRP in cosmetic or aesthetic therapy published between 2001 and 2022. The author, region, institution, journal, cited journal, and keywords were extracted, and the bibliometric analysis was carried out using CiteSpace and R studio. Results: There were a total of 306 items retrieved. The first publication in this field appeared in 2001, and the number of articles published increased over the next 21 years. Saedi Nazanin is the author with the most publications. The most prolific nations and institutions were the United States and the Fourth Military Medical University, respectively. Similarly, most articles and citations were found in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After performing a cluster analysis on the keywords of published publications, we discovered that most of the published literature focused on using PRP in rejuvenation, mechanism, and combination with MSCs. These topics are still at the frontier of future research. Conclusion: Since the first study in this field was published in 2001, PRP used in cosmetic clinics has been studied. Although early effects have been observed, numerous challenges remain, including a lack of higher‐quality clinical studies and explanations of PRP's mechanism. Background: UV rays not only cause oxidative damage to the skin, but also damage its barrier function. The use of sunscreen is crucial in preventing skin from UV radiation, but it may have an impact on the function of the skin barrier. While much research has focused on the protective effects of sunscreen against UV oxidative damage, little is known about the impact of daily sunscreen use on the skin barrier. Objective: This study mainly investigated the changes in skin barrier function of volunteers (including those with sensitive skin) before and after using a ceramide‐containing sunscreen. Methods: A total of 60 volunteers used SPF30 sunscreen containing ceramide every morning. Using non‐invasive methods to detect skin barrier changes in TEWL, hydration, facial redness based on VISIA‐CR image, and Erythema index (EI) value after 4 weeks of using ceramide‐containing sunscreen. Adverse reactions were also assessed. Results: After 4 weeks of using ceramide‐containing sunscreen, significant reductions were observed in skin redness with both an 11.89% decrease in a* value and a 5.68% decrease in skin EI, while there was also a significant decrease in transepidermal water loss (TEWL) with a reduction of 22.96%, and a significant increase in skin hydration with a 21.96% increase in the moisture content of the stratum corneum. No adverse events occurred during the entire testing process. Background: Hair loss is linked to dysfunction of the growth (anagen), regression (catagen) and rest (telogen) phases of the hair follicle (HF) cycle. Aims: To evaluate the effects of a Silybum marianum extract (SME), manganese PCA (MnPCA), and a Lespedeza capitata extract (LCE) on markers of hair growth and anchorage in human follicle dermal papilla cells (HFDPCs), and to investigate the ability of a topical serum containing these active ingredients to improve HF growth in an ex vivo human scalp skin model. Methods: In HFDPCs, we assessed receptor tyrosine kinase phosphorylation and Wnt/β‐catenin pathway activation; quantified versican, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and Dickkopf‐1 (DDK1) secretion; and evaluated 5α‐reductase (5αR) activity. Using scalp skin biopsies from two female donors, we measured hair shaft elongation, analyzed hair matrix keratinocyte proliferation and apoptosis, and determined HF cycle stage and score. Results: Compared to untreated HFDPCs, SME upregulated phosphorylation of growth factor receptors (EGFR:1.9 × and PDGFR: 2.8 ×) and their downstream effectors (ERK, GSK3, Akt, and STAT: 1.2–2.0 ×); MnPCA enhanced versican (33.0 ×) and VEGF (3.3 ×) secretion, and stimulated the Wnt/β‐catenin pathway (+80%); and LCE reduced DKK1 secretion (−72%) and 5αR activity (dihydrotestosterone/testosterone ratio: −60%). Compared to untreated scalp skin biopsies, the serum enhanced hair shaft elongation (+102%), and significantly prolonged the anagen phase by improving hair cycle scores and stimulating hair matrix keratinocyte proliferation (+58%). Background: Cocoa powder derived from the Theobroma cacao plant is rich in polyphenols, such as catechin and epicatechin. These polyphenols are strong antioxidants when consumed orally; however, their ability to enter the stratum corneum following the topical application has never been demonstrated. Objective: The objective of this study was to demonstrate the deposition of catechin and epicatechin in the stratum corneum following the topical application of 6% aqueous cocoa powder 1 and 2 h after application. Methods: Five healthy female subjects aged 25–60 years were enrolled. A 6% aqueous cocoa powder solution was prepared and applied to two randomized designated spots on the left forearm. 2 cc of the solution was applied under a ¼‐inch gauze square covered with plastic wrap and held in place with a Coban dressing. The 15 d‐squame 7/8‐inch circular tape strips were applied to the predetermined area on the forearm 1 h and 2 h after application of the 6% cocoa powder solution. The tape strips were immediately placed in a −80°C freezer for storage until extraction in preparation for LC–MS evaluation for catechin and epicatechin levels. Results: More catechin and epicatechin were detected at 2 h than 1 h for both compounds, although the difference was not statistically significant. Higher epicatechin levels than catechin levels were detected from the cocoa powder at both time points. This is consistent with published data from food‐grade cocoa powder. Background: Aesthetic neuromodulator injections of the upper face are frequently performed to temporarily block muscular actions of the periorbital muscles to ultimately reduce skin rhytids. However, the adverse event rate in the literature for toxin‐induced blepharoptosis ranges from 0.51% to 5.4%. Objective: To identify access pathways by which injected neuromodulator product can travel from extra‐ to intra‐orbital and therefore affect the levator palpebrae superioris muscle. Methods: Nine non‐embalmed human body donors were investigated in this study with a mean age at death of 72.8 (16.1) years. The 18 supraorbital regions were injected in 28 times (14 for supratrochlear and 14 for supraorbital) with 0.5 cc, whereas eight cases (four for supratrochlear and four supraorbital) were injected with 0.1 cc of colored product. Anatomic dissections were conducted to identify structures stained by the injected color. Results: The results of this injection‐ and dissection‐based study revealed that both the supratrochlear and the supraorbital neurovascular bundles are access pathways for injected neuromodulator products to reach the intra‐orbital space and affect the levator palpebrea superioris muscle. Out of 36 conducted injection passes, seven (19.44%) resulted in affection of the sole elevator of the eyelid of which 100% occurred only at an injection volume of 0.5 cc and not at 0.1 cc. Conclusion: Clinically, the results indicate that a low injection volume, a superficial injection for the supraorbital location, and angling the needle tip away from the supratrochlear foramen (toward the contralateral temple) when targeting the corrugator supercilii muscles, can increase the safety profile of an aesthetic toxin glabellar treatment. Background: Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling produces patient discomfort which deters patients from completing the recommended treatment series. Objective: The primary objective was to determine the tolerability, safety, and efficacy of a neurocosmetic postprocedure cream post‐RF microneedling in reducing patient discomfort and enhancing recovery across the length of the study and, secondarily, to evaluate against a leading comparator. The third objective was to evaluate the efficacy of the neurocosmetic on self‐perceived improvement and objective grading. Materials and Methods: An Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved, fourteen‐day, randomized, single‐center, double‐blind, controlled clinical case study was conducted with 11 healthy female subjects, 6 randomized to the neurocosmetic and 5 to the comparator cell. Following a 7‐day washout period, subjects received RF microneedling (face and neck) and applied the postprocedure cream twice daily for 7 days. Objective and subjective tolerability, self‐assessments, and clinical photography were performed immediately postprocedure, 24 h, three and seven days following the procedure. Results: The neurocosmetic was tolerable and safe. Erythema and stinging immediately decreased postprocedure, postneurocosmetic application. After 24 h, 83% favorably agreed the neurocosmetic "reduced irritation on the skin post‐procedure," and after 7 days, 100% favorably agreed "experience with the product was positive and I would be interested in returning for a second treatment." The neurocosmetic reduced skin tone redness in the face and neck faster and to a greater degree when measured against a comparator. Conclusion: The neurocosmetic postprocedure cream improved patient discomfort and enhanced recovery when used immediately post‐RF microneedling and after 7 days. Background: Open skin wounds increase the risk of infections and can compromise health. Therefore, applying medications to promote healing at the injury site is crucial. In practice, direct drug delivery is often difficult to maintain for a long time due to rapid absorption or wiping off, which reduces the efficiency of wound healing. Consequently, the development of bioactive materials with both antibacterial and wound‐healing properties is highly desirable. Methods: This study synthesized liposomes loaded with glycyrrhizic acid (GA) and asiaticoside (AS) by film dispersion‐ultrasonication method, which were then incorporated into a GelMA solution and cross‐linked by ultraviolet light to form a bioactive composite hydrogel for wound dressings. Results: This hydrogel is conducive to the transport of nutrients and gas exchange. Compared with GelMA hydrogel (swelling rate 69.8% ± 5.7%), the swelling rate of GelMA/Lip@GA@AS is lower, at 52.1% ± 1.0%. GelMA/Lip@GA@AS also has better compression and rheological properties, and the in vitro biodegradability is not significantly different from that of the collagenase‐treated group. In addition, the hydrogel polymer has a stable drug release rate, good biocompatibility, and an angiogenic promoting effect. In vitro experiments prove that, at concentrations of 0.5, 1, 2, and 3 mg/mL, GelMA/Lip@GA@AS can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus. Conclusion: We synthesized GelMA/Lip@GA@AS hydrogel and found it possesses advantageous mechanical properties, rheology, and biodegradability. Experimental results in vitro showed that the bioactive hydrogel could efficiently release drugs, exhibit biocompatibility, and enhance angiogenesis and antimicrobial effects. Background: Oral isotretinoin is the most effective systemic treatment for acne patients who fail to respond to other forms of therapies. However, hesitations and concerns regarding its side effect profile may detain the patients from treatment. This study aimed to develop and validate the Isotretinoin Hesitancy Scale (IHS) among acne patients. Methods: A cross‐sectional study was conducted with 100 acne patients who had not used isotretinoin previously. A 22‐item scale was created based on the related literature and expert opinions. The items of the scale related to beliefs and worries about isotretinoin were formatted with response options: agree, indecisive, and disagree. In this study, construct validity was tested with exploratory factor analysis, and reliability was tested with internal consistency and split‐half reliability. Results: The results of exploratory factor analysis indicated a three‐factor solution with a total of 14 items, explaining 57% of the total variance. The first factor (Hesitancy Related to Reversible Adverse Effects: 6 items) accounted for 30% of the variance, the second factor (Hesitancy Related to Irreversible Adverse Effects: 4 items) accounted for 16% of the variance and the third factor (Isotretinoin‐related Anxiety: 4 items) accounted 11% of the variance. The internal consistency of the three factors was calculated as 0.79, 0.78, and 0.72, respectively. The Cronbach's alpha score of the total scale was found to be 0.81, and split‐half reliability was found to be 0.87. Conclusions: The IHS is the first scale that provides a valid and reliable assessment of isotretinoin hesitancy in acne patients. Background: Acne vulgaris presents a substantial clinical challenge due to its complex pathophysiology and significant impact on quality of life. Identification of novel therapeutic targets for acne using genetic tools can guide the development of more effective treatments. Methods: Utilizing a dataset comprising 35 559 Icelandic individuals, we performed proteomic analyses to quantify 4709 circulating proteins. We integrated these data with acne‐specific genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) encompassing 34 422 acne patients and 364 991 controls. Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses employed the TwoSampleMR tool and Summary‐data‐based Mendelian Randomization (SMR) to estimate the causal effects of identified proteins on acne risk. Colocalization analyses assessed the likelihood of shared genetic etiology between protein levels and acne using the "coloc" R package. Results: Our proteome‐wide MR analysis initially identified 128 proteins potentially associated with acne risk. Following multiple testing corrections using the Benjamini–Hochberg method, fatty acid synthase (FASN) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 4 (TIMP4) remained significantly associated with acne risk. FASN exhibited a protective effect against acne (OR = 0.768, 95% CI: 0.676–0.872, p = 4.685E‐05), while TIMP4 was associated with an increased risk (OR = 1.169, 95% CI: 1.103–1.241, p = 1.956E‐07). Colocalization analysis supported a shared genetic basis for these protein‐acne associations, with posterior probabilities indicating strong evidence of shared causal variants. Conclusion: Our findings highlight the utility of integrative genomic approaches in identifying potential therapeutic targets for acne. FASN and TIMP4, in particular, demonstrate strong potential as targets for therapeutic intervention, pending further validation through clinical research. Background: Public health and social measures (PHSMs) are considered the most effective approaches for controlling epidemic diseases. This study aimed to explore variations in the time‐dependent characteristics of and public preferences for cosmetic treatments during and after the implementation of PHSMs during the COVID‐19 pandemic. Method: Medical records from six medical institutions were extracted retrospectively. Time–series analyses were conducted to reveal the variations in characteristics in volume and proportion of cosmetic treatments according to PHSMs. A cross‐sectional study was conducted with online questionnaire designed for the general population during and after the implementation of PHSMs. Result: A total of 141 033 records were included in this retrospective study. The implementation of PHSMs led to extremely low treatment volumes; compared with the increases in private hospitals, the treatment volumes in public hospitals exhibited earlier and more significant increases, even higher than pre‐PHSM levels (p < 0.05), which mainly contributed to the increase in plastic surgery volumes during and after the implementation of PHSMs. The differences in the anxiety state, self‐perceived appearance, and cosmetic treatment intentions of the participants were illustrated during and after PHSMs. We further demonstrated the participants' decisions on cosmetic treatments after the implementation of PHSMs during the COVID‐19 pandemic. Conclusion: The immediate effects and aftereffects of PHSMs on cosmetic treatments were different in public and private hospitals. Furthermore, as PHSMs guided the adjustment of cosmetic treatments in the post‐COVID‐19 era, the intention to undergo cosmetic treatment during PHSMs was associated with the anxiety states and preferences of the population. Background: Atrophic acne scars (AAS) are disfiguring and permanent changes caused by inflammatory acne. Fractional carbon dioxide is a common ablative device used to treat this condition. However, issues such as unclear effectiveness, frequent treatments, and potential side effects exist. In recent years, recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF) has also been frequently reported for its application in the treatment of acne scars. Objective: To explore the potential synergistic effect of fractional carbon dioxide laser combined with rhEGF in AAS treatment. Methods: We enrolled 15 patients with AAS. They received fractional carbon dioxide laser treatment and were then randomly assigned to receive either rhEGF or a placebo on one side of the face. The procedure was repeated three times, and the results were evaluated using the échelle d'évaluation clinique des cicatrices d'acné (ECCA) score and analyzed using the CBS camera system, 3D analysis (3DMD). Reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) examination was also conducted. Results: Both sides exhibited significant improvement in the appearance of the acne scars after treatment, as confirmed by the ECCA score, 3DMD data, and CBS texture score. On the rhEGF‐treated side, the pore number and epidermal pigment area significantly improved as compared to the control side, whereas no significant differences were observed in the other data. Under RCM, a significant increase in epidermal thickness and appearance of reticular collagen fibers in the dermal layer after treatment was observed. Conclusion: Compared to the sole use of laser, the combination of fractional carbon dioxide laser and rhEGF does not significantly enhance scar therapeutic effects. Objective: The primary aim of this systematic review and meta‐analysis was to synthesize and compare the clinical efficacy of intense pulsed light (IPL) and pulsed‐dye laser (PDL) therapies for the management of rosacea. Methods: The literatures were searched in the Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases to identify relevant studies investigating the use of IPL and PDL for the treatment of rosacea. Screening of the retrieved articles and data extraction were performed as per the pre‐established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The primary outcome measures evaluated in this meta‐analysis included clearance rates, erythema scores, and pain scores. Results: The meta‐analysis incorporated data from four studies involving a total of 141 participants. The meta‐analysis did not reveal a statistically significant difference between IPL and PDL in the rate of achieving greater than 50% clearance (RR = −0.07, 95% CI: −0.19, 0.05). However, the IPL group demonstrated a significantly higher rate of clearance exceeding 75% compared to the PDL group (RR = −0.13, 95% CI: −0.23, −0.04). The change in erythema index, a key measure of rosacea severity, was similar between the two treatment modalities (SMD = −0.15, 95% CI: −0.55, 0.26). Interestingly, the PDL group reported a notably lower VAS pain score than the IPL group (SMD = 1.54, 95% CI: 0.08, 3.00). Conclusion: Either PDL or IPL appears to be effective modalities for the management of rosacea. IPL exhibits a slight advantage in achieving a higher rate of substantial (>75%) clearance, while PDL may be preferable for patients with lower tolerance for post‐treatment discomfort. However, the existing literature directly comparing these two laser/light‐based therapies is limited, warranting further well‐designed, large‐scale studies to establish the optimal treatment algorithm for this chronic inflammatory skin condition. Background: Periorbital hyperpigmentation (POH) is a common cosmetic problem with a negative impact on the patient's self‐confidence, leading to a decrease in the quality of life. Current treatments include topical agents and mesotherapy, but research remains limited. Aims: Due to the undesirable effect of the available treatments, the present study was designed to compare the effectiveness of platelet‐rich plasma (PRP) injection and intradermal injection of tranexamic acid plus vitamin C mesotherapy as a therapeutic method to treat POH. Methods: Patients received an intradermal injection of PRP randomly on one side and an intradermal injection of tranexamic acid + vitamin C on the other side of their face, for three sessions with an interval of 3 weeks. Digital photography was taken, and data were assessed based on physician global assessment (PGA) and patient satisfaction. Results: Eighteen patients were studied. Among all, 12 patients had a positive family history, 2 had asthma, and 4 had a history of atopic dermatitis. Even though patient satisfaction was higher in the PRP group than in mesotherapy, it was not statistically significant. Both groups showed similar rates of improvement. However, improvement rates did not significantly differ based on various factors including gender, skin type, family history, or medical history. Age and the age of disease onset also did not significantly affect the improvement rates. Conclusion: Both methods revealed successful results in the reduction of POH. Background: Acne vulgaris is a common inflammatory skin disease that occurs during puberty, affecting approximately 85% of young adults and may persist into adulthood. The pathophysiology of acne is multifactorial, involving hormonal, inflammatory, and immune mechanisms. Isotretinoin is widely used for treating severe cystic acne or recurrent acne. This medication is considered a pharmacological option that significantly reduces sebum secretion, leading to a reduction in the size of sebaceous glands. It also induces a lack of differentiation in sebaceous cysts, resulting in a decrease in lipid accumulation. Method: This research is a prospective study. Patient contact details were obtained directly from those visiting the dermatology clinic, and they were monitored for a duration of 3 months. Essential data was gathered through patient examinations and inquiries at the clinic, including the prescription of tests prior to initiating isotretinoin treatment. Furthermore, follow‐up tests and examinations were performed within the initial and third months post‐treatment commencement. Results: Sixty‐two patients participated in the study, selected through non‐probability (convenience) sampling. The therapeutic dose taken by patients was 20 mg of isotretinoin daily (n = 49) or every other day (n = 13). Among the participants, six patients experienced a decrease of 3 units or more in HDL levels, while 16 patients saw an increase of 3 units or more in LDL levels, 3 months after beginning the treatment. Additionally, the triglyceride (TG) levels increased by 9 units or more in six individuals, and the blood sugar (BS) levels increased by 5 units or more in nine individuals, 3 months after treatment initiation. Moreover, one person's waist circumference increased by 1.5 cm 3 months after treatment began. The average weight of the individuals at the end of the treatment rose from 60.74 kg to 61.12 kg. However, this weight increase was not statistically significant. (p > 0.05). Conclusion: In general, the results of our study show that the use of oral isotretinoin as a treatment option for the management of acne vulgaris can be effective when administered at the correct dosage, offering a safe and low‐complication option. Background: Keratosis pilaris (KP) is a prevalent benign dermatological condition characterized by small bumps at the hair follicles alongside surrounding redness, significantly impacting both aesthetics and mental well‐being. Objective: This study investigated the potential benefits of a non‐cross‐linked hyaluronic acid (HA) compound for treating KP. Methods: A split‐body, investigator‐blinded, randomized, intraindividual comparative clinical trial was conducted. The non‐cross‐linked HA compound was injected into KP‐affected regions on both upper arms. The treatment was delivered across four sessions scheduled at 4‐week intervals. Blinded physicians and patients assessed differences in erythema, skin roughness, and overall scores between treated and control areas at the final follow‐up visit. At the 12th and 24th weeks post‐treatment, a four‐point scale was utilized to assess subjects' perceived treatment efficacy. Additionally, dermoscopic images, histological alterations, and adverse events were monitored. Results: Physician assessments revealed a significant reduction in roughness and overall scores for treated areas compared to controls. Patient self‐assessments also reflected improvements in roughness, redness, and overall scores for treated sides at the final visit, with 35.71% of patients demonstrating sustained improvement in redness and 71.43% reporting persistent improvements in roughness at 24th weeks post‐treatment. The dermatoscopic examinations revealed a notable enhancement in both the quantity of follicular plugs and the extent of erythema among the subjects in the treatment group. Histopathological outcomes also demonstrated improvement. Conclusion: This study suggests that the non‐cross‐linked HA compound effectively improves skin roughness and promotes hair shaft growth in KP treatment, demonstrating a favorable safety profile. Objective: Environmental factors are important in the generation or aggravation of sensitive skin syndrome (SSS). Creams can be useful for patients with SSS, particularly when triggering factors cannot be avoided. Several clinical studies have investigated the safety and efficacy of specific creams in patients with SSS, but the majority were assessed with a single type of triggering factor and were non‐comparative. Therefore, this study's aim was to investigate, the benefit of a specific dermo‐cosmetic product in response to physical and chemical factors in subjects with SSS. Methods: Three clinical studies were performed on subjects presenting SSS. The physical impact was assessed in a stripping test, and in a randomized intra‐individual study with a newly developed heat–cold stress model. To assess chemical factors, a capsaicin test on the nasolabial fold was performed. Results: The product significantly reduced the increase in skin microcirculation caused by stripping after 30 min versus. The untreated condition (45.8% vs. 62.0%; p < 0.01). Immediately and at D28, the product induced a significant increase in skin hydration even after a heat–cold stress, while the overall score of unpleasant symptoms significantly decreased compared with the control (8.1 vs. 10.7 and 3.7 vs. 8.0, respectively; p < 0.01). Regarding chemical factors, a significant difference in the sensation intensity (p < 0.001) was observed after capsaicin stress, also in terms of the sensation duration due to the product application versus the control (192 s vs. 403 s; p < 0.001). Conclusion: These studies show that topical application of a dermo‐cosmetic product can prevent unpleasant symptoms and improve the skin state in SSS exposed to physical and chemical triggering factors. Background: Methimazole, an oral antithyroid drug, has recently gained attention for its skin‐brightening effects when applied topically to treat melasma. This study aims to develop, optimize, and characterize a methimazole microemulsion as a novel, safe approach for local melasma treatment. Materials and Methods: We prepared microemulsion formulations containing 3% methimazole by combining appropriate amounts of surfactants (Tween 80 and Span 20), propylene glycol cosurfactant, and an oil phase (oleic acid‐transcutol p at a 1:10 ratio). We then assessed droplet size, stability, viscosity, and skin permeation using rat skin models. Results: The microemulsions' droplet sizes ranged from 7.06 to 28.13 nm, with viscosities between 120 and 254 centipoises. Our analysis identified droplet size, viscosity, and membrane release as significant independent variables. We determined the permeability parameters of the optimal formulation through rat skin, including steady‐state permeability rate (Jss), permeability coefficient (p), lag time (Tlag), and apparent diffusion coefficient (Dapp). Conclusion: We found that the microemulsions' characteristics, physicochemical properties, and in vitro release depended on the surfactant‐to‐cosurfactant ratio, water content, and oil content. We developed an optimal formulation with a high surfactant‐to‐cosurfactant ratio and low water and oil percentages. Background: Sensitive skin is a highly prevalent problem. The objective of the study was to assess whether the tested products are effective and safe in terms of improving the symptoms of sensitive skin. Methods: A clinical randomized split‐face study was carried out on 24 healthy female subjects. Three cosmetic combinations were tested versus vehicle: product A (Solía Thermal Spring Water–TSW–from Cantabria, Spain + diatom algae–P. tricornutum–extract), product B (Solía TSW + diatom algae extract + Annona cherimola Fruit Extract) and product C (Solía TSW + diatom algae extract + Annona cherimola Fruit Extract + niacinamide). Prior to each application of the study Product (A, B, or C)/vehicle, 10% of aqueous solution of capsaicin to induce skin irritation was applied, mimicking the symptoms of sensitive skin. Stinging and burning sensations were evaluated at different time points. Results: All three tested products A, B, and C showed to act better in calming the symptoms induced by capsaicin when compared to the vehicle. Background: Eyebrows play a crucial role in the human body. While Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a widely utilized and highly effective treatment for typical eyebrow deficiencies, it may not yield satisfactory outcomes for patients with post‐traumatic eyebrow scars and defects. Objective: A prospective comparative clinical study was conducted to explore the treatment outcomes of post‐traumatic eyebrow scars accompanied by defects using a combination of ablative fractional CO2 laser therapy with FUE. Method: Between January 2019 and January 2023, we enrolled 30 patients with post‐traumatic eyebrow scars and accompanying eyebrow defects, randomly assigning them to experimental and control groups. Patients in the control group received FUE treatment exclusively, whereas patients in the experimental group underwent CO2 fractional laser therapy on the eyebrow scars prior to FUE treatment. Alongside the patients' baseline data and the quantity of transplanted follicular units during surgery, we will compare the follicular survival rates between the two groups at 6 and 12 months post‐treatment. Results: Prior to FUE, there were no notable variances in baseline data between the two‐patient groups. At 6 and 12 months postoperatively, the follicular survival rate in the experimental group was significantly higher compared to the control group. Additionally, patients in the control group were more prone to experiencing postoperative asymmetry between their eyebrows and developing curly hair. Conclusion: For patients with post‐traumatic eyebrow scars accompanied by eyebrow defects, we applied ablative fractional CO2 laser therapy in combination with FUE treatment. Background: Accelerated pace of modern work and lifestyles subject individuals to various external and psychological stressors, which, in turn, can trigger additional stress through visible signs of fatigue, hair loss, and obesity. As the primary stress hormone affecting skin health, cortisol connects to the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) to aggravate skin issues induced by stress. This activation depends on the expression of 11β‐hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1 (11β‐HSD1) in skin cells, which locally converts cortisone—produced by the central and peripheral hypothalamic‐pituitary‐adrenal axis—into its active form. Methods: Our study delves deeper into stress's adverse effects on the skin, including the disruption of keratinocyte structural proteins, the loss of basement membrane proteins, and the degradation of collagen. Results: Remarkably, we discovered that Ectoin, an amino acid derivative obtained from halophilic bacteria, is capable of mitigating the inhibitory impacts of cortisone on the expression of cutaneous functional proteins, including involucrin, loricrin, laminin‐5, and claudin‐1. Moreover, Ectoin reduces the suppressive effect of stress on collagen and hyaluronic acid synthesis by impeding GR signal transduction. Additionally, Ectoin counterbalances the UVB‐induced overexpression of 11β‐HSD1, thereby diminishing the concentration of endogenous glucocorticoids. Background: Dietary marine omega‐3 fatty acids and phospholipids have individually shown favorable effects on skin barrier function. Krill oil offers a combination of omega‐3 in phospholipid form which might enhance the efficacy in supporting skin health. Aims: The aim was to investigate the impact of two different doses of krill oil on skin transepidermal water loss (TEWL) in healthy adults. Secondary outcomes were skin hydration, elasticity and the omega‐3 index. Methods: Two randomized, double‐blind, placebo‐controlled, pilot studies were conducted in healthy adults with a baseline TEWL of >10 and ≤24.9 g/m2/h. In study 1, 51 participants consumed 1 g of krill oil or placebo daily. In study 2, 50 participants consumed 2 g of krill oil or placebo daily. The outcomes were assessed at baseline, 6 and 12 weeks. Results: The krill oil supplemented groups significantly increased their omega‐3 index versus placebo in both studies. Furthermore, the krill oil groups in both studies showed statistically significant beneficial reductions in TEWL (from 14.47 ± 3.65 to 13.83 ± 3.78 in study 1 and from 14.25 ± 3.21 to 13.02 ± 2.76 in study 2) and increases in hydration and elasticity when compared to placebo. There were significant linear relationships between changes in the omega‐3 index and changes in TEWL, hydration and elasticity in both studies. Conclusions: Daily oral supplementation with 1 and 2 g of krill oil showed significant and dose‐dependent improvements in skin TEWL, hydration, and elasticity compared to placebo that correlated with changes in the omega‐3 index. Aim: The etiology of telogen effluvium (TE) includes situations that may cause physiological stress, surgical trauma, inflammatory, infectious, iatrogenic causes, medications and nutritional deficiencies. TE has been associated with iron deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency and thyroid diseases. In recent years, the use of over‐the‐counter food supplements containing vitamins and minerals such as biotin, vitamin D, zinc (Zn), copper (Cu) and selenium (Se) has been increasing in TE patients. The aim of this study is to investigate whether there are differences in nutritional status, vitamin and mineral levels by comparing individuals with TE and a control group. Materials and Methods: This case–control study included 90 female patients diagnosed with chronic telogen effluvium (CTE), and 90 female controls volunteered to participate in the study who consulted for reasons other than TE. Both groups aged 18 and over and applied to dermatology polyclinic between 01.09.2022 and 01.09.2023. A detailed anamnesis was taken from all patients, a hair pull test was performed, and TE was diagnosed after a dermoscopic examination was performed on all areas of the scalp. Then, serum vitamin D, Zn, Cu, Se levels and biotin levels in serum and urine were measured. Hemoglobin (Hb), ferritin, vitamin B12 and thyroid function tests were retrospectively scanned from the hospital database. Results: It was determined that Zn levels were significantly lower in CTE patients than in controls. Se levels were found to be significantly higher in patients than in controls. There was no difference in Hb, ferritin, vitamin B12, thyroid function tests, vitamin D, Cu levels, serum and urine biotin levels between the two groups. Zn, Cu/Zn and Se levels were found to have statistically significant diagnostic performance in predicting the diagnosis of CTE. Cu/Zn ratio and Se value were found to be significant predictors of CTE. Conclusion: This study shows us that nutritional deficiencies are not as common as thought in patients diagnosed with TE. Other causes that may cause TE should be investigated by a detailed anamnesis and a good physical examination. Background: Lasers and other energy‐based devices are increasingly becoming popular in aesthetic practice. Many centers employ doctors or technicians to perform these procedures where treating doctor and operating doctor may be different. Hence the need for standard operative protocols, to be followed while performing these procedures to avoid mistakes, complications and to get optimum results. In the current review article, group of doctors who have worked with these energy‐based devices over many years worked together and suggested the protocols to be followed for the most commonly used energy‐based procedures. Aim: To provide Standard operating protocols for the operator and staff to ensure, efficacy, safety, for the patient and for the devices. Methods: The following protocols have been drafted based on the best practices followed by the authors in their clinics and reflect their consensus opinion. The objective is to provide operating protocols in a standard format, which can be of use by practicing dermatologists and their staff. The protocols include both general guidelines for the laser room and specific protocols for different machines. The draft follows the following schema: General instructions for all the energy‐based devices.Specific protocols for different devices: Laser hair removal, fractional lasers, Q‐switched lasers, fractional microneedling radiofrequency and cryolipolysis. Conclusions: The protocols proposed help to maintain the uniformity and avoid complications. However, these instructions are generalized and not machine or lesion specific. Background: Recent advancements in dermatological therapeutics have highlighted the need for treatments that enhance skin regeneration and healing. Diamond‐Augmented Zinc Oxide (ND‐ZnO) technology combines zinc oxide with diamond particles in a unique core‐shell structure, offering a multifaceted approach to overall skin health. Aims: This study evaluates the efficacy of ND‐ZnO in promoting human dermal fibroblast migration and growth, enhancing total collagen synthesis, and improving transdermal delivery of active ingredients as a daily comprehensive skin regeneration topical therapy. Patients/Methods: In vitro assays assessed wound healing, collagen production, and skin absorption. Human Dermal Fibroblasts (HDFs) were used in scratch wound assays. Collagen synthesis was quantified using enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). Permeation tests were performed on reconstructed human epidermal tissues to evaluate niacinamide absorption. Clinical case studies validated ND‐ZnO efficacy in post‐CO₂ laser treatments and Actinic Keratosis removal recovery. Results: ND‐ZnO increased HDF migration by 198% compared to controls. Collagen synthesis assays showed a 71.3% restoration of collagen production in aged HDFs. Skin permeation studies revealed a 203% increase in niacinamide skin absorption with ND‐ZnO. Clinical case studies demonstrated faster and more effective healing post‐ablative CO₂ laser and significant improvements in Actinic Keratosis recovery. Conclusions: ND‐ZnO technology enhances wound healing, collagen synthesis, and active ingredient delivery, offering substantial benefits for daily skin regeneration and other dermatological applications. Background: Collagen peptides from various sources demonstrate benefits in health and well‐being both in vitro and in clinical trials. However, there is a scarce study of collagen peptides from Tuna on skin health. Aims: To investigate the impact of collagen peptides derived from Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis and Thunnus albacares) on skin health, utilizing in vitro biological studies and a randomized controlled trial. Methods: In vitro biological studies on human dermal primary fibroblasts were evaluated in terms of collagen and elastin synthesis and senescent cell inhibition. A randomized, placebo‐controlled, double‐blind clinical trial was conducted on 72 women who were randomly assigned to receive either tuna collagen peptides (n = 36) or a placebo (n = 36) orally for 8 weeks and 2 weeks post‐ingestion by measuring skin hydration, transepidermal water loss (TEWL), skin elasticity, and skin density. Results: In vitro biological effects demonstrated dose‐dependent positive results in increasing collagen and elastin synthesis and reducing senescent cells. The effects on collagen and senescent cells plateaued at high concentrations. A clinical trial showed that the test group experienced a significant increase in skin hydration, elasticity, and density, along with a decrease in TEWL compared to the baseline. The test and placebo groups showed statistically significant differences at 8 weeks for all parameters except for the TEWL at the face. All positive effects were substantially retained even after 2 weeks of discontinuation. Conclusions: These findings demonstrate the significant potential of tuna collagen peptides to promote human skin health, warranting further investigation as a potential nutraceutical. Objective: To investigate the repairing and anti‐wrinkle efficacy of the facial cream enriched with C‐xyloside, aiming at comprehensively evaluating its skin anti‐ aging effect and clarify its potential mechanism of action. Methods: The repairing efficacy was studied on 3D epidermis skin model and the antiaging efficacy was studied on ex‐vivo human skin. Two clinical studies were conducted with Chinese females. In the first study, 49 subjects aged between 30 and 50 with wrinkle concerns were recruited and instructed to apply the investigational cream containing C‐xyloside for 8 weeks. Wrinkles attributes were assessed by dermatologist. Instrumental measurements on skin hydration, trans‐epidermal water loss (TEWL), and skin elasticity were also conducted. In the second study, 30 subjects aged between 25 and 60 with self‐declared sensitive skin and facial redness were recruited and instructed to apply the cream for 4 weeks. Biomarker analysis of the stratum corneum was conducted through facial tape strips. Results: The cream improved the histomorphology of the 3D epidermis skin model after SLS stimulation, and significantly increase the expression of LOR and FLG. On human skin, the cream improved the histopathology induced by UV, and significantly increased the protein content of COL I and COL III, collagen density and the number of Ki‐67 positive cell of skin compared with model group (n = 3, p < 0.01). The results from the first clinical study demonstrate a significant increased the skin hydration and elasticity by 21.90%, 13.08% (R2) and 12.30% (R5), respectively (n = 49, p < 0.05), and the TEWL values decreased by 33.94% (n = 49, p < 0.05), after 8 weeks application of the cream. In addition, the scores for nasolabial folds, glabellar wrinkle, underneath eye wrinkles, crow's feet wrinkle and forehead wrinkle in the volunteers exhibited a significant reduction of 34.02%, 43.34%, 50.03%, 33.64% and 55.81% respectively (n = 49, p < 0.05). The (rCE)/(fCE) ratio of volunteers based on tape stripping significant increased after using the sample cream (n = 30, p < 0.05). Conclusion: The cream containing C‐xyloside showed improvement of skin wrinkles and enhancement of skin barrier function. These efficacies may be attributed to the fact that the sample cream can increase the expression of skin barrier related proteins LOR and FLG, promote the maturation of cornified envelope, enhance collagen I and III protein expression and stimulate skin cell proliferation, to provide sufficient evidence supporting its antiaging efficacy of skin. Background: There is a growing number of patients suffering from sensitive skin secondary to acne, but its prevalence and influencing factors are not yet well‐understood. Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the nonlinear relationship between air pollutants and secondary sensitive skin in acne patients. Methods: A cross‐sectional study comprising 4325 acne outpatients in China was carried out between September 2021 and December 2022, employing a simple random sampling approach. Air pollutants data was derived from the nearest air quality monitoring station corresponding to the subjects' residential locations. Furthermore, socio‐economic characteristics, biological attributes, and lifestyle data of patients were acquired via questionnaire surveys. The data were subsequently analyzed utilizing the XGBoost machine learning model. Results: A nonlinear relationship has been observed between secondary sensitive skin in acne patients and various factors, including particulate matter (PM2.5), inhalable particulate matter (PM10), ozone (O3), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon monoxide (CO), the severity of depression, different levels of exercise intensity, acne grading, frequency of sunscreen application, gender, and age. Conclusion: The occurrence of secondary sensitive skin in acne patients be mitigated through the implementation of measures such as the control of air pollutant emissions, regulation of negative emotions, and improvement of personal lifestyle. Background: Growing demand for facial rejuvenation drives advancements in these therapies, including laser, radiofrequency, and focused ultrasound, alongside thermal stimulation adjuncts. These methods, known for stimulating collagen regeneration, skin tightening, and lifting, have gained popularity due to their minimal side effects, low trauma, and high safety, demonstrating favorable outcomes in clinical practice. Objective: We sought to assess the efficacy of ultrasound skin tightening for brow lift within the scope of a procedure addressing facial sagging across the entire face. Our aim was to explore a noninvasive method capable of effectively enhancing mild to moderate brow ptosis by tightening and lifting the skin in the upper facial region. Methods: This was a rater‐blinded, prospective cohort study. The upper facial region of the participants was treated with the new device, micro‐focused ultrasound (MFU), in model D3.0/D2.0/M3.0. Outcomes of brow lift were measured in comparison of pretreatment and posttreatment photographs and three‐dimensional (3D) vector analysis. Results: A total of 42 participants (37 females) were enrolled, with 2 participants withdrawing from the trial, resulting in 40 subjects who completed 180‐day‐follow‐up and evaluation. 35 (87.5%) were deemed to have clinically significant brow elevation by two blinded assessors (experienced clinicians) at 180‐day posttreatment (p < 0.01). The mean change in brow height after 90‐day was 2.16 ± 0.63 mm at the frontal position (straight‐ahead gaze) (p < 0.01). The 3D vector analysis reveals varying magnitudes of vector displacement in the upward and outward directions of the skin on the frontal region above the eyebrows. Conclusion: Focused ultrasound appears to be a safe and effective method for upper facial skin rejuvenation. Background: Aesthetic medicine has traditionally relied on clinical scales for the objective assessment of baseline appearance and treatment outcomes. However, the scales focus on limited aesthetic areas mostly and subjective interpretation inherent in these scales can lead to variability, which undermines standardization efforts. Objective: The consensus meeting aimed to establish guidelines for AI application in aesthetic medicine. Materials and Methods: In February 2024, the AI Consensus Group, comprising international experts in various specialties, convened to deliberate on AI in aesthetic medicine. The methodology included a pre‐consensus survey and an iterative consensus process during the meeting. Results: AI's implementation in Aesthetic Medicine has achieved full consensus for enhancing patient assessment and consultation, ensuring standardized care. AI's role in preventing overcorrection is recognized, alongside the need for validated objective facial assessments. Emphasis is placed on comprehensive facial aesthetic evaluations using indices such as the Facial Aesthetic Index (FAI), Facial Youth Index (FYI), and Skin Quality Index (SQI). These evaluations are to be gender‐specific and exclude makeup‐covered skin at baseline. Age and gender, as well as patients' ancestral roots, are to be considered integral to the AI assessment process, underlining the move towards personalized, precise treatments. Conclusion: The consensus meeting established that AI will significantly improve aesthetic medicine by standardizing patient assessments and consultations, with a strong endorsement for preventing overcorrection and advocating for validated, objective facial assessments. Background: Medical emergency complications may occur during dermatological, surgical, and cosmetic procedures. Aims: This study aimed to investigate the frequency of dermatologists who experienced emergency complications as well as their level of knowledge regarding emergencies and basic life support. Methods: The cross‐sectional descriptive study was conducted online among 240 dermatologists to whom a questionnaire was sent via email and a closed social media group. The survey instrument asked about emergency complications during dermatological, surgical, or cosmetic procedures and the dermatologists' level of knowledge regarding emergencies and basic life support. Results: Among the dermatologists, 53% reported emergency complications during dermatological and surgical procedures and 43.2% during cosmetic procedures. The most common complications were vasovagal syncope, hypotension/bleeding, and seizures. Emergency complications were more common among specialists, those with more than 15 years of professional experience, those working in their private clinics, and those performing an average of 10–50 dermatological/surgical procedures per week and fewer than 10 cosmetic procedures per week (p < 0.05). The knowledge level of dermatologists was highest among residents, dermatologists with 0–4 years of professional experience, those working in university hospitals, and those who had both theoretical and practical training in basic life support. Conclusions: This study shows a relatively high frequency of dermatologists who experienced emergency complications during dermatological, surgical, or cosmetic procedures. Although these complications seem to be common; most of them are mild, self‐limiting, and not life‐threatening. Background: The growing popularity of aesthetic procedures involving fillers, biostimulators, and neurotoxins has prompted concerns about patient safety. To address these concerns, a global Safety Task Force (STF) was formed. Aims: The inaugural STF meeting prioritized vascular compromise prevention and management, guiding clinical trial design and materials for future meetings, and collecting data from experts on current safety methods. Methods: The STF was formed and consisted of 16 experts from nine different countries, with each possessing distinct expertise in various fields related to aesthetic injectables. Current safety data, protocols, knowledge gaps and future research priorities were discussed and voted upon. Results: The establishment of a global database for tracking filler‐related AEs was favored by 93% of participants. Discussions revolved around the database's scope, data standardization, and whether non‐medical contributors should be included. Aspiration as a safety technique garnered support from 73% of participants. Approximately 43% of participants incorporate ultrasound in their injections, with divergent opinions on its impact and potential when used as a standard of practice versus in AE management. Most physicians on the task force incorporated cannula use for some of their injections (93%). There were varying perspectives on treatments for vascular adverse events (VAE), the primary causes, and the adoption of new protocols in the field. Conclusions: The STF meeting underscored the need for a coordinated effort to address complications related to HA fillers, including VAE management and hyaluronidase protocols. Reliable treatment endpoints were evaluated, but improved measurement methods are needed. Future meetings will focus on addressing delayed complications, furthering safety in this field.
