Herein, novel magnetic TiO 2 /Fe 3 O 4 /CoWO 4 nanocomposites were fabricated using a simple refluxing method followed by a calcination step at 450 °C. Photocatalytic activity of these nanocomposites were studied by decomposing rhodamine B, methyl orange, and fuchsine dye contaminants under visible-light illumination. Among the fabricated photocatalysts, the TiO 2 /Fe 3 O 4 /CoWO 4 (30%) photocatalyst exhibited superior activity. The degradation rate constant for rhodamine B by this ternary nanocomposite was 8.5 and 5.6 folds greater than those of the pure TiO 2 and TiO 2 /Fe 3 O 4 photocatalysts, respectively. Trapping experiments showed that superoxide anion radicals played critical role during the photocatalytic process. Visible-light harvesting due to the presence of CoWO 4 and effective suppression of the charge carriers from recombination due to formation of p-n heterojunction are the major parameters affecting the photocatalytic activity. Furthermore, the TiO 2 /Fe 3 O 4 /CoWO 4 (30%) photocatalyst displayed highly stable recycling performances. In this paper, CuCr 2 O 4 nanoparticles were decorated on the surface of g-C 3 N 4 nanosheets (g-C 3 N 4 -NS) by a facile refluxing process. The structure, composition, morphology, optical, textural, and thermal properties were characterized by XRD, EDX, SEM, TEM, UV-vis DRS, FT-IR, XPS, PL, BET, and TGA techniques. The photocatalytic performance of g-C 3 N 4 -NS/CuCr 2 O 4 nanocomposites was assessed by degrading RhB and MB dyes and phenol under visible-light illumination. When the loading amount of CuCr 2 O 4 was 10 wt%, the nanocomposite exhibited the highest activity. Activity of the g-C 3 N 4 -NS/CuCr 2 O 4 (10%) nanocomposite refluxed for 3h and calcined at 520°C for 4h was almost 11.8 and 4.8 times greater than those of the bulk g-C 3 N 4 and g-C 3 N 4 -NS photocatalysts in degradation of RhB, respectively. In the prepared nanocomposites, nanosheets of g-C 3 N 4 act not only as CuCr 2 O 4 support, but also as co-catalyst. Bi 2 O 3 rods/RGO composite has been synthesized by a simple precipitation and calcination method. The crystallnity, structural, and morphological features were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) techniques. The supercapacitor behavior was studied using cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge discharge and impedance analysis, respectively. The Bi 2 O 3 rods/RGO nanocomposite exhibits a maximum specific capacitance of 1041Fg -1 at a current density of 2Ag -1 . The photocatalytic activity of Bi 2 O 3 rods/RGO composite was evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye under visible-light irradiation. The enhancement of photocatalytic properties of Bi 2 O 3 rods/RGO composite attributed to the synergistic effect between Bi 2 O 3 rods and graphene sheets which effectively prevents recombination of the photogenerated electron-hole pairs in Bi 2 O 3 rods.
