Abstract

A study shows that functional agility remains unchanged after a 20 min cold therapy to foot and ankle. Cold therapy is very useful in sports medicine as it controls inflammation and has hypalgesic effects. The slight decrease in agility observed after cold treatment could be due to tissue stiffness and the indvidual's fears resulting from it. The test results are not reliable as the number of test subjects is small.
