17. Review of the genus PelosiaHübner (Lepidoptera: Noctuoidea: Erebidae: Arctiinae) in Korea with checklist of the known species

Abstract

The genus PelosiaHübner [1819] in South Korea, which is represented with five species, P. angusta, P. muscerda, P. noctis, P. obtusaand P. ramosulais reviewed. Among these, P. obtusais newly recorded from South Korea, and one of the Korean rare species, P. ramosulais re-examined herein. Illustrations of adults, genitalia of all examined species and wing venation are provided, with a key to the known species of the genus Pelosiain the world.

The genus ErechthiasMeyrick, 1880 belonging to the subfamily Erechtiinae of the family Tineidae in Korea is reviewed with three recognized species: one known species, Erechthias atririvis(Meyrick, 1931), and two newly recorded species, E. ioloxa(Meyrick, 1936) and E. sphenoschista(Meyrick, 1931), are reported for the first time from Korea. Photographs of adults and genitalia of two species are provided.
