Abstract: The article focuses on the impact of plasma-based argon+ (Ar+) beam treatment on poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) surfaces. The authors conducted the plasm-based Ar+ beam treatment in radio frequency 13.56 megahertz (MHz) low-pressure (200 milliTorr) glow discharge. SEM observation suggest a smooth surface for the PDMS samples that was treated at 100 and 1200 watts and the non-treated PDMS. It concludes that there was alteration of PDMS surface after being treated with plasma-based Ar+ beam.
