Abstract

Discusses the measurement of the second harmonic generation (SHG) using a 1.06 micrometer Q-switched pump beam in powdered nonlinear crystals suspended in a photopolymeric solution. Transparency of the photopolymeric solution at the pump beam frequency; Production of relatively intense SH incoherent light in the powder after the pump intensity exceeds a certain threshold.
