Gumboro disease is a viral poultry disease that causes immune suppression on the infected birds leading to poor production, mortality, and exposure to secondary infections, hence a major threat in the poultry industry worldwide. A mathematical model of the transmission dynamics of Gumboro disease is developed in this paper having four compartments of chicken population and one compartment of Gumboro pathogen population. The basic reproduction number R og is derived, and the dynamical behaviors of both the disease-free equilibrium (DFE) and endemic equilibrium are analyzed using the ordinary differential equation theory. From the analysis, we found that the system exhibits an asymptotic stable DFE whenever R og < 1 and an asymptotic stable EE whenever R og > 1. The numerical simulation to verify the theoretical results was carried out using MATLAB ode45 solver, and the results were found to be consistent with the theoretical findings. Giardiasis is among the ignored zoonotic illnesses accorded by the World Health Organization that is caused by Giardia duodenalis. The disease is ignored regardless of the harm it causes to people and other creatures. In this paper, a mathematical model for giardiasis illness transmission is formed, which considers sickness carriers and control measures such as screening, treatment, and sanitation of the environment around people. In the assessment, the basic reproduction number, R 0 , which is used for analyzing the local stability of the equilibria is determined using the state-of-the-art next-generation matrix, while the Metzler constancy speculation is used to show the overall adequacy of the global stability of the equilibrium point free from the disease. In addition, a Lyapunov function has been used to study the stability of the endemic equilibrium point. The assessment of parameters is performed to explore the limits that significantly influence the transmission components of the disease disorders using the normalizing sensitivity index method. The result revealed that the recruitment rate is the most sensitive limit to the reproduction number. The environment-human interaction parameter is the second influential factor in the transmission of giardiasis in the community. In the same manner, the outcomes recommend that carriers assume an expected part in the rate of giardiasis subsequently; disregarding them could risk endeavors to control the pestilence. Besides, the mathematical recreation of the model shows that a mix of each of the three interventions fundamentally affects the control of giardiasis. This paper investigates the dynamics of systemic risk in banking networks by analyzing equilibrium points and stability conditions. The focus is on a model that incorporates interactions among distressed and undistressed banks. The equilibrium points are determined by solving a reduced system of equations, considering both homogeneous and heterogeneous scenarios. Local and global stability analyses reveal conditions under which equilibrium points are stable or unstable. Numerical simulations further illustrate the dynamics of systemic risk, while the theoretical findings offer insights into the behavior of distressed banks under varying conditions. Coffee berry disease (CBD) is a fungal disease caused by Colletotrichum kahawae. CBD is a major constraint to coffee production to Kenya and Africa at large. In this research paper, we formulate a mathematical model of the dynamics of the coffee berry disease. The model consists of coffee plant population in a plantation and Colletotrichum kahawae pathogen population. We derived the basic reproduction number R k 0 , and analyzed the dynamical behaviors of both disease-free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium by the theory of ordinary differential equations. Lung cancer is the biggest cause of cancer mortality worldwide and a major impediment to extending life expectancy. In comparison to other cancers, it has a relatively poor survival rate. In this paper, we have developed a mathematical model for lung cancer based on biological phenomena using nonlinear ordinary differential equations and analyzed it both analytically and numerically. According to the findings, CD8+ T cells and dendritic cells have a role in tumor cell variety. Surgery and chemotherapy have been used as treatment options, and we have observed that three doses of chemotherapy after surgery had the greatest results after examining several treatment options. During the treatment period, the cycle of each chemotherapy has been taken every 4 weeks, and the first dose has been taken after 28 days of surgery. Finally, we have evaluated the various starting dates for the best treatment choice and discovered that the patient who begins treatment sooner has a better probability of surviving. Crime is one among the most challenging problems in most developing countries in which unemployment is among the causes. Not all kind of crimes can be eradicated indeed; this paper is intended to contribute on eradication of unemployment-related crimes in the developing countries by proposing a deterministic mathematical model of unemployment-crime dynamics including vocational training and employment as control measures for crime. The study adopts the epidemiological model concepts on model formulation and model analysis while considering unemployment as main driver of crime. The basic properties of the model are analyzed, and well-posed of the model is established by using the Lipschitz condition. The next-generation matrix is used to obtain the criminal reproduction number which help to derive the conditions for local and global stability of the model. Moreover, the existence of backward and forward bifurcation when the crime reproduction number is equal to one was analyzed by center manifold theory. Simulations of the model are carried out to validate the theoretical part of the model and demonstrate vocational training, and employment strategies are more effective in combating crime when applied simultaneously. Mathematical models have been widely used to explain the system originating from human-nature interaction, investigate the impacts of various components, and forecast system behaviour. This paper provides a profound reference to the current state of the art regarding the application of mathematical models to study the impact of human population and population pressure on forest biomass and forest-dependent wildlife. The review focused on two aspects, namely, model formulation and model analysis. In model formulation, the review revealed that socioeconomic status influences forest resource consumption patterns, thus, stratification of the human population based on economic status is a critical phenomenon in modelling human-nature interactions; however, this component has not been featured in the reviewed models. Regarding model analysis, in most of the reviewed work, single parameter approach was utilized to perform uncertainty quantification of the model parameter; this approach has been proven to be inadequate in measuring the uncertainty and sensitivity of the parameter. Thus, the use of correlation or variance based methods, which are multidimensional parameter space methods are of significant importance. Generally, despite the limitations of many assumptions in mathematical modelling, it is revealed that mathematical models demonstrate the ability to handle complex systems originating from interactions between humans and nature. The formation of solid wax crystals, which interlock and form a gel-like layer on the inner wall of the crude oil pipeline, influences the transportation of waxy crude oil. The deposited layer grows continuously and hardens during the oil transportation, reducing the effective inside diameter of the crude oil pipeline and the flow rate. In extreme cases, the deposited layer may block the crude oil pipeline leading to a loss of production and capital investment. In this paper, wax deposition from multiphase flow in field-scale oil pipeline transport systems has been studied. The novelty of this work is to develop a mathematical model that incorporates water-in-oil emulsions, wax precipitation kinetics, molecular diffusion, and shear dispersion to enable accurate predictions of both the wax deposit growth rate and aging of the deposit. The coupled nonlinear partial differential equations governing the flow are discretized in time by a second-order semi-implicit time discretization scheme based on the Adams-Bashforth and Crank-Nicolson methods, which completely decouples the computation of the governing equations. The resulting temporal schemes are discretized in space by the bivariate spectral collocation method based on Chebyshev-Gauss-Lobatto grid points and simulated in MATLAB software to obtain the profiles of the flow variables. The simulation results are presented in graphical and in tabular forms and discussed. This study found that the deposit thickness is directly proportional to the Reynolds number and inversely proportional to the mass Grashof number, Schmidt number, and Weber number. Deposit aging is rampant during the early stages of wax deposition, after which it stabilizes at a specific value as time elapses. A deposition model to predict the wax deposit thickness and aging is proposed in this study. The findings of this study will help in making informed decisions on the planning of pigging operations, thermal insulation, and other remediation techniques to be applied in controlling wax deposition in field-scale crude oil pipeline systems. In this paper, we construct and analyze a theoretical, deterministic 5 D mathematical model of Limnothrissa miodon with nutrients, phytoplankton, zooplankton, and Hydrocynus vittatus predation. Local stability analysis results agree with the numerical simulations in that the coexistence equilibrium is locally stable provided that certain conditions are satisfied. The coexistence equilibrium is globally stable if certain conditions are met. Existence, stability, and direction of Hopf bifurcations are derived for some parameters. In this paper, we propose a continuous mathematical model that describes the spread of multistrains COVID-19 virus among humans: susceptible, exposed, infected, quarantined, hospitalized, and recovered individuals. The positivity and boundedness of the system solution are provided in order to get the well posedness of the proposed model. Secondly, three controls are considered in our model to minimize the multistrain spread of the disease, namely, vaccination, security campaigns, social distancing measures, and diagnosis. Furthermore, the optimal control problem and related optimality conditions of the Pontryagin type are discussed with the objective to minimize the number of infected individuals. Finally, numerical simulations are performed in the case of two strains of COVID-19 and with four control strategies. Tuberculosis (TB) and coronavirus (COVID-19) are both infectious diseases that globally continue affecting millions of people every year. They have similar symptoms such as cough, fever, and difficulty breathing but differ in incubation periods. This paper introduces a mathematical model for the transmission dynamics of TB and COVID-19 coinfection using a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The well-posedness of the proposed coinfection model is then analytically studied by showing properties such as the existence, boundedness, and positivity of the solutions. The stability analysis of the equilibrium points of submodels is also discussed separately after computing the basic reproduction numbers. In each case, the disease-free equilibrium points of the submodels are proved to be both locally and globally stable if the reproduction numbers are less than unity. Besides, the coinfection disease-free equilibrium point is proved to be conditionally stable. The sensitivity and bifurcation analysis are also studied. This paper presents a mathematical model that describes the transmission dynamics of schistosomiasis for humans, snails, and the free living miracidia and cercariae. The model incorporates the treated compartment and a preventive factor due to water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) for the human subpopulation. A qualitative analysis was performed to examine the invariant regions, positivity of solutions, and disease equilibrium points together with their stabilities. The basic reproduction number, R 0 , is computed and used as a threshold value to determine the existence and stability of the equilibrium points. It is established that, under a specific condition, the disease-free equilibrium exists and there is a unique endemic equilibrium when R 0 > 1. It is shown that the disease-free equilibrium point is both locally and globally asymptotically stable provided R 0 < 1 , and the unique endemic equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable whenever R 0 > 1 using the concept of the Center Manifold Theory. A numerical simulation carried out showed that at R 0 = 1 , the model exhibits a forward bifurcation which, thus, validates the analytic results. Numerical analyses of the control strategies were performed and discussed. Further, a sensitivity analysis of R 0 was carried out to determine the contribution of the main parameters towards the die out of the disease. Finally, the effects that these parameters have on the infected humans were numerically examined, and the results indicated that combined application of treatment and WASH will be effective in eradicating schistosomiasis. The paper is devoted to several examples of control algorithm development for two-wheeled double-track robot and low-tonnage vessel-catamaran with two Azipods that show practical aspects of the application of one nonlinear system control method — terminal state method. This method, developed by the authors of the present paper, belongs to the class of methods for inverse dynamics problem solving. Mathematical models of control objects in the form of normal systems of third-order nonlinear differential equations for the wheeled robot and seventh-order ones for the vessel are presented. Design formulas of the method in general form for terminal and stabilizing controls are shown. A routine of obtaining calculation expressions for control actions is shown. Results of computer simulation of bringing the robot to a given point in a given time, as well as bringing the vessel to a given course during a "strong" maneuver, are described. In this paper, we aim to estimate and predict the situation of the new coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in countries under quarantine measures. First, we present a new discrete-time mathematical model describing the evolution of the COVID-19 in a population under quarantine. We are motivated by the growing numbers of infections and deaths in countries under quarantine to investigate potential causes. We consider two new classes of people, those who respect the quarantine and stay at home, and those who do not respect the quarantine and leave their homes for one or another reason. Second, we use real published data to estimate the parameters of the model, and then, we estimate these populations in Morocco. We investigate the impact of people who underestimate the quarantine by considering an optimal control strategy to reduce this category and then reducing the number of the population at risk in Morocco. It has been reported that unprotected contact with the dead bodies of infected individuals is a plausible way of Nipah virus transmission. An SIRD model is proposed in this paper to investigate the impact of unprotected contact with dead bodies of infected individuals before burial or cremation and their disposal rate on the dynamics of Nipah virus infection. The model is analyzed, and the reproduction number is computed. It is established that the disease-free state is globally asymptotically stable when the reproduction number is less than unity and unstable if it is greater than unity. By using the central manifold theory, we observe that the endemic equilibrium is locally stable near to unity. It is concluded that minimizing unsafe contact with the infected dead body and/or burial or cremation as fast as possible contributes positively. Further, the numerical simulations for the given choice of data and initial conditions illustrate that the endemic state is stable and the disease persists in the community when the reproduction number is greater than one. In this paper, a nonlinear deterministic model for the dynamics of corruption is proposed and analysed qualitatively using the stability theory of differential equations. The basic reproduction number with respect to the corruption-free equilibrium is obtained using next-generation matrix method. The conditions for local and global asymptotic stability of corruption-free and endemic equilibria are established. From the analysis using center manifold theory, the model exhibits forward bifurcation. Then, the model was extended by reformulating it as an optimal control problem, with the use of two time-dependent controls to assess the impact of corruption on human population, namely, campaigning about corruption through media and advertisement and exposing corrupted individuals to jail and giving punishment. By using Pontryagin's maximum principle, necessary conditions for the optimal control of the transmission of corruption were derived. In this paper, a mathematical model consisting of a prey-predator system incorporating infectious disease in the prey has been proposed and analyzed. It is assumed that the predator preys upon the nonrefugees prey only according to the modified Holling type-II functional response. There is a harvesting process from the predator. The existence and uniqueness of the solution in addition to their bounded are discussed. The stability analysis of the model around all possible equilibrium points is investigated. The persistence conditions of the system are established. Local bifurcation analysis in view of the Sotomayor theorem is carried out. In this paper, we propose a discrete mathematical model that describes the interaction between the classes of drinkers, namely, potential drinkers P , moderate drinkers M , heavy drinkers H , poor heavy drinkers T p , rich heavy drinkers T r , and quitters of drinking Q . We also focus on the importance of treatment within addiction treatment centers aiming to find the optimal strategies to minimize the number of drinkers and maximize the number of heavy drinkers who join addiction treatment centers. We use three controls which represent awareness programs through media and education for the potential drinkers, efforts to encourage the heavy drinkers to join addiction treatment centers, and psychological support with follow-up for the individuals who quit drinking. We use Pontryagin's maximum principle in discrete time to characterize these optimal controls. The resulting optimality system is solved numerically by Matlab. In this paper, a system of deterministic model is presented for the dynamical analysis of the interactional consequence of criminals and criminality on victimisation under two distinguishable forms of rehabilitation—the behavioural reformation of criminals and the emotional psychotherapy of victims. A threshold value, R 0 = m a x R K , R V , responsible for the persistence of crime/criminality and victimisation, is obtained and, using it, stability analyses on the model performed. The impact of an effective implementation of the two forms of rehabilitation was found to be substantial on crime and criminality, while an ineffective implementation of same was observed to have a detrimental consequence. The prevention of repeat victimisation was seen to present a more viable option for containing crime than the noncriminalisation of victims. Further, the removal of criminals, either through quitting or death, among others, was also found to have a huge positive impact. In this paper we present a mathematical model for the transmission dynamics of Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP) by considering antibiotic treatment and vaccination. The model is comprised of susceptible, vaccinated, exposed, infectious, persistently infected, and recovered compartments. We analyse the model by deriving a formula for the control reproduction number Rc and prove that, for Rc<1, the disease free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable; thus CBPP dies out, whereas for Rc>1, the unique endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and hence the disease persists. Thus, Rc=1 acts as a sharp threshold between the disease dying out or causing an epidemic. As a result, the threshold of antibiotic treatment is αt⁎=0.1049. Thus, without using vaccination, more than 85.45% of the infectious cattle should receive antibiotic treatment or the period of infection should be reduced to less than 8.15 days to control the disease. Similarly, the threshold of vaccination is ρ⁎=0.0084. Therefore, we have to vaccinate at least 80% of susceptible cattle in less than 49.5 days, to control the disease. Using both vaccination and antibiotic treatment, the threshold value of vaccination depends on the rate of antibiotic treatment, αt, and is denoted by ραt. Hence, if 50% of infectious cattle receive antibiotic treatment, then at least 50% of susceptible cattle should get vaccination in less than 73.8 days in order to control the disease. In this paper a within host mathematical model for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) transmission incorporating treatment is formulated. The model takes into account the efficacy of combined antiretroviral treatment on viral growth and T cell population in the human blood. The existence of an infection free and positive endemic equilibrium is established. The basic reproduction number R0 is derived using the method of next generation matrix. We perform local and global stability analysis of the equilibria points and show that if R0<1, then the infection free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and theoretically the virus is cleared and the disease dies out and if R0>1, then the endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable implying that the virus persists within the host. In this paper, a mathematical model of a prey-predator system with infectious disease in the prey population is proposed and studied. It is assumed that there is a constant refuge in prey as a defensive property against predation and harvesting from the predator. The proposed mathematical model is consisting of three first-order nonlinear ordinary differential equations, which describe the interaction among the healthy prey, infected prey, and predator. The existence, uniqueness, and boundedness of the system' solution are investigated. The system's equilibrium points are calculated with studying their local and global stability. The mathematical model for describing internal waves of the ocean is derived from the assumption of ideal fluid; i.e., the fluid is incompressible and inviscid. These internal waves are generated through the interaction between the tidal currents and the basic topography of the fluid. Basically the mathematical model of the internal wave problem of the ocean is a system of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs). In this paper, the analytical approach used to solve nonlinear PDE is the Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM). HAM can be applied to determine the resolution of almost any internal wave problem involving tidal forces. This paper presents a generic abstract model for the study of disparities between goals and results in hierarchical multiresources allocation systems. In an organization, disparities in resource allocation may occur, when, after comparison of a resource allocation decision with an allocation reference goal or property, some agents have surplus resources to accomplish their tasks, while at the same time other agents have deficits of expected resources. In the real world, these situations are frequently encountered in organizations facing scarcity of resources and/or inefficient management. These disparities can be corrected using allocation decisions, by measuring and reducing gradually such disparities and their related costs, without totally canceling the existing resource distribution. While a lot of research has been carried out in the area of resource allocation, this specific class of problems has not yet been formally studied. The paper exposes the results of an exploratory research study of this class of problems. It identifies the commonalities of the family of hierarchical multiresource allocation systems and proposes the concept of multisorted tree-algebra for the modeling of these problems. The research presented here is not yet an in-depth descriptive research study of the mathematical theory of multisorted tree-algebra, but a formal study on modelling hierarchical multiresource allocation problems. Quadratic programming with interval coefficients developed to overcome cases in classic quadratic programming where the coefficient value is unknown and must be estimated. This paper discusses the extension of Wolfe method. The extended Wolfe method can be used to solve quadratic programming with interval coefficients. The extension process of Wolfe method involves the transformation of the quadratic programming with interval coefficients model into linear programming with interval coefficients model. This paper presents the detailed analysis of theoretical concepts used in mathematical modeling, simulation' and hardware implementation. The objective of this work is to compare the dynamic performances of the vector control methods for CSI fed IM drives. Based on the results, dynamic performances of the proposed drives are individually analysed using the sensitivity tests. The tests that are chosen for the comparison are step changes in the reference speed and torque of the motor drive. Here the IM is mathematically modeled in different reference frames for input output linearization (IOL) control, field oriented control (FOC), and direct torque control method (DTC) which are designed using hardware equivalent mathematical equations. The most important contributions in this paper are mathematical simulation structure of IM model in rotor flux frame using current and speed that were developed and implemented in MATLAB-Simulink. The concept of congestion, which is mainly applied in economics, refers to a situation where inputs are overinvested. Many studies have focused on congestion measurement by means of data envelopment analysis (DEA). However, most of the previous investigations only considered the framework of desirable outputs. In fact, firms in the real world unavoidably generate undesirable outputs (such as pollutants or wastes) along with desirable outputs. Therefore, a new scheme is required for measuring congestion in the simultaneous presence of both desirable and undesirable outputs. This paper develops a nonradial efficiency measure for including undesirable outputs into the environmental performance. Based on the proposed model, a new definition and a new approach are presented to deal with congestion in the simultaneous presence of desirable and undesirable outputs. Then, this paper uses the presented method to study the pollutants (waste gas emission and waste discharge) of 31 administrative regions of China. The finding indicates that 7 industries pay attention to the reduction of their pollutants accompanying improvement of their commercial targets. The location selection of a logistics center is a crucial decision relating to cost and benefit analysis in airline industry. However, it is difficult to be solved because there are many conflicting and multiple objectives in location problems. To solve the problem, this paper integrates fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS) andmultichoice goal programming (MCGP) to obtain an appropriate logistics center from many alternative locations for airline industry. Nonclassical slicing and symmetry reduction can act as efficient structural abstract methods for pruning state space when dealing with verification problems. In this paper, we mainly address theoretical and algorithmic aspects for nonclassical slicing and symmetry reduction over prime event structures. We propose sliced and symmetric quotient reduction models of event structures and present their corresponding algorithms. To construct the underlying foundation of the proposed methodologies, we introduce strong and weak conflict concepts and a pair of mutually inverse operators and extend permutation group based symmetry notion of event structures. We have established a unified mathematical framework for slicing and symmetry reduction, and further investigated the translation, isomorphism, and equivalence relationship and other related basic facts from a theoretical point of view. The framework may provide useful guidance and theoretical exploration for overcoming verification challenges. This paper also demonstrates their practical applications by two cases. A wireless network system is a pair (Ù;B), where B is a family of some base stations and Ù is a set of their users. To investigate the connectivity of wireless network systems, this paper takes covering approximation spaces as mathematical models of wireless network systems. With the help of covering approximation operators, this paper characterizes the connectivity of covering approximation spaces by their definable subsets. Furthermore, it is obtained that a wireless network system is connected if and only if the relevant covering approximation space has no nonempty definable proper subset. As an application of this result, the connectivity of a teacher-student interactive platform is discussed, which is established in the School of Mathematical Sciences of Soochow University. In this paper mathematical modeling of a vehicle crash test based on a single-mass is studied. The model under consideration consists of a single-mass coupled with a spring and/or a damper. The parameters for the spring and damper are obtained by analyzing the measured acceleration in the center of gravity of the vehicle during a crash. A model with a nonlinear spring and damper is also proposed and the parameters will be optimized with different damper and spring characteristics and optimization algorithms. The optimization algorithms used are interior-point and firefly algorithm. Virtualization plays an important role in the recent trend of cloud computing. It allows the administrator to manage and allocate hardware resources flexibly. However, it also causes some security issues. This is a critical problem for service providers, who simultaneously strive to defend againstmalicious attackers while providing legitimate users with high quality service. In this paper, the attack-defense scenario is formulated as a mathematical model where the defender applies both proactive and reactive defense mechanisms against attackers with different attack strategies. In order to simulate real-world conditions, the attackers are assumed to have incomplete information and imperfect knowledge of the target network. This raises the difficulty of solving the model greatly, by turning the problem nondeterministic. After examining the experiment results, effective proactive and reactive defense strategies are proposed. This paper finds that a proactive defense strategy is suitable for dealing with aggressive attackers under "winner takes all" circumstances, while a reactive defense strategy works better in defending against less aggressive attackers under "fight to win or die" circumstances. A stochastic mathematical model of host-pathogen interaction has been developed to estimate the time to extinction of infected population. It has been assumed in the model that the infected host does not grow or reproduce but can recover from pathogenic infection and move to add to the susceptible host population using various drugs or vaccination. Extinction of infected population in host-pathogen interaction depends significantly upon the total population. Here, we consider an extension of our previous work with the stochastic approach to predict the time to extinction of disease pathogenesis. The optimal control approach helped in designing an innovative, safe therapeutic regimen where the susceptible host population enhanced with simultaneous decrease in the infected population. By means of an optimal control theory paradigm, it has also been shown in our preceding research paper that the cost-effective combination of treatment may depend on the population size. In this research paper, we have studied an approximation which is derived in favor of quasi-stationary distribution along with the expected time to extinction for the model of host-pathogen interactions. The complete study has been roofed through the stochastic approach in context that disease pathogenesis is to be extinct and infected population are going to be recovered. In this paper, we formulate a mathematical model of nonautonomous ordinary differential equations describing the dynamics of malaria transmission with age structure for the vector population. The biting rate of mosquitoes is considered as a positive periodic function which depends on climatic factors. The basic reproduction ratio of the model is obtained and we show that it is the threshold parameter between the extinction and the persistence of the disease. Thus, by applying the theorem of comparison and the theory of uniform persistence, we prove that if the basic reproduction ratio is less than 1, then the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and if it is greater than 1, then there exists at least one positive periodic solution. This paper deals with bimatrix games in uncertainty environment based on several types of ordering, which Maeda proposed. But Maeda's models was just made based on symmetrical triangle fuzzy variable. In this paper, we generalized Maeda's model to the non-symmetrical environment. In other words, we investigated the fuzzy bimatrix games based on nonsymmetrical L-R fuzzy variables. Then the pseudoinverse of a nonconstant monotone function was given and the concept of crisp parametric bimatrix games was introduced. At last, the existence condition of Nash equilibrium strategies of the fuzzy bimatrix games is proposed and (weak) Pareto equilibrium of the fuzzy bimatrix games was obtained through the Nash equilibrium of the crisp parametric bimatrix. A multi-degree-of-freedom dynamical system with local cubic nonlinearities subjected to super/subharmonic excitation is considered in this paper. The purpose of this paper is to approximate the nonlinear response of system at super/sub harmonic resonance. For many situations, single resonance mode is often observed to be leading as system enters into super/sub harmonic resonance. In this case, the single modal natural resonance theory can be applied to reduce the system model and a simplified model with only a single DOF is always obtained. Thus, an approximate solution and the analytical expression of frequency response relation are then derived using classical perturbation analysis. While the system is controlled by multiple modes, modal analysis for linearized system is used to decide dominant modes. The reduced model governed by these relevant modes is found and results in an approximate numerical solutions. An illustrative example of the discrete mass-spring-damper nonlinear vibration system with ten DOFs is examined. The approximation results are validated by comparing them with the calculations from direct numerical integration of the equation of motion of the original nonlinear system. The first step in the analysis of a structure is to generate its configuration. Different means are available for this purpose. The use of graph products is an example of such tools. In this paper, the use of product graphs is extended for the formation of different types of structural models. Here weighted graphs are used as the generators and the connectivity properties of different models are expressed in terms of the properties of their generators through simple algebraic relationships. In this paper by using graph product concepts and spatial structured matrices, a new algebraic closed form is proposed for mathematical formulation and presentation of structures. This paper proposes new metaheuristic algorithms for an identification problem of nonlinear friction model. The proposed cooperative algorithms are formed from the bacterial foraging optimization (BFO) algorithm and the tabu search (TS). The paper reports the search comparison studies of the BFO, the TS, the genetic algorithm (GA), and the proposed metaheuristics. Search performances are assessed by using surface optimization problems. The proposed algorithms show superiority among them. This paper begins with presenting a mathematical model for contaminant transport in the fractured vuggy porous media of a species of contaminant (PCP). Two phases are numerically simulated for a process of contaminant and clean water infiltrated in the fractured vuggy porous media by coupling mixed finite element (MFE) method and finite volume method (FVM), both of which are locally conservative, to approximate the model. A hybrid mixed finite element (HMFE) method is applied to approximate the velocity field for the model. The convection and diffusion terms are approached by FVM and the standard MFE, respectively. The pressure distribution and temporary evolution of the concentration profiles are obtained for two phases. The average effluent concentration on the outflow boundary is obtained at different time and shows some different features from the matrix porous media. The temporal multiscale phenomena of the effluent concentration on the outlet are observed. The results show how the different distribution of the vugs and the fractures impacts on the contaminant transport and the effluent concentration on the outlet. We study the inextensible flows of curves in 3-dimensional Euclidean space R3. The main purpose of this paper is constructing and plotting the surfaces that are generated from the motion of inextensible curves in R3. Also, we study some geometric properties of those surfaces. We give some examples about the inextensible flows of curves in R3 and we determine the curves from their intrinsic equations (curvature and torsion). A networked control system (NCS) is a control system where components such as plants and controllers are connected through communication networks. Self-triggered control is well known as one of the control methods in NCSs and is a control method that for sampled-data control systems both the control input and the aperiodic sampling interval (i.e., the transmission interval) are computed simultaneously. In this paper, a self-triggered model predictive control (MPC) method for discrete-time linear systems with disturbances is proposed. In the conventional MPC method, the first one of the control input sequence obtained by solving the finite-time optimal control problem is sent and applied to the plant. In the proposed method, the first some elements of the control input sequence obtained are sent to the plant, and each element is sequentially applied to the plant. The number of elements is decided according to the effect of disturbances. In other words, transmission intervals can be controlled. In flexible microrolling, springback in thickness direction is a critical indicator to determine the forming quality. Accurate prediction of springback is one of the significant aspects in the finite element analysis of flexible microrolling. Meshing is a step of great importance in finite element analysis of manufacturing process as it directly determines the accuracy of the FEA results as well as the requested computational time. This paper presents a numerical study on revealing the mesh effects on the accuracy of springback estimation utilising ABAQUS/Standard for modelling and analyses. Two types of meshes with six mesh sizes for each mesh type are considered in this study and the optimal mesh type and mesh size have been found to obtain accurate value of springback while saving as much computational time as possible. The calculation of average material contact pressure to rolls base on mathematical theory of rolling process given by Karman equation was solved by many authors. The solutions reported by authors are used simplifications for solution of Karman equation. The simplifications are based on two cases for approximation of the circular arch: (a) by polygonal curve and (b) by parabola. The contribution of the present paper for solution of two-dimensional differential equation of rolling is based on description of the circular arch by equation of a circle. The new term relative stress as nondimensional variable was defined. The result from derived mathematical models can be calculated following variables: normal contact stress distribution, front and back tensions, angle of neutral point, coefficient of the arm of rolling force, rolling force, and rolling torque during rolling process. Laboratory cold rolled experiment of CuZn30 brass material was performed. Work hardening during brass processing was calculated. Comparison of theoretical values of normal contact stress with values of normal contact stress obtained from cold rolling experiment was performed. In project management context, time management is one of the most important factors affecting project success. This paper proposes a new method to solve research project scheduling problems (RPSP) containing Fuzzy Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique (FGERT) networks. Through the deliverables of this method, a proper estimation of project completion time (PCT) and success probability can be achieved. So algorithms were developed to cover all features of the problem based on three main parameters “duration, occurrence probability, and success probability.” These developed algorithms were known as PR-FGERT (Parallel and Reversible-Fuzzy GERT networks). The main provided framework includes simplifying the network of project and taking regular steps to determine PCT and success probability. Simplifications include (1) equivalent making of parallel and series branches in fuzzy network considering the concepts of probabilistic nodes, (2) equivalent making of delay or reversible-to-itself branches and impact of changing the parameters of time and probability based on removing related branches, (3) equivalent making of simple and complex loops, and (4) an algorithm that was provided to resolve no-loop fuzzy network, after equivalent making. This paper is concerned with the numerical solution of partial integrodifferential equation for option pricing models under a tempered stable process known as CGMY model. A double discretization finite difference scheme is used for the treatment of the unbounded nonlocal integral term. We also introduce in the scheme the Patankar-trick to guarantee unconditional nonnegative numerical solutions. Integration formula of open type is used in order to improve the accuracy of the approximation of the integral part. Stability and consistency are also studied. Illustrative examples are included.
