Lung cancer is the biggest cause of cancer mortality worldwide and a major impediment to extending life expectancy. In comparison to other cancers, it has a relatively poor survival rate. In this paper, we have developed a mathematical model for lung cancer based on biological phenomena using nonlinear ordinary differential equations and analyzed it both analytically and numerically. According to the findings, CD8+ T cells and dendritic cells have a role in tumor cell variety. Surgery and chemotherapy have been used as treatment options, and we have observed that three doses of chemotherapy after surgery had the greatest results after examining several treatment options. During the treatment period, the cycle of each chemotherapy has been taken every 4 weeks, and the first dose has been taken after 28 days of surgery. Finally, we have evaluated the various starting dates for the best treatment choice and discovered that the patient who begins treatment sooner has a better probability of surviving. Nowadays, skin cancer is a worldwide panic. It is related to ultraviolet radiation. In this paper, we have formulated a SIRS type mathematical model to show the effects of ultraviolet radiation on skin cancer. At first, we have showed the boundedness and positivity of the model solutions to verify the model's existence and uniqueness. The boundedness and positivity gave the solutions of our model bounded and positive, which was very important for real-world situation because in real world, population cannot be negative. Then, we have popped out all the equilibrium points of our model and verified the stability of the equilibrium points. This stability test expressed some physical situation of our model. The disease-free equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable if R 0 < 1 and if R 0 > 1 , then it is unstable. Again, the endemic equilibrium point is stable, if R 0 > 1 and unstable if R 0 < 1. In order to understand the dynamical behavior of the model's equilibrium points, we examined the phase portrait. We also have observed the sensitivity of the model parameters. After this, we have investigated the different scenarios of bifurcations of the model's parameters. At the set of Hopf bifurcation parameters when infection rate due to UV rays is less than α 1 = 0.01 , proper control may eradicate the existence of disease. From transcritical bifurcation, we can say when recovery rate greater than 1.9, then the disease of skin cancer can be eliminated and when recovery rate less than 1.9 then the disease of skin cancer cannot be eradicated. Tuberculosis (TB) and coronavirus (COVID-19) are both infectious diseases that globally continue affecting millions of people every year. They have similar symptoms such as cough, fever, and difficulty breathing but differ in incubation periods. This paper introduces a mathematical model for the transmission dynamics of TB and COVID-19 coinfection using a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The well-posedness of the proposed coinfection model is then analytically studied by showing properties such as the existence, boundedness, and positivity of the solutions. The stability analysis of the equilibrium points of submodels is also discussed separately after computing the basic reproduction numbers. In each case, the disease-free equilibrium points of the submodels are proved to be both locally and globally stable if the reproduction numbers are less than unity. Besides, the coinfection disease-free equilibrium point is proved to be conditionally stable. The sensitivity and bifurcation analysis are also studied. Generally speaking, spoken term detection system will degrade significantly because of mismatch between acoustic model and spontaneous speech. This paper presents an improved spoken term detection strategy, which integrated with a novel phoneme confusion matrix and an improved word-level minimum classification error (MCE) training method. In the paper, we have considered a nonlinear compartmental mathematical model that assesses the effect of treatment on the dynamics of HIV/AIDS and pneumonia coinfection in a human population at different infection stages. Our model revealed that the disease-free equilibrium points of the HIV/AIDS and pneumonia submodels are both locally and globally asymptotically stable whenever the associated basic reproduction numbers ( R H and R P ) are less than unity. Both the submodel endemic equilibrium points are locally and globally asymptotically stable whenever the associated basic reproduction numbers ( R P and R H ) are greater than unity. The full HIV/AIDS-pneumonia coinfection model has both locally and globally asymptotically stable disease-free equilibrium points whenever the basic reproduction number of the coinfection model R H P is less than unity. Using standard values of parameters collected from different kinds of literature, we found that the numerical values of the basic reproduction numbers of the HIV/AIDS-only submodel and pneumonia-only submodel are 17 and 7, respectively, and the basic reproduction number of the HIV/AIDS-pneumonia coinfection model is max 7 , 17 = 17. Applying sensitive analysis, we identified the most influential parameters to change the behavior of the solution of the considered coinfection dynamical system are the HIV/AIDS and pneumonia transmission rates β 1 and β 2 , respectively. The coinfection model was numerically simulated to investigate the stability of the coinfection endemic equilibrium point, the impacts of transmission rates, and treatment strategies for HIV/AIDS-only, pneumonia-only, and HIV/AIDS-pneumonia coinfected individuals. This paper presents a mathematical model that describes the transmission dynamics of schistosomiasis for humans, snails, and the free living miracidia and cercariae. The model incorporates the treated compartment and a preventive factor due to water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) for the human subpopulation. A qualitative analysis was performed to examine the invariant regions, positivity of solutions, and disease equilibrium points together with their stabilities. The basic reproduction number, R 0 , is computed and used as a threshold value to determine the existence and stability of the equilibrium points. It is established that, under a specific condition, the disease-free equilibrium exists and there is a unique endemic equilibrium when R 0 > 1. It is shown that the disease-free equilibrium point is both locally and globally asymptotically stable provided R 0 < 1 , and the unique endemic equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable whenever R 0 > 1 using the concept of the Center Manifold Theory. A numerical simulation carried out showed that at R 0 = 1 , the model exhibits a forward bifurcation which, thus, validates the analytic results. Numerical analyses of the control strategies were performed and discussed. Further, a sensitivity analysis of R 0 was carried out to determine the contribution of the main parameters towards the die out of the disease. Finally, the effects that these parameters have on the infected humans were numerically examined, and the results indicated that combined application of treatment and WASH will be effective in eradicating schistosomiasis. The first step in the analysis of a structure is to generate its configuration. Different means are available for this purpose. The use of graph products is an example of such tools. In this paper, the use of product graphs is extended for the formation of different types of structural models. Here weighted graphs are used as the generators and the connectivity properties of different models are expressed in terms of the properties of their generators through simple algebraic relationships. This paper centres on the application of the new piecewise successive linearization method (PSLM) in solving the chaotic and nonchaotic Chen system. Numerical simulations are presented graphically and comparison is made between the PSLM and Runge-Kutta-based methods. We provide a new definition for reproducing kernel space with weighted integral and present a method to construct and calculate the reproducing kernel for the space. The new reproducing kernel space is an enlarged reproducing kernel space, which contains the traditional reproducing kernel space. The techniques for parametrizing nonsingular cubic surfaces have shown to be of great interest in recent years. This paper is devoted to the rational parametrization of nonsingular cubic blending surfaces. We claim that these nonsingular cubic blending surfaces can be parametrized using the symbolic computation due to their excellent geometric properties. Especially for the specific forms of these surfaces, we conclude that they must be F3, F4, or F5 surfaces, and a criterion is given for deciding their surface types. Besides, using the algorithm proposed by Berry and Patterson in 2001, we obtain the uniform rational parametric representation of these specific forms. It should be emphasized that our results in this paper are invariant under any nonsingular real projective transform. Two explicit examples are presented at the end of this paper. Some properties of the weak subdifferential are considered in this paper. By using the definition and properties of the weak subdifferential which are described in the papers (Azimov and Gasimov, 1999; Kasimbeyli and Mammadov, 2009; Kasimbeyli and Inceoglu, 2010), the author proves some theorems connecting weak subdifferential in nonsmooth and nonconvex analysis. In this paper, the analyses of traffic evolution on the road network of a roundabout having three entrances and three exiting legs are conducted from macroscopic point of view. The road networks of roundabouts are modeled as a merging and diverging types 1 × 2 and 2 × 1 junctions. To study traffic evolution at junction, two cases have been considered, namely, demand and supply limited cases. In each case, detailed mathematical analysis and numerical tests have been presented. The analysis in the case of demand limited showed that rarefaction wave fills the portion of the road network in time. In the contrary, in supply limited case, traffic congestion occurs at merging junctions and shock wave propagating back results in reducing the performance of a roundabout to control traffic dynamics. Hidden symmetries entered the literature in the late Eighties when it was observed that there could be gain of Lie point symmetry in the reduction of order of an ordinary differential equation. Subsequently the reverse process was also observed. Such symmetries were termed "hidden". In each case the source of the "new" symmetry was a contact symmetry or a nonlocal symmetry, that is, a symmetry with one or more of the coefficient functions containing an integral. Recent work by Abraham-Shrauner and Govinder (2006) on the reduction of partial differential equations demonstrates that it is possible for these "hidden" symmetries to have a point origin. In this paper we show that the same phenomenon can be observed in the reduction of ordinary differential equations and in a sense loosen the interpretation of hidden symmetries. In recent decades, several types of sets, such as fuzzy sets, interval-valued fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets, type 2 fuzzy sets, type n fuzzy sets, and hesitant fuzzy sets, have been introduced and investigated widely. In this paper, we propose dual hesitant fuzzy sets (DHFSs, which encompass fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, hesitant fuzzy sets, and fuzzy multisets as special cases. Then we investigate the basic operations and properties of DHFSs. We also discuss the relationships among the sets mentioned above, use a notion of nested interval to reflect their common ground, then propose an extension principle of DHFSs. Under the condition that the values of mapping F are evaluated approximately, we propose a proximal analytic center cutting plane algorithm for solving variational inequalities. This paper investigates the inverse problem of determining a heat source in the parabolic heat equation using the usual conditions. Firstly, the problem is reduced to an equivalent problem which is easy to handle using variational iteration method. Secondly, variational iteration method is used to solve the reduced problem. Using this method a rapid convergent sequence can be produced which tends to the exact solution of the problem. This paper suggests a novel modified Laplace method for removal of noise oscillation term appearing in the nonlinear equation solutions. In this paper, we consider a cross-diffusion predator-prey model with sex structure. We prove that cross-diffusion can destabilize a uniform positive equilibrium which is stable for the ODE system and for the weakly coupled reaction-diffusion system. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the problems of the well-posedness for a system of mixed quasivariational-like inequalities in Banach spaces. First, we generalize the concept of a-well-posedness to the system of mixed quasivariational-like inequalities, which includes symmetric quasi-equilibrium problems as a special case. Second, we establish some metric characterizations of a-well-posedness for the system of mixed quasivariational-like inequalities. Under some suitable conditions, we prove that the a-well-posedness is equivalent to the existence and uniqueness of solution for the system of mixed quasivariational-like inequalities. The corresponding concept of a-well-posedness in the generalized sense is also considered for the system of mixed quasivariational-like inequalities having more than one solution. This paper deals with the modeling of fault for analog circuits. A two-dimensional (2D) fault model is first proposed based on collaborative analysis of supply current and output voltage. This model is a family of circle loci on the complex plane, and it simplifies greatly the algorithms for test point selection and potential fault simulations, which are primary difficulties in fault diagnosis of analog circuits. Furthermore, in order to reduce the difficulty of fault location, an improved fault model in three-dimensional (3D) complex space is proposed, which achieves a far better fault detection ratio (FDR) against measurement error and parametric tolerance. To address the problem of fault masking in both 2D and 3D fault models, this paper proposes an effective design for testability (DFT) method. By adding redundant bypassing-components in the circuit under test (CUT), this method achieves excellent fault isolation ratio (FIR) in ambiguity group isolation. Nonclassical slicing and symmetry reduction can act as efficient structural abstract methods for pruning state space when dealing with verification problems. In this paper, we mainly address theoretical and algorithmic aspects for nonclassical slicing and symmetry reduction over prime event structures. We propose sliced and symmetric quotient reduction models of event structures and present their corresponding algorithms. To construct the underlying foundation of the proposed methodologies, we introduce strong and weak conflict concepts and a pair of mutually inverse operators and extend permutation group based symmetry notion of event structures. We have established a unified mathematical framework for slicing and symmetry reduction, and further investigated the translation, isomorphism, and equivalence relationship and other related basic facts from a theoretical point of view. This paper investigates finite-time synchronization of the singular hybrid coupled networks. The singular systems studied in this paper are assumed to be regular and impulse-free. Some sufficient conditions are derived to ensure finite-time synchronization of the singular hybrid coupled networks under a state feedback controller by using finite-time stability theory. This paper is devoted to investigating the limit properties of distances and the existence and uniqueness of fixed points, best proximity points and existence, and uniqueness of limit cycles, to which the iterated sequences converge, of single-valued, and socalled, contractive precyclic self-mappings which are proposed in this paper. Such self-mappings are defined on the union of a finite set of subsets of uniformly convex Banach spaces under generalized contractive conditions. Each point of a subset is mapped either in some point of the same subset or in a point of the adjacent subset. In the general case, the contractive condition of contractive precyclic self-mappings is admitted to be point dependent and it is only formulated on a complete disposal, rather than on each individual subset, while it involves a condition on the number of iterations allowed within each individual subset before switching to its adjacent one. It is also allowed that the distances in-between adjacent subsets can be mutually distinct including the case of potential pairwise intersection for only some of the pairs of adjacent subsets. The granular reduction is to delete dispensable elements from a covering. It is an efficient method to reduce granular structures and get rid of the redundant information from information systems. In this paper, we develop an algorithm based on discernability matrixes to compute all the granular reducts of covering rough sets. In order to understand intuitively the relationships between these two theories, we study this problem from the viewpoint of graph theory. Therefore, any partition of the universe can be represented by a family of complete graphs or cycles. Then two different kinds of matroids are constructed and some matroidal characteristics of them are discussed, respectively. The lower and the upper approximations are formulated with these matroidal characteristics. Some new properties, which have not been found in rough sets, are obtained. Furthermore, by defining the concept of lower approximation number, the rank function of some subset of the universe and the approximations of the subset are connected. Finally, the relationships between the two types of matroids are discussed, and the result shows that they are just dual matroids. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The criteria for complete synchronization of strictly different chaotic systems using feedback control are presented in this paper. Complete synchronization is achieved when all the states in the slave system are synchronous with the corresponding state in the master system. We illustrate that using a single input and single output control scheme, the synchronization of a class of strictly different systems is obtained in partial form. To overcome this problem we show that a multiple input and multiple output control scheme with an equal number of inputs and outputs than the order system is required in order to obtain the complete synchronization. This procedure is used to synchronize the Rõssler and the Chen systems as an example. We also demonstrate that if the synchronization scheme considers less inputs and outputs, the partial-state synchronization is obtained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
