Structural and magnetic properties of pseudo-binary compounds CrAs1-xPx (
0≤x≤1 ) with the MnP-type structure have been studied by X-ray diffraction, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and differential thermal analysis. For the compounds withx=0 and 0.03, the lattice parameters a and c increase abruptly, and b andv (unit cell volume) decrease abruptly at 265 and 110 K, respectively, which are considered to correspond to the Néel temperature (TN), as temperature increases. Magnetic susceptibility of all the prepared compounds shows feasible temperature dependence at temperatures from 4.2 to 300 K. The decrease of TN with x is discussed based on the x dependence of lattice parameters. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]- Published
